It was an ok experience For me im the sort if i like the service im gonna like the whole experience
When it was getting to midnight it got abit chilli and the heating wasn't working made the stay alittle tooo cold but oh well.better luck next time
THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT.THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE , AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE .
UNDER THE BED HAD NOT BEEN HOOVERED , AND THERE IS NO PLUG BESIDE THE MIRRORS TO DO YOUR HAIR .
Stepped of train and walked a few metres to hotel -within spitting distance. Went to a party only 10 minute taxi ride away.
Wifi on and off and not free. Forgot it's only basic and thought I could phone reception to check on taxi - hah! No phone in room.
The ease of parking, the delicious breakfast and spacious room. I would recommend it.
The bed was a little hard for me and the coffee /bar closed very early.
Restaurant facilities were really good.
Having to sleep on the sofa as I was bitten a number of times across my bk and stomach from bed bugs. The staff wasn't much help when informed them of this.
The staff were excellent!! Really helpful and friendly. The room was brilliantly clean and so comfortable. Our breakfast was cooked to order and the best we've had in a long time. Nothing disturbed our sleep all night.
It had shampoo and a comfy bed, with a pillow selection no less.
Why don't hotels give you biscuits, eh?
Very comfortable room we really enjoyed our breakfast and were able to do some catching up and return to a comfortable room such helpful kind staff.
I liked everything about this inn can't fault
It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful
The self service check in was flawless, as was the dinner experience in the small kitchen bar. It is literally just outside the station, which is a plus, and only 11mins on foot to the shops. 30 minutes of free internet, which was nice, but could be made wholly free given the lack of signal for the phone.
There was no network coverage whatsoever inside the hotel, couldn't even get a proper call through.
The attentive nature of the staff
Would have preferred a biscuit or two with the coffee in the room, but really nothing to complain about.
Facilities were fine and the hound female member of staff who welcomed us was very good.
The very hard bed: it was like an ironing board and I had a v poor sleep as a result. The previous guests towel was left behind the bathroom door. The staff service at breakfast was appalling! I had to set my own table, ask the waiter to take our breakfast orders and observe staff meandering around aimlessly whilst our plates were beginning to pile up on our table! The chef came out into the room, revealing the most filthy and scruffy chef 'whites' as well! The restaurant only had about 4 tables being used, so was not busy. Come on Premier Inn, this branch needs staff training pdq! A shame as other branches are doing so well.
Very comfortable room, clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
My husband found the bed too firm for his liking.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The inn was very clean. convenient and the food and drinks were fresh and good value. It was very quiet. The towels were fluffy and new.
We were surprised there wasn't a phone or hairdryer.
Using a "disabled facility" room & not being disabled. Not being able to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked (but plenty of seats available all evening). Willing staff but doing things by rote
staff and location near to station
Room Staff Breakfast
Staff great. Always get a good nights sleep.
No hair driers available. Bin in room hadn't been emptied.
Pillow too soft but minor detail thought WIFI should be for the room not just 2 devices
visiting family gathering so needed somewhere nearby to stay. This was two miles away so very convenient, easy to find location. Ended up in disabled facilities room on ground floor as last room left at time of booking although I did not need them personally. Room was large and spacious and well laid out for people with limited mobility. Good tea/coffe making facilities. There is a facility in reception to auto book in if no staff but I was greeted by very friendly personnel on arrival and departure. Did not have breakfast but two very reasonably priced options available if required.
Most importantly for an overnight stay - very clean room and ensuite, very comfortable bed, welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely big bathroom towels. Quiet (may have been neighbouring rooms were empty but we didn't hear anyone) Good size mugs (not the tiny cups you sometimes get in hotels) - enough tea and coffee for 2 drinks per person (take more if you want more than this).
Wifi was free for 30 minutes - didin't realise this had to be taken in one go ie you can't have 5 minutes, then log on later for 25 minutes. Not a major problem as wifi was only £3 for 24 hour use - just wish this had been a bit clearer. No socket for shaver or electric toothbrush. No plug near mirror for hairdryer (hairdryer not provided by the way). Prefer a bar of soap to liquid soaps but that's a personal thing (next time would take my own) All very minor though points - would still rate stay as excellent.
Very nice room and excellent value for money. Friendly staff make you feel welcome.
nothing negative to report
Informative and helpful staff member helped us on arrival. Easy parking.
Disabled access room meant a wet room bathroom. Unfortunately this didn't drain well and lead to all areas of the bathroom being wet underfoot.
Convenient location as a stop over on the way to Dorset and beyond. Friendly staff, good food, guarantee of a comfortable and undisturbed night's sleep, great value for money.
I believe this is a new hotel. The design would benefit from a dividing door or similar between reception and the dining room/bar. Enjoyment of our evening meal was spoiled somewhat by proximity to reception and the conversations taking place between staff and customers booking in and checking out. Otherwise no negatives thank you.
