Large quiet clean room.
The attached Brewers Fayre restaurant was poor. Not enough staff. Had to wait an hour for our meal. They did refund our bill though. Room could do with a fridge.
Bed and the front desk staff.
Cleaners not too friendly
Constant road noise
One of the main draw backs with the location is the traffic noise but staying at the services off of the a1 what can you expect.
The location was ideal, the hotel was excellent and the bed was the best we have ever slept in, just great.
We missed the bar because we arrived late
Staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Room very clean and warm. Good bathroom with a powerful shower and lots of hot water. Bed very comfortable, slept very well. Really good value for money.
No dislikes at all.
Quiet room, next door to pub for dinner and breackfast.
Room got hot and stuffy despite turning down the thermostat the temperature in the room went up.
Cleandliness and comfortable bed.
Very poorly signposted from junction
Hotel was comfortable, clean and very quite. Breakfast at adjacent restaurant excellent.
Difficult to find at night for the first time. Extra signs guiding one off the busy traffic island would help, as would clear driver's directions on the booking confirmation.
Room was boiling, air conditioning unit didn't appear to work as room temp remained 24.5 despite setting it at 16. Put fan on but noisy for sleeping and now have cough/cold. Kids bed very uncomfortable and had to request extra duvets to put on it for second night. Was glad to get home and get a good nights sleep. We were however refunded for the first night.
Comfort of bed Large en suite Quiet room Cleanliness Ability to open a window! Extra pillows and T bags available
Free wi fi only 30 mins (why not unlimited?) and instructions in room said you could log in and out which was not the case. Room too hot and, despite instructions saying you could adjust, this wasn't possible. Reception not always manned and no one appeared when buzzer pressed. A pity about the above as, overall, a pleasant experience.
Noisy at night with the floor boards
comfortable and clean
heating, fair to warm at night
The double bed was really comfortable
The single extra bed was so uncomfortable my daughter really had a bad sleep
Shower and mattress,location
room too small and too hot also impolite staff
Close to Godmanchester where we were working. Honest price for a comfortable room for a couple of nights with an adjacent restaurant.
Continental breakfast was like preparing it yourself at home. A lot of running around for very little plus very slow toast machine resulted in a long queue that I couldn't be bothered to wait for even though I wanted toast.
Some of the staff were off-hand, but others were excellent.
We were given a room for disabled people. Found the bed and basin very low.
Very convenient Quiet Friendly staff food store nearby
The on-site food venue. If you like carbs and carbs its fine, but barely a vegetable in sight.
Quiet despite being close to A1 and A14, comfy bed, staff very pleasant, clean and practical accommodation
The limited range of healthy food in the Brewer's Fayre restaurant - would have preferred more veg, less stodge!!
Ideal for access to a1
Room too hot at night ,not able to open window enough.
Convenient location with ample parking.
Rooms were too hot, 23.5deg C so had too keep window open and then too much noise from traffic, very uncomfortable night. Drop room temperature by 4 deg C and save a fortune in heating costs.
Friendly and helpful staff
We didn't like the shower which cannot put down for using. it can be just pouring on the head.
