Breakfast was mediocre - uninteresting. The tv in my room switched on spontaneously at 6.30 am, waking me up. Staff said an alarm must have been set, though not by me.

The level of customer service was dreadful. I tried 3 times to pay in advance for my room and was told erroneous and conflicting information each time. Apparent it is company policy to only accept payment in person without a faxed letter or authorisation for a c card! This is ridiculous and cleat not for the benefit of customers. It made my visit very difficult. And it is the 21st century surely they could review this system

We were there for the Huddersfield music festival, we were able to park the car and walk to the centre,didn't need the car all weekend lovely !!

We arrived after a long trip and the staff were not only understanding but very accomodating. Not just the usual I have to say customer service sayings but really understanding and practical to help going that extra mile that made it special. All of the staff including the cleaning staff were so very polite

Staff were friendly and helpful particularly John in reception. He helped me sort out boarding passes and was so patient. Food was lovely and good value.

It wasn't clear enough that breakfast ceased to be served at 10.30. Premier Inns don't have a lounge.

The hotel is near from the university of Huddersfield

We was in roon 306 and outside was a generator that came on and off all night. it drove us mad.

the room was modern warm and comfortable as was the bed, i very much liked the room, was very nice and very spacious

having to go through the keycard door at reception to get up to your room, hinders having a guest pay u a visit if you so wished

It is very close to the centre of town which meant that I did not have to use the car during my stay - I was in Huddersfield for the Contemporary Music Festival and I was able to walk easily to all the concert venues as well the restaurants in town. The staff in both the hotel and where the buffet breakfast was served were very friendly and very attentive. The buffet breakfast was very good as was the 'cooked to order' breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, easily heated during the cold spell I was there, and the bathroom had a very good shower with no shortage of hot water. All in all an excellent place to stay without having to pay the earth.

Location was superb and it was nice to have a view of the canal from my room. Staff consistently provided excellent customer service.

Although it looked nice, we didn't like the bridge over the canal from the car park to the hotel. Our party always got back to the hotel after dark and the lack of lighting meant we felt unsafe when crossing. Also, because the stairs had open risers (no backs) we were nervous that we might trip and drop phones, car keys and other valuables into the canal.

Didn't like being woken at 2am by fire alarm. Standing outside for 45mins to discover it was a false alarm. No compensation offered by management for iterupted night's sleep

No shampoo. Just very basic shower stuff and only one hand towel and one bath towel - not enough for two adults and a baby!

We came to Huddersfield to attend the Banjo music festival/workshop and chose the Premier Inn as being central to the venue. My partner is disabled and we found the staff to be very welcoming and coudn't do enough for us - even though no extra assistance was needed, right down to carrying a bag up to the room to save me coming down to reception twice. The on-site restaurant was friendly and efficient, our evening meal and breakfast were excellent, good value for money, the service better than many so-called "starred" restaurants. Permier Inn could teach them a thing or two about service!!

Can't fault the hotel - the only problem was that there are only 2/3? disabled parking spaces. We were able to park next to reception when we checked in at 5pm but on returning at midnight after the evening session at our event, we could not find anywhere to park - it was jammed full. We eventually had to leave the car in the Drop Off zone. However, the reception staff did reassure us that this was OK having left the parking ticket and blue badge on display. Fortunately my partner is able to walk slowly with a walking stick for short distances. We had his mobility scooter in the car to enable him to get round the exhibition but unfortunately there was no room for the folding wheelchair which meant the we genuinely needed to be as close as possible to reception. This was not detrimental to our stay - just perhaps a long winded was of suggesting that more disabled parking spaces are created and allotted to overnight guests on booking or check-in, with priority given to those who have booked a disabled access room - I personally would be happy to pay a cover charge for this.

The friendliness of the staff, everyone was ready and willing to try and help. Also the hotel is very well placed for visiting my family and walking into the town centre.

I booked for 4 nights and actually stayed for 1. The reason for this is that I felt somewhat tricked by the website advertising 'Free Internet' in large letters at the top of the page. And then finding out just before I was due to fly that it was, in fact, only free for 30 minutes and then $3 per day each for my wife and I who both needed internet/wifi connections. This, I'm afraid, is the sole reason we checked out after only 1 night. We both felt misled by the advertising even though it did say, in somewhat smaller letters at the bottom of the web page that it was only free for 30 minutes. I suppose we are spoilt in the US as it seems every hotel has FREE wifi!! I cannot understand why company's feel the need to charge for this service.
