Susan & Ted really looked after us, including buying the particular muesli I like. Very comfortable bed. Everything spotlessly clean. Small but functional, quiet room. 10 minutes level walk from the railway station. Wetherspoons & supermarkets 5 minutes walk away. Mykabs £6.00 to the station.

Location was fantastic! Only an 8 minute drive to liskeard itself which was super convenient for us during our stay.
The hot tub was absolutely luxury when up to temperature.
The location was super peaceful, tranquil and quiet.
Major bonus was having llama's in the field right next to the caravan, they made our morning waking up to them. This was definitely a highlight for us!
The host was very communicative when we needed to ask questions during our stay.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners...
We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive of site Have stayed at this site many times and have found egress from the site can be risky. We leave the site by turning left, do a U turn at next junction on right, then join traffic with good site in wing mirror. We eat at several different outlets. It is a central location which makes it a good base to...
It is a central location which makes it a good base to explore from. We didn't actually visit the town but drove to the Eden Project, Tintagel, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polperro, St Austell etc. The local roads are narrow and winding, it takes ages to get anywhere, and you have to reverse a lot back to passing places on single track roads! We are vegetarian and found it easy to find really good places to eat. I recommend visiting Olive and Co at Sibleyback lake.

The hotel is 5 miles from Liskeard, which we did not visit other than to drive through! There is at least one petrol station which we did use. The town itself is quite a depressed area and so not particularly touristy, but it is easy travelling distance from some amazing countryside and this makes a good stopover to/from places further west.

It’s family owned and run and the owner was frequently available in the bar most evenings and a great source of local knowledge. The scrumptious homemade scones on arrival were a lovely touch and much appreciated. Gemma and Andy were perfect host, very polite and friendly and always on hand if needed. We have so much more of Cornwall to explore and will definitely use Lower Trengale cottage as our base again.

It's right opposite the railway station, so an ideal stay without a car. There are beautiful views down the valley at the back. The rooms are fresh, clean, and very well appointed. The evening meals are superb, delicious, and very popular with locals and visitors. The breakfast was wonderful. It was a joy to stay. Thank you.
