As we were attending a local cycling event at the huntingdon racecourse the location of this premier inn was perfect. Food at the brewers fayre was good too although over the whole weekend our orders came out wrong 3 times. The room was clean and well presented when we arrived. And we had plenty of room as we booked a family room. The staff were polite also.
Our room was not serviced on our second day, having done a long bikeride we wanted to have a hot bath (thankfully we booked a family room so had some spare towels.) Our main problem was that the room was (in our opinion) baking even with the window open. I can't sleep If I'm too hot. We don't have our heating on at home during the night, normally you can control the temperature of hotel rooms but the customer desk informed us that the whole hotel is on a thermostat and one room can't be changed as even if you turn the temp down on the controls in the room, it will reset within a few hours before it can cool. I'm also not a fan of the new pillow topped bed, too soft for me.
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Lovely staff. Breakfast great value with free kids' meals.
The lack of a microwave in the entire hotel
Only here for 1 night, but really liked it, rooms really clean, bedding seemed brand new. no problems with key card, even worked up until 11.50am on day of checkout. Shop and McDonalds just across the road. Cannot comment on the restaurant next door as did not have breakfast.
Having the pay for wifi. in this day and age of technology it should be free as with 90 percent of any hotel or b&b.
Premier Inns have become our family's first choice when traveling in the UK. Decent sized, comfortable rooms at a price that makes them excellent value plus the best breakfasts that we've found anyplace.
Does What It says on The Tin....
Room size, comfort of bed
Having to go outside to restaurant. only two tea bags, only one key for door. Not big issues as you get what you pay for nothing more nothing less.
We booked a disabled room because my wife has slight disability. The only criticism we could make of the facilities was that the toilet paper dispenser was placed behind the person who was on the seat making it imperative to get paper before sitting down. This is not always possible particularly if one is slightly incapacitated.
Good location for Huntingdon/Brampton area. Clean and comfortable. Adjacent highway services (BP, M&S, McDonalds).
We arrived on Christmas Day and were greeted by a very happy male receptionist (seeing as he was working on Christmas Day). We stayed for 2 nights and both the male receptionists were very helpful and happy. This hotel is very clean, the beds are lovely and we were offered free wifi, which is always a bonus. We were visiting relatives in St Ives and this hotel was just perfect for us and extremely good value for money.

quiet room,good sleep,clean room,very good breakfast,very good reception
Location. All 4 rooms on the ground floor very close to each other. Quiet.
Took ages to check in. I know it was late, but had to check in and pay for each room individually which took about half an hour. We had an 87 year old and another person with a broken leg and on crutches who had to stand during this time. Overcharged us by £10. Said we were not booked in for breakfast but luckily we could show email on our phone to confirm this. On arrival at breakfast no table available for 7. Restaurant staff tried to tell us we were not booked in but later found our reservation.
The room was very comfortable and clean. As returned late each night, was pleased to see a well lit car-park and a night receptionist. On Christmas morning, carrying lots of presents for family, was helped by a very pleasant young man member of staff, who carried everything to my car for me. Very grateful, thank you.
On arrival paid in cash. Receptionist asked for ID, i.e.Passport or Driving Licence. I didn't have either and she was very reluctant to let me stay as people who pay in cash wreck the rooms & smoke in the rooms and they cannot claim damages from them via the method of payment. Felt extremely embarrassed and insulted as this was dealt with in front of other visitors waiting in reception . Only resolved when my young granddaughter produced her College ID. Allowed to stay then. Had no idea there would be a fuss when paying in the currency of my country! If I had known I would certainly have had my driving licence with me. I was shown a notice on the wall but was not pre-warned of this by Booking.com or the Premier Inn. At age 71, a non-smoker, I felt so small and wished the ground would swallow me up!! Not a good start to Christmas.
hotel in general very good
we had a room with a noisy bath room fan kept waking us up
Everything, this is our third stay, the staff are great, the rooms a good size the comfort of the bed amazing. I asked for extra pillows/towels/tea ect all handed to me with no issues. Peckish after hours? Well Mac-D just round the corner. Will return very soon..
Nothing but if I could get a room a little cheaper & as this is within 30 miles of our home & a nice little getaway then that would be the iceing on the cake.
Large quiet clean room.
The attached Brewers Fayre restaurant was poor. Not enough staff. Had to wait an hour for our meal. They did refund our bill though. Room could do with a fridge.
Bed and the front desk staff.
Cleaners not too friendly
Constant road noise
One of the main draw backs with the location is the traffic noise but staying at the services off of the a1 what can you expect.
The location was ideal, the hotel was excellent and the bed was the best we have ever slept in, just great.
We missed the bar because we arrived late
Staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Room very clean and warm. Good bathroom with a powerful shower and lots of hot water. Bed very comfortable, slept very well. Really good value for money.
No dislikes at all.
Quiet room, next door to pub for dinner and breackfast.
Room got hot and stuffy despite turning down the thermostat the temperature in the room went up.
Cleandliness and comfortable bed.
Very poorly signposted from junction
Hotel was comfortable, clean and very quite. Breakfast at adjacent restaurant excellent.
Difficult to find at night for the first time. Extra signs guiding one off the busy traffic island would help, as would clear driver's directions on the booking confirmation.
