It was nice and clean and just what we needed for a quick overnight stay. I was very pleased to have 2 single beds in our room for the children rather than a sofa bed as it made things easier for us as our children are 5 and 15 Sadly there was NO decaf coffee in our room, I can't drink non decaf as I suffer from migraines but I love my morning cup of coffee.

From the minute we arrived Christine on the front desk made us feel very welcome. She was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The room was basic enough but was clean, comfortable and served its need. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff serving breakfast couldnt do enough for you. Definitely the place to stay if you need to visit Greenock.

Very friendly reception Excellent dining facilities including lunch which I paid for immediately after the lunch, together with a well earned tip. Would definitely stay again if my main quibble* (as below) is kindly sorted out. My booking was to include breakfast. On arrival I asked if my room was waterfront (as recommended by previous guests). I was told it was not so I asked if there was any difference in price. I was informed 'they' were the same price. As long as there was no difference in price (important as I am a pensioner) I asked if my room no. could be changed. I was offered 41 (waterfront) and was assured that the price would be exactly as my booking. I was quite shocked and very disappointed to receive a further invoice today which charged me for two breakfasts. On the first day I told the breakfast room staff that my room rate included breakfast. It was disappointing that there was no means of communication between reception and room 4l. This caused unnecessary inconvenience for Danielle (who was extremely helpful) when she walked round to give info. re a 'phone call for me. Better info in the room re facilities inc. dining arrangements would have been helpful. I asked the time of breakfast and was told between 6.30 and 8.30 am, which I thought was very early but I arrived around 7.00 am. Having seen the huge board in the pub later that day however, giving a later time ( I think it read10.30 am) I decided to go down at around 8.30/9.00, the next day, which was more convenient for me. The breakfast was excellent but I was assured it was included and, therefore, I look forward to an immediate reimbursement. Thank you, Anita Birch.

The Point pub. The breakfast was great fresh and hot but tea and coffee were in thermos jugs and not hot enough for me, this was the only negative.

The receptionist was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, paying special attention to our young daughters. The room was clean and modern, with a fantastic view over the clyde. The restaurant and bar have a warm and welcoming atmosphere that would appeal to families or couples or any group of people really. Breakfast is outstanding! Basically, it was very good value for money, without looking it!

Having stayed at several other Premier Inns we like the predictability of the rooms and service and the availability of parking together with the convenience of connected restaurants which we have used for dinners and breakfasts. Creaking floor boards in passage ways in particular

We went on a cruise next day. The location was excellent for the Port of Greenock. Could we have left our car at the Premier Inn? Can't really think of anything

The waterside location of this otherwise standard Premier Inn was,for us,absolutely excellent as our room (Even Nos) was on the river side of the hotel, and afforded us beautiful views across to Helensburgh.

The food was excellent with very attentive and polite staff. lady on reception lovely. The bed in room 2 has seen better days and needs replacing. It sagged to the middle - no good for a couple, it was lumpy with springs you could distinctly feel through the mattress cover and sheet. A sleepless night was had! I realise it was a disabled room, we were able bodied and it was the only room available for the night - no problem. If a couple able and disabled were sharing, the lack of support to both would be a problem. I also think a disabled person would have difficulty with the mobility of getting in and out of the bed with the lack of support. I have stayed in Premier Inns before and they are usually very comfortable. We will stay again as hope this problem was a 'one off'
