reception staff very helpful room clean location great tv very large bed very comfortable
Comfortable Room Room facilities Location
Stopped serving food early Bad wifi signal Staff could do with some training in customer liaison
Staff in hotel
Staff in adjoining restaurant. Manager tried hard, but communicated in Americanised customer-service speak. Waitress was badly trained. Food uninspiring.
only 30 min wifi no bottled water in room difficult to find radio on Freeview without a clue
- Nice, friendly, clean - room big enough - good restaurant attached - good breakfast
- the blanket was very thick ... so it was too hot at night
Great location for Channel Tunnel
The temperature in the room registered 28°c when we arrived. There was a floor-standing fan already plugged into the wall socket moving the hot air around! We spoke to reception who said there was nothing they could do except offer us a thin sheet for the bed rather than the duvet. We were unable to sleep and so availed ourselves of the money back guarantee there was no quibble from reception next morning. It didn't make the 10 hour drive the next day very easy as we'd had no sleep but we weren't charged.
The hotel was ideally located for touring the southeast coast, the food was excellent.
No telephone - No hairdryer and very noisy restaurant - had to borrow alarm clock
As seen on their TV adverts; clean, spacious, modern decor, good value. Big TV was nice touch. The bed was the real bonus, as good as many 5-star hotels; super comfy mattress and pillows. Overall, great.
good nights sleep x
Location is good.
Room 21 on the ground floor has a very strong damp musty smell that hits you as soon as you open the door and even having the window left open all day by the cleaning staff didn't seem to change the lingering smell much.
Cleanliness. Beds very comfortable.breakfast was lovely, fresh with lots of choice & waiter was very nice & there to help in any way possible.
Room was very hot (they supplied a big fan in all of our rooms but this was not enough & would of been even worse/unbearable in peak of summer. This would not be a problem in autumn/winter months. They only included 1 adult breakfast (children eat free) in the total price, this seems strange as it is a room for 2 adults & 2 children.
The breakfast was lovely and you could have as much or as little of what you liked.
We were in an annex. We paid for a quad room and were given a triple.
I liked everything
Noise from late customers of the restaurant standing outside to be able to smoke talking/laughing at the tops of their voices! Told by your staff to ask for a different room next visit.
Lovely comfortable bed, room clean food lovely and staff were so friendly
Have stayed in this hotel many times before, coming from or going to the Continent. This time the room was very warm and could not be cooled down in spite of the electric fan in the room. Good location for the motorway.
Also this time food at the Table Table restaurant was very mediocre ,and it seemed to be very understaffed. We had to wait ages before we were allowed to pay. The English Breakfast very greasy, the breakfast buffet felt grubby, not their usual standard at all.
Spotless room, very comfortable and good pub/restaurant next door
Some low intensity lighting in the bathroom would be helpful
The reception and restaurant staff The standards throughout the hotel
The price...obviously an extra £20 for proximity to Le Shuttle
No hair-dryer in room, and asked on two consecutive days for one to be provided, but it never came. Booked quad room - had 3 beds, but remarkably they only provided towels for one person!
Total happy and relaxed stay. Very quiet at night except for fan in room, easy enough turn it off
People parking in disabled space.
Friendly, helpful staff on reception.Impeccably clean, spacious room. Receptionist gave us an EXTRA card for our disabled daughter's room so we could gain access while she had the electric on. Seems a small thing but makes a BIG difference. Furthermore the girl on reception suggested it without being asked-10/10.
Comfortable. Staff were always helpful and on hand to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable.
More choice of teas could be available in the room.
Location. Good parking. Helpful staff.
Room was very hot and the quilt was too thick for the summer.
location and distance to the Shuttle terminal
The room was much, much to hot and the controls for the heating system did not work
