Peaceful, secure location just off motorway. Genuinely friendly staff.
This is petty I know, but ordering meals at the bar - once you've sat down with the drinks you've had to pick up at the bar.... Could it be possible to sit down and have order taken at table….?
Hypnos bed so comfy didn't want to get up. Clean spacious room with the choice of exrta heating or a cool air fan if required. Plenty of hot water, nice soft towels. Tea and coffee supplied wth kettle for drinks. Would definetly use and recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was a disappointment as there had been a large party in so there was a lack of bread for toast, fresh fruit no real mugs for hot drinks and the restaurant was cluttered with dirty crockery.Have to say staff did there best to please and were pleasant and helpful.
We booked this hotel as we were visiting friends and it was very close to where they live, the location was perfect close to everything you would need. The bed was the best I've ever slept in and the rooms where very clean. The bar is just next door and the food is lovely! I would stay here again for sure.
Nothing bad to say about this hotel at all.
Comfortable and served its purpose for us for two nights.
The hotel is outstanding for the price, the restaurant next door was very convenient. Staff at the hotel were polite and helpful. I would 100% go back to stay again.
The fact I had to get out of that comfortable bed in the morning of my departure.
not sure why it seemed be be a minus point that we had booked with booking.com
our first reception - we had to ask for a change of room - as there was painting under-way on the floor we were initially allocated.
The location was good and the breakfast was excellent quality and value for money. Bed was really comfortable.
Staff were not very friendly just looked like they did not enjoy the job. The room was small and we were on top each other as the room was not the advertised family room instead a 'put up bed'was squeezed in.when I questioned this I was told their were no family rooms at all in the building. There was no lift we were on top floor. The ground floor had a awful smell and the whole place was grubby resembled a travel lodge
Location Good parking Clean beds
Hair in bath and sink Hairs on carpet - need thorough hoover Personal comments from a staff member which we ignored only 30 mins free wi fi
The staff were wonderful and very helpful ESPECIALLY the kind man who gave us a lift to train station
The weather but hey ho you cant be blamed for that!
Good quality accommodation, quiet location, good breakfast available next door in Brewers Fayre.
No free Wi-Fi however the 24 hour charge of £3 is reasonable
The room was clean and bed comfortable. The quiet policy was successful.
The lack of air conditioning or cooling in rooms where the windows could not be opened. It would help travellers to have access to a laundry and to have a small fridge in the room. Limited access to internet restricted our ability to plan day to day holiday activities.
Good location for Stirling and Glasgow. Train station at hand too. Staff printed info on things to do around there with the kids, very helpful
very pleasant reception staff sorted out booking issues replaced quilt cover that was marked at the top no complaints at all .
lift out of action BUT great exercise upto top floor was good
Location and the view
Hotel should add extra services such as dry clean
Friendly staff, room was clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast next door. Would definitely stay there again.
Staff Room Restaurant
Disabled access room had shower over bath Noisy seagulls were alarm clock at 6.30am!
Not much; the bed is alright.
Incredibly rude receptionist called Mel; I travel a lot but never saw anything remotely like it. Noisy; walls are paper-thin, and the person upstairs (while not very noisy him/herself, actually!) sounded like a pack of elephants. Very expensive for the service provided. Very poor bathroom fan, still steamy 3 hours after a quick shower. No facial paper towels, so you need to use toilet paper (I wouldn't touch their towels for anything else than waist-down). No toilet brush, either. All-in- all, the rudeness of "Mel" contributed a lot to the negative feeling left by this hotel.
easy to get into city by public transport
limited WiFi facilities
Great place to stay outside of the city centre in the suburbs Excellent all you can eat breakfast Friendliness of the staff Excellent local taxi service to and from the games. Very fairly priced. Quiet nights sleep. No noise Hope to return
Not long enough time there.
tv noise setting--
Parking good. Ease of getting there
I had an "easy access" room which was very comfortable and quiet despite being adjacent to reception. I essentially only used the room for sleeping and the adjacent Brewers Fayre for breakfast. The breakfast staff were very friendly and courteous.
As a non-motorist it was not the easiest place to get to. A 15 minute walk to Stepps railway station was acceptable in daylight and fine weather but a bit daunting otherwise. It was hard to locate for those of us without "SatNav" ,there being no signposting.
The welcome was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom tidy and well stocked. We would recommend this family room as it has a double bed and two single beds - much better than the pull out double bed-setee that some family rooms have in certain hotel chains!
