The beds are very comfortable and give a good nights sleep. The room was easily accessible for a disability, and the bathroom was big and very clean. The room was of a very good size and very pleasantly decorated. Good facilities in the room, kettle and tea making facilities which is always appreciated. The breakfasts are always of a good quality.
Overall the standards of cleanliness are always very good and all the bedding is pristine.

Everything about this property was perfect. The location for us was great. So cosy wish we had stayed two nights, we will definitely be back sometime soon. Nice pub a short walk away which the food was amazing. And the hosts Patrick and Jenny and there three lovely dogs were really nice. Very welcoming and there breakfast was spot on, can’t thank you both enough, beautiful place

Comfortable large room , luxuriously furnished . Friendly and polite staff . Excellent evening meal and breakfast .
We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. The stay was great start to finish, very clean hotel and great breakfast. Staff was great, we requested for some water in middle of the night around 3am and a member of staff brought us full jug of water up to our room within 1 minute, highly recommend. Good spa facilities included room booking.

We stayed at Vale View Barn for 2 nights as we were going into Grantham for the Pork Pie Making Experience. We spent the day in Grantham, had lunch at Wetherspoons and walked along the river and around the park before going to the Pie Making Experience. A very pleasant day. Vale View Barn is excellent, beautifully furnished with everything you need and the owners are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately first thing in the morning the swimming pool was full of unsupervised shouting splashing children.
Not my idea of a spa retreat I'm afraid...
Pre booked or reserved children free times would have helped...

Our visit was mainly visiting family in Corby Glenn, so our experience of Grantham was just to visit to find a restaurant (one evening). Delighted to find a good Turkish restaurant; found parking nearby, so our (limited) trip to Grantham was great!

The location was very nice.
The location was very nice.
Tables were cleared but not cleaned.
No cocktail menu. No dry martini. Limited larger choice one after a short while.
Gin and tonic served in a cracked glass.
Not what you would expect from the details given of the hotel.
Evening menu not great waited nearly a hour for our meals.
However a lovely breakfast.
Disappointed with what should have been a special treat.
Although due to a family emergency, the owners had not briefed staff about my arrival, and they weren't expecting me, they very quickly and ably sorted the situation out and showed me to my small room (as expected), which was warm, comfortable and quiet. The house is well furnished and in an old part of Grantham near to the centre, but away from the traffic. Because no one else was staying that night, the staff arranged for me to have breakfast at the nearby Angel & Royal Hotel, also owned by the proprietor of this venue.
Location was good, only 10 mins from Grantham Hospital.
It's a pet friendly hotel which was ideal as we ended up having to bring our two small dogs - also plentry of space to walk them.
Easy access to our room on the 1st floor as there was a disabled lift and a wheelchair available - my partner can't walk far so this was ideal.
Room was clean, tidy and nice and quiet so had a decent night's sleep.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that.
Sat Nav took us to Housing Estate...called the hotel but no response. common sense got us to hotel where there was someone on reception so unsure why the didn’t answer.
Hotel dated but comfortable. Nothing open for food etc. Kettle was nasty.... so I despite wanting a cup of tea I didn’t have one.
This lovely privately owned hotel had great staff, who were willing to go the extra mile. The owner allowed us to park our motorcycles in a secure location with out any hesitation.
The location is perfect for exploring Grantham and the surrounding area, easy to find and the staff were very helpful
Good location within walking distance of town centre. Room was clean and quiet. There is public parking right outside the hotel and we had no problems getting a space.
Staff were friendly and helpful once at the hotel. They provided a vegan option for breakfast which was appreciated.
I thought the elderly gentleman and his family that ran the hotel together with his family was very generous and helpful in making my stay as comfortable as possible, I loved the history of the places and it was a pity I was only there for one week
This is a wonderful place to stay. An idyllic rural hideaway - confirmed by it being the locals' 'local'! Everyone made you feel that they wanted you to be there - and nothing was too much trouble. A true 'English pub' that you hope to visit.
We needed an overnight stop, it was just off the A1 and I didn't want to stay in one of the "chains" - The Gregory was cheaper and much better IMO, service was friendly food was great and in all just what was needed
Very well equipped, clean and tidy appartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay
Close to town centre but quiet aswell
Good communication with host
Cannot fault the place, well worth a visit
Great location. Good access to places around Grantham and the coast that is less than an hour away. Beautiful estate. Shower great. Staff very helpful and cordial. Well worth a stay.
Nice accommodation in a listed building in the centre of Grantham. Rooms were fine, with comfy beds. Nice bathroom.
The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
The family room was spacious and quiet despite hotel in middle of town. The beds were comfortable. The bartender in the cocktail bar had a good knowledge of cocktails.
Staff were pleasant and helpful The location to the town center was great! Could walk to everything, including the train station. Hotel was very quiet.
