Premier Inn Huntingdon (A1/A14)  

Large well equipped room. Excellent Brewers Fayre next door.

Reception a bit small and pokey. Doesn't reflect the quality of the rooms.

The food in the Harvester next door was not good. Very disappointing for dinner & breakfast.

When we closed the window the smell of cigarette smoke became quite evident. My husband suffers from emphysema so this was a problem. He went to reception and asked for some kind of neutralising spray but was told by the lady there that no-one could have smoked in the room or an alarm would have sounded. We were offered a move, but as we had unpacked etc., decided to open the window again and hope for the best. In the early hours we had to shut it again because of the traffic noise. It transpired when we left that the man then on reception did know that someone had smoked in that room, which was apparently why the window was open when we arrived. So why did the lady deny it the night before?

Room was very clean and comfortable and reception staff were friendly.

Room was quite cold despite the thermostat being up full. The service in the brewers fayre was unbelievable slow and the food was pretty poor.

The overall package was brilliant. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and up to date. Great big bed. Great value for money.

Breakfast not included in the price. It seemed expensive. Having said that, it was worth every penny.

I could hear lorries arriving and leaving throughout the night and they kept waking me up.

Standard of clenliness

No choice of room. There may have been quieter rooms at the end of corridors possibly overlooking fields?

Great customer service. The breakfast in the nearby pub was lovely.

Basic facilities well thought through, especially plugs in the right place. Good pillows. Good and friendly front desk staff. Plenty of hanging space for clothes. Very easy to book in, good parking. Front of house Restaurant Manager very good.

1. Signage could be better; arrived abt 11 pm and initially took wrong turning. 2. None of the Breakfast china had been washed properly in the dishwasher. Either too much is put in, or dishwasher needs a good clean.

Staff very good both at the Premier Inn and at adjoining Brewers Fair when we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Excellent price for convenient stop over in that location.

Awkward location at very tricky junction off the A1.

no personality. would stay for business accomodation only, not pleasure.

Convent to see family at Godmanchester.

Beds were too hard.

The room was very tidy, it also was of a very good quality in terms of the bed, television and the bathroom

Very good room, lovely friendly staff, extra pleasant beefeater adjacent. Will stay again.

There was only one problem with the Premier Inn which was that the plug was faulty in the sink in the bathroom which was stuck in the hole. As we arrived late at night we decided not to report it and muddled through with it without great difficulty. Other than than everything else was very good.

Good modern TV, comfortable bed, excellent because near a Brewers Fayre

I knew the location was near the Main A14 which was busy but I expected better sound proofed windows. My first room (67) had a broken window catch and the window seals had aged/ perished. The first night I was so tired I slept ok but the second night I experience a very poor night sleep because of the excessive road noise. In the morning I requested a room change, the second room was much better and seemed to have better windows. My recommendation is the windows are replaced as the current ones are showing their age and do not supress the road noise sufficiently. I like Huntingdon but the windows need updating before I would recommend to a friend.

Location and Service

Usual standard one would expect from this chain, the receptionist was particularly friendly and helpful.

Although not directly related to the Premier Inn and its facilities, our main reason for staying was for the excellent dining experience we enjoyed at the adjacent TableTable restaurant 2 years earlier. But unfortunately, we were most disappointed to find that things have changed for the worse. The steak & kidney pudding and steak & ale pie were filled with the most disgusting mess I have ever encountered. The staff were great as usual and a refund was offered. I would suggest that the restaurant locate a supplier of better quality pies, or remove them from the menu. Will not be staying again.

The room was very cold when we arrived and the heating stopped durring the night it was a cold experience No dirrection given in the morning about breakfast, we had to wait for other guest to show the way

Pillows were in substantial. Suggest are firmer. Also shower could be more powerful.

the guy who booked us in was very helpful on check in/out and sorting out taxi's in between.

the facility had a restaurant and bar attached, good Sunday lunch and drinks available
