The value for room and breakfast and the comfort fact too Only one little niggle I would have liked a hand rail to get in and out of the shower. But other than that no complaints

I actually wanted premier inn ormskirk road but, unfortunately it was fully booked for the grand national, however, Liverpool north was very accommodating as I am disabled and hadn't requested a disabled room, when I arrived the staff found me something very suitable and they did it without fuss.

Convenient for the racecourse; decent sized rooms Not much to do in the area, Beefeater next door is OK for an evening. Some traffic noise and some noisy guetsts too. Poor VFM.

The location of the hotel to where we were going at the weekend, Aintree race course, the hotel was ideally situated and getting a taxi to this destination was also easy. The staff were very helpful specially Ruth the waitress in the restaurant. Also the bar staff and the reception staff. Not a very varied menu, a Harvester type menu would have been better, although the breakfast menu (self-service) was good, but could have been hotter.

We were able to check in earlier than we was supposed to. We were given a disabled access room which was not a problem but the bed was very low felt as if we were sleeping on the floor, some of the bathroom tiles had black fungus on them?

Polite and welcoming reception and housekeeping staff Dirty toilet seat and floor, lack of sufficient towels for two people The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in Rude waitress at breakfast who aggressively demanded if we had come in to use the toilets in front of other seated guests. She then complained when we asked to sit with friends, moaning that the table was not set from the previous customers. Cutlery was dirty. Nor did she inform us of where and how to serve ourselves breakfast. Cooked breakfast - cold plates and nowhere to place bain-marie covers whilst serving self.

Nice level of standards relating to decor and bedding and bathroom etc. The staff are eager to please and friendly. The adjoining pub was warm and welcoming. Our room on arrival was freezing and didn't warm up for the 2 hours we were in it prior to our evening out. In fact we had to get under the bedclothes to keep warm. We mentioned it to the reception staff however on our way out and when we came in after midnight, it had warmed up a treat.

Easy to find. Convenient location but ...(**) Comfortable bed Good security Helpful staff Price - £58 for a double room for 1 night with no breakfast. Location, convenient but local facilities poor. Tied to 1 pub/restaurant only, which closes at normal hours. Hotel guests cannot have late drinks, or take to rooms. No 'smoking' rooms'. Location, convenient for the purpose we were staying but Switch Island traffic is a major problem. Unable to choose room on website, which resulted in the longest walk to the room/ front door. Insuffiucient tea/coffee/milk in rooms. No cafe facilities locally.
