The locality, it was quiet, even though next to a Toby carvery.
the musty smell when first entering the rooms
Location was good as it was close to family.
Breakfast had to be taken in the next door Toby restaurant which was inconvenient and not exactly what was offered. The corridor smelt damp and the room was worse and overpowering. Had to sleep with the window open in December due to the pungent, damp smell.
The carvery was great and very tasty. Very welcoming staff.
Duvet too heavy. Also mould in grouting around bath.
Bed En suite Next door to Toby Carvery Vending Machine Stocked Toothbrush
Staff could have been friendlier
Had to be moved due to noise above
10 min drive fr Harry Potter Studios. Big room that could sleep 2 adults on queen bed and 2 teenagers on single foldable beds. Quiet though facing car park. Friendly front desk with refund policy if dissatisfied with stay.
Establishment was a little old and run down.
Near Warner Bros studios; breakfast next door at Toby Inn very convenient; bed very comfortable; changes to original booking made; plenty of parking.
Receptionist rather curt; price not as expected
Great Premier Inn, in lovely location and ideally situated for Harry Potter Studio tour. Staff were, without exception, extremely pleasant, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to friends visiting Harry Potter Studios and would use again.
The only downside for us - which was an issue was that we booked to stay over the new year period. On arrival on 30th December we booked a table in the Toby Carvery for the evening of 30th and the evening of the 31st. Our meal on 30th was fantastic. However, on arrival at the restaurant on 31st December, we were informed that it was closed notwithstanding that we had booked a table. A serious communication error by the staff!! The receptionist at the Premier Inn could not have been more helpful. She produced takeaway menus and 'phoned through for a takeaway pizza for us which was delivered - thereby saving our evening - but not quite the way we had wished to spend New Year's Eve.
Perfect location for Warner bros studios tour. Lovely carvery next door in Toby's although breakfast wasn't as reasonable as was implied - family room was fine and our 2 night stay was comfortable. Would def stay here again.
Misleading breakfast information. Implies an eat as much as you like breakfast for £3.99 per head but once drinks were added it cost £24 for 4 of us. Felt a bit cheated by this as we had experienced the £8 premier breakfasts in the past elsewhere and the children ate free - a much better great value system.
Room generally very well presented. Comfortable bed as usual with this chain.
There is no lift. Booked a disabled room but bathroom not suitable. Shower over bath but no seat, just lots of grab rails....a walk-in shower would be a better bet. Dreadful high pitched whine from extractor fan I cannot be the only person who uses their phone/tablet as an alarm clock, but no power point for charging it anywhere near the bed. This is also true of the other 3 Premier Inns I have used in the last 3 months. It's totally impractical to have to plug a phone in on the other side of the room, particularly if one is less mobile!
We stayed here before going to the Harry Potter tour nearby. The whole place is spotless and the nearby village is charming. We had an exceptional meal at the Rose and Crown. a great breakfast at the village coffee shop and even picked up lunch at the sandwich shop.
the bed!!! Clean sheets, comfy pillows, helpful and informative staff.
Fantastic location to visit wb studio tour, friendly helpful staff, great value for money, very comfortable beds and clean, Thankyou!
Having to pay for wifi
Good size room; nice and clean; enormous bed which was surprisingly comfortable.
You have to pay for Wi-Fi. On-site carvery is closed.
Very courteous reception staff, clean & comfortable room
Restaurant being refurbished so no cooked breakfast (only a temporary issue)
Very comfy. Great stay. Nice facilities provided. Clean linen. Wide range of tv channels
Would have been better if more free wifi is provided. But can't complain more with provided tv!
Comfortable bed, good location
A family room was not set up on arrival, but the staff were very quick to sort it out for us.
as we arrived they had a problem with the system so we were waiting there holding all of our heavy bags for ages because of the computer, during the night we played music quite low but we still got told to turn it down, so dont even think about playing music!! bedroom was old fashioned, it was cold and there was a hair on my pillow which was disgusting. Manager was so rude it was unbelievable! We booked this hotel as it was near to watford but a taxi from this hotel to the centre was 20 pounds! There is only one shop about a 3 minute drive away which was rubbish. Overall did NOT enjoy staying here and would not reccomend it at all, especially if you are young they seem to hate you as soon as you walk through the door!
Location, comfort and value for money.
Breakfast was only just passable. Parking was hard to find. Also booking .com did not have street address...not Premier Inn problem
The staff were very welcoming and always on hand to help. The rooms were clean and tidy.
There was nothing to really dislike about the hotel, can not make a comment on the restaurant next door as it was closed for refurbishment.
The receptionist (Cat) was very helpful and polite. The breakfast we had in the premier inn in Hemel Hempstead was very nice. We had to travel to this one and also had to pay for it. Our morning schedule was put out of sync due to having to go somewhere else for breakfast.
We had paid for breakfast and upon arrival, we were told that the restaurant was not available and there was a boxed continental breakfast in place of it. We found the boxed replacement no where near sufficient for our purposes. We chose this location as our daughter was representing her county in a football game near by and we wanted her to have a good breakfast to set her up for he game. As it happened, the boxed meal was not good enough. It was also her birthday so she was looking forward to a nice breakfast! The main bed was also too hard for us and we both woke up with a bad back.
There is always only one hand towel, but when asked for, was given another one. Paying £1.50 for a small bottle of water from the machine in reception!!!!!
The staff were friendly and obliging, the room size was good. Bus stop outside hotel entrance. Rail Station one mile with plenty of parking space (pay and display). Village set in semi rural location.
Don't have a room with an adjoining door (unless your a family). You can hear, and will be heard, in normal conversation let alone anything else! Currently the meal situation may alter. The adjacent pub's ownership is changing and it is possible that only Continental breakfasts will be available when the changeover is complete. Ask before booking
