Easy to get to. and somewhere to eat etc. on site. Breakfast enjoyable and eat as much as you like. My chosen room seemed to suffer from outside road noise but never heard it between about 23.00 and 6.00 am.

All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This included the ladies cleaning the room, reception and those working in the restaurant. The room was a good size, clean and was very quiet despite being next to a busy road. Breakfast was excellent with healthy choices. The only issue was we found the heating for the room inadequate, but we were provided with a portable heater from reception, which overcame this problem.

Reception staff were nice and friendly Housekeepers were rude and badged into our room to ask us out as we ran 20 minutes late in getting out even after I called reception to explain I had lost my car and running late. I asked if I can get and pay some extra time to sort out an unexpected situation whilst outdoors, but I was asked to pay for another day or just get out. When I returned the houkeepers/cleaners badged into my room and asked if they can move my stuff out when and actually came into the room to search my room, then grimaced at each other, very unkind behaviour. Other hotels offer extra time maximum 2 hours, which you pay. I am a club member of Holiday Inn Express and their hospitality is of a very high standard, so I am not new to the hotel industry.

Reception staff friendly. Offered to change room from disabled to standard double. Restaurant staff friendly and informative. Room clean and comfortable. Only one set of towels in room which we didn't notice until needed. No way of contacting reception without leaving room. Cooked breakfast on the cool side where it had been standing on hotplate.

How clean the room was. The bed was comfortable. And we couldn't hear the road from outside and there was no noise from next door or outside our room. I thought the staff were very friendly too. I thought the price was quite high. Couldn't afford to stay here as often as i would like too.

Clean room, friendly staff and convenient location. Chilly rooms (esp as it was -3 oC outside). Heating is on a 2 hour timer, so you can't set it, go out and come back to a nice cosy room, you have to wait for the small heater to warm room back up once you get in, by which time you'll 'possibly' be asleep anyway. Oh, and the soap dispensers in our en-suite didn't work. Nothing too bad to grumble about though.

From previous stays at this hotel; I did request a room at top floor, and round at the back backing onto the carpark. We were allotted Room 70 - which was ideal for what we required. (I understand that this arrangement was made by the hotel booking staff.) We did have both dinner and breakfast at the Honourable Pilot, next door, and the food and choices were very good. Particularly the breakfast. The timings, food and staff were excellent. Not applicable.

Close to amenities and 24 hr reception. I arrived at 6.15pm on 30th Nov 2012 and the poor receptionist had been left on her own by her boss. I had to wait 30 minutes to check in as it was so busy. The receptionist was apologetic but I understand that this happens frequently. It was not good enough.
