The cleanliness of the whole site. the cleanest bathroom i have ever stayed in.
the bed was a little hard and the mattress edge broken and the bed moved whenever my partner moved/turned.
The location was ideal for us as we were going to 'Folk By The Oak' at Hatfield House. Helpful staff and handy restaurant next door. Car parking was free which was a real plus.
We had arranged an early check-in (2-3hrs), which was confirmed by Booking.com, who told us Premier Inn had agreed to it. This was important as we had made plans. On arrival we were told this was not the case and they would never agree to a guaranteed early check-in as the room might still be in use. Luckily the staff rushed getting a room ready for us, so we didn't have to wait too long.
You really cannot beat this for value. The rooms was spacious and clean and comfortable. The were incredibly helpful and friendly. Recommended.
The breakfast was very good in the airfield pub next door, the room size was good.
The only problem I had I wasn't too happy about the sleeping arrangements, I asked on booking for 3 single beds, 1 for my daughter, 1 for my 2 year old grandson, and 1 for me, when we arrived the receptionist had our booking as 2 adults therefore only a double bed was made up, we did ask for a travel cot because my daughter knew it wasn't safe for my grandson to sleep on a sofa bed which hadn't been made up, so it ended up all 3 of us in the double bed and our sleep was disturb 3 times in the night because my grandson fell out of bed!! fortunately no injuries was sustained.
Despite having booked a family room 6 weeks in advance and calling on the morning of our arrival to double check our booking and to confirm our arrival time we arrived to find our family room was unavailable. Instead we were given a double room with two extra single beds squashed in for the children. We were given no satisfactory explanation as to why our room was not available and despite asking no refund or compensation for taking an inferior room. All sqaushed in a small room no one slept well and it was definately not value for money but as the family was tired we felt we had no choice. It seems that even though we booked well in advance Premier Inn was just happy to take our money and give us whatever room they wanted. We will not be using Premier Inn again in any location.
We stayed 9 nights for a family reunion. The staff at the Inn and adjoining pub could not have more accommodating. The location was perfect. Walk to Mall and Hatfield town center. The train to London is a quick taxi ride away. Inn now has air conditioning in rooms.
Not a thing!!
Beds were too small. No air conditioning (didn't work)
Clean , good condition , spacious
Pull out / Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and very noisy/springy
Clean well designed bathroom. Pleased that the room was available to us all the time we were there. That there was no restriction on us eating our own food in the room. Very helpful reception staff.
1. Check in and check out was a breeze 2. The staff was courteous and well trained. They took the time to explain their good night sleep policy which was fantastic! 2. The room was very neat and tidy and surprisingly, very clean. Certain hotels do not bother to look at their remote controls and the back of their TVs, bed panels or lightings etc for dusts which will gather there. This hotel is really meticulous in their cleaning. Thank you, Premier Inn. For a person with an allergy, I'm most grateful. 3. I'm glad I couldn't secure a room at Beale's! Thank you.
Just opinions: nothing to dislike: Perhaps a phone should be installed in rooms
