Conveniently located in central Hull, the Gilson Hotel features free Wi-Fi, a 24/7 bar, and limited free parking. Hull Train Station is across from the property.
Score from 816 reviews Good
Overlooking Hull Marina, this Holiday Inn is just a 5-minute walk from Hull’s bustling center and The Deep aquarium. It offers spacious rooms, an indoor swimming pool, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 236 reviews Very good
The Holiday Inn Express is in the center of Hull, next to the train station and directly linked to St Stephens shopping center. It has well-equipped modern accommodations and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 497 reviews Very good
Just over a quarter mile from the very heart of Hull, the train station and the new St. Stephen's shopping center, this modern hotel includes climate-controlled, ventilation-cooled rooms.
Score from 523 reviews Good
The hotel was well located and the staff friendly. Food was as you'd expect in a premier inn. Staff were very friendly.
The lift system if you go into the internal garage. It indicates the lifts are for staff only. That means you have to walk up 7 flights of stairs. In general the lift system is poor as you spend time waiting for them especially if you are on the top floor. This is not uncommon in premier inns as Leicester square is even worse
Staff attitude in morning
Getting no sleep due to electric machinery outside the room. Poor signage in car park resulted in having to walk up 7 flights to reception. Given an easy-access room without consultation. Having to pay for WIFI. Not getting complete refund and still having to pay for breakfast and wifi despite no sleep!!
Counter Staff SUPREB!!
Not A Lot!
Excellent location, good food, quiet but convenient for the city centre. Free parking is a real bonus.
Expected free Wi-fi which seems to be standard now in most hotels
Location is excellent, safe and convenient car park. Good security at hotel. First rate staff. The ambiance of the bar and the restaurant. Good value for money. Superb breakfast.
I liked everything about my stay and will gladly return.
Nice location Good food Comfy rooms
A particular staff on duty over night was really helpful. My child needed emergency medical attention and he called 999 for me and stayed with me on the phone till the ambulance service arrived. He also sought to find out how the child was doing in the early hours of the morning when we returned from the hospital.
Staff were very helpful, assisting. Hotel was very clean, in a good location.
We hav'nt visited Hull socially for many years - the position of the hotel is a ten minute lovely walk into town - cobbled streets & good pubs. Staff at hotel was very welcoming, friendly & helpful. The regeneration of the city is brilliant & the city of Hull & its people were a great & pleasant surprise. We will definately visit again.
Everything. From the greeting at reception. An early arrival was treated with a welcome chat and coffee and room ready in no time. Staff very friendly. Very comfortable. Good grub too.
Central to City Very quiet rooms Food very good value for money with excellent waitress
Double Glazing could be better at keeping out traffic noise. Not a major problem though
Booked this hotel to attend a sporting event nearby. From the very minute we arrived I was really impressed with the attitude of the staff. Very upbeat , friendly and proffessional without exception. Lovely spacious family room , spotlessly clean and we took advantage of the meal deal which worked out great value for money for our evening meal. Chose the hotel mainly due to location and wasn't really expecting much , was pleasantly surprised and will definitely stay with premier inns again.
Appreciate that many workers stay here but seeing them in the restaurant in dirty flouresant jackets and work boots was a bit off putting when eating a meal.
Staff Restaurant Location
No free wifi
Quiet corridors, view over estuary, helpful staff, large room, bath
Hideous lighting in room - cold, dark, unwelcoming. Desperately needs mood lighting in rooms. Would like to have been able to open window, even a tad!
Centrally located, clean and the staff were very good. Great value for money.
Friendly and helpfull staff, happy hour at the bar!
Poor Internet connection
1.True to your advert a very comfortable bed. 2. Central location for a historical & Heritage learning w/e, museums and easy walking along heritage streets and quays. 3. Wonderful view from the 9th floor of the Humber and it's famous bridge. 4. Competitive meal deal for dinner & breakfast 5. Very efficient, smart and friendly staff. 6. 300m. from 'The Deep'
Staff very helpfull
continental breakfast poor no cold meats no cheeses
Friendly staff. Fantastic food. Lovely room.
the dodgy car park under the flyover. Did not realise could park in multi storey
staff very helpful. rooms clean and comfortable.veiws are lovely over the river up to the humber bridge.i don't like lifts but no problem with the stairs, they are better than other hotels.
shower curtains as they can be a bit fusty as they often dry closed up. screens are better or fresh curtains each room chage.
Price, comfortable, nice bar
Breakfast was a bit pricy
The room was good and the food was really good!
I didn't like the location or the car park being separate.
Kind staff. Comfortable bed. Clean environment.
I do not like air-conditioning, I prefer when I can open the window. The temperature was too low. I could not find BBC News on TV.
Competitively priced The room was well equipped, in good order and spotlessly clean Comfy bed The staff were attentive and very friendly Great food Good value Meal Deal Only a short walk from the old town
The appearance of the building from the outside, being above a multi-story car park
