Overlooking Lancaster Canal, the central Penny Street Bridge is a classic, elegant hotel just feet from shops and restaurants. It has free Wi-Fi access, a stylish bar and a relaxed restaurant.
Score from 224 reviews Excellent
On the banks of the Lune River, the Holiday Inn Lancaster features an indoor swimming pool and sauna. Just off Junction 34 of the M6 highway, the center of Lancaster is a 30-minute riverside walk...
Score from 496 reviews Very good
Right alongside the River Lune in central Lancaster, this traditional pub serves real ales and hearty full English breakfast.

Lenny Henry says that they all have Kingsize Beds..... My room only had a double bed
Easy booking and check-in, clean and comfy room, close to Brewers Fayre for meals.
Loo did not flush too well.
Relaxing atmosphere and staff very helpful.
Room set up for 1person ie 1 bath and hand towel ,minimal teabags and milk.Hairs in bath plug hole.
The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.A
nothing--we have stayed in better travel lodges
window did not open+the brewers fayre was awful--not even coffee!
The short distance from parking to reception to room to breakfast area. Staff gave us a take out menu and tasty pizza deliered efficiently after 11.30pm. BREAKFAST The reception staff listened to my concern about car full of santa presents etc and told me where to park car so he could keep an eye.. meaning i slept knowing the cctv & him were keeping it safe..
Hard to find where entrace to premier inn was before or after the building ie which turning to take..
Facilities good. Food in the adjoining brewers fayre was very good.
Comfort of the bed was very poor. It was like sleeping on a plank.
Pleasant and helpful reception staff, cleanliness of the room
No Hot chocolate or biscuits in the room, only one sachet of coffee
Service in restaurant was a little slow
The convenient location, being near the M6 and also handy for the city of Lancaster. Good food at next door Brewer's Fayre.
Premier Inn no longer offers a telephone in the room. Staff told me they had all been removed. I think this might make guests feel less safe as the hotel relies on the use of mobile phones for any problem. Late at night someone tried twice to get into our room and it was then I realised that it would not be easy to call for help if needed.
Chose the Premier Inn, based on price and location. It's just a couple of minutes from the motorway and great value. Basic, but very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff were great (they seem to be at every Premier Inn we use)
Nothing - you know what to expect and they deliver.
Location just off M6.
Veggie options in restaurant very poor. Food was not very tasty. Service a little souless.
rooms were clean bathroom nice
very basic only one hard chair in room no nice comforts
Room was nice and what to expect for the price. Pillows and duvet were lovely
Matrass was so hard and uncomfortable we had back and shoulderpain :( could not sleep
It was a convenient location with parking. The staff was friendly and helpful and they booked the table for us for a meal. Check-in and check-out were both swift
The bed was a bit broken, which only transpired in the middle of the night - hopefully fixed by now. Internet can only connect 2 devices for £3, it would be helpful if this was extended when family has more than 2 members.
Ease of booking Friendliness of the staff Comfort and facilities of the room Good food wine and beer
Could not fault the Lancaster Premier Inn
Well placed for the M6 and within easy reach of the ferry service from Heysham to the Isle of Man. Good breakfast at restaurant adjacent to hotel. Friendly and professional welcome at reception desk. Easy parking next to hotel.
Met my expectations - no complaints.
Quite, good beds, nice breakfast
Paying for wi fi is archaic and not acceptable
Bed excellent, breakfast excellent, staff excellent. Nothing more to say really
Perfect location just off motorway.
Breakfast cooking could be improved.
good clean efficient perfectly fine for an overnight stay
Location is on the city outskirts, however it is only a short taxi ride into the centre.
Unable to book a table in adjoining pub and then told nothing was available for over an hour. Booked a twin room and was given a famility room with sofa bed. Sofa bed had broken caistors and leaned over, so was uncomfortable. Complained to reception in morning, however no apology received.
the room was a good size, very clean it had everything needed so no complaints.
when eating at the restaurant, we waited 70 minutes between our starters and main course, there had been a mix -up somewhere but if i hadnt approached staff i dont know how long we would have been waiting!!
Two adults and three children! There is problem, However this hotel lived up to the challenge and we all stayed in comfort.
Pay for Wi-Fi
As usual with Premier Inns, the quality of the room was very good and the staff friendly and helpful.
We were a little disappointed with the Chef & Brewer. 45 minutes is a long time to wait for fish and chips! It was a Friday evening so they should expect to be busy and be staffed to cope with it. Also, the breakfast period was rather chaotic, constantly running out of cups and plates etc. The food quality was good but the organisation not first class.
