Dating back to 1860, The Dog in Over Peover is in the heart of the quaint village. This typical village inn offers a restaurant and a pub serving real local and national ales.

Room was great shower everything except bed
I liked everything about this Hotel
Close to Mere Golf Club (1.8 miles approx) which we were attending re wedding. Clean and good value.Room was large as was the bed and bathroom.
Only 2 sachets of coffee. Room basic could have done with some more pictures / wall art .
location near motorway had great welcome to hotel arrived after 1am quick check-in and had help with luggage to first floor could see we were tired exceeded our check out time got gently enquiry as to departure time was not rude.
came in Saturday evening were tired was not aware we had to make dinner orders at the bar its a bit off putting selecting food while standing felt like fast food check-out as a result cut dinner short no shops nearby
Excellent location. If travelling from the south for a visit to Manchester a stop here is ideal. Metro with parking only five minutes away. Very friendly staff, first class food in the restaurant and spotless rooms. Good nights rest assured.
Nothing, could not fault.
Lovely reception staff , very welcoming ....after a long journey stuck in traffic for hours the very sympathetic receptionist really helped us feel better !
We would use again but not eat in the restaurant next door - the food was very unpleasant , tasted cheap and very manufactured . We ordered fish and chips , the fish was grey , undercooked and straight out of a freezer , not fresh as stated . A real let down . My son said his cooked breakfast was fine though .
ideal for our purpose which was to attend an evening wedding reception locally. Good location, clean and comfortable room with friendly staff. All we required for a one night stay.
No silly notices and rules like you get in do many private small b&bs. I like the non nosey and flexible service. Last day cancellaction is great. I could change plans the day before without a charge.
Aubergine every where. Worried that the key fitted external door as well as the room.
Room generous size and reasonably well appointed.
Noise from the road constant and noise from bathroom extractor fan excessive. Both problems could have been minimised by better maintenance.
Staff very friendly and keen to help
Ideal base for an early flight from Manchester airport.
Room was clean tidy staff was excellent and great food
Problem solved very easily in the morning.Much appreciate your no quibble guarantee.Thank you.
Constant noise of what seemed to be either air-conditioning or extractor fans.
A clean large room with good facilities. Very helpful reception staff who greeted you in a sincere manner.
The location, whilst ideal for Tatton Park the room faced a main road. Constant traffic throughout the night meant sleep was interuppted.
The location is ideal for touring the area, and ease of getting into Manchester. At the same time situated in a very pleasant country environment.
Unfortunately, being situated on a busy junction with the A556 main route into Manchester, the traffic noise at peak periods was not conducive to a good nights sleep. Rooms would benefit from air con to enable windows to be closed.
Location was brill for our charity walk at Tatton Park. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and tidy Shower bath brilliant Food next door was good when it arrived Waitress made us fresh toast
Bathroom taps were very forceful to sink basin Waited quite a while for our paid for breakfast in Brewers Fayre next door
Location and private entrance and parking. Excellent receptionist and good breakfast
Room a bit jaded cobwebs and spiders
Warm greeting from Reception staff and also when departing.
to expensive for what it is. Restaurant good service but poor quality mixed grill with tough fatty steak portion.
Staff, helpful attitude; good food, well-kept beer.
Worn-out furnishings, narrow stairways to first-floor rooms, endless traffic noise right through the night. Sleep was a scare commodity the night we stayed - too hot to close the window.
Small rooms old style hotel
Good shower was powerful and warm with good temp range.
Smell of room Felt dated Mould on walls in bathroom Bathroom fan screamed like a Scottish midgie on speed No staff in morning when went for breakfast so left
Room no 111 LARGE patch on sealing Dining room under staffed.
Comfy bed. Easy check in and out.
Room quite dark.
Typical Premier Inn-clean and comfortable room. The service and food in the Swan Brewers Fayre was excellant. Friendly staff make all the difference!
Price and heavy road and aircraft noise.
