Price of room as the couple we travelled with paid £39 as opposed to the £75 we were charged. We even booked earlier than they did.

Breakfast was good & staff friendly

During our stat at the premier inn we were awoken at around 3.30am with loud shouting & swearing outside our room which was coming from a group of males trying to get someone out of the room near us. They were shouting very aggressively. This dampened the stay.

The staff were very helpful.

The people in the room next door were smoking a lot.the smell was terrible.i didn't complain,because I was only with my daughter,and would have felt vulnerable.

Attention to breakfast not so good as previous visits - eg inedible fatty soggy hash browns

Easy to check in - clean and comfortable and ideally located for the function we were attending.

The room was cold and took quite a while to warm up so I didn't get a great nights sleep.

Couldn't pay with cash on arrival (needed a passport or driving licence) Had a noisy room next to reception, noise coming from reception but rectified and moved to another room.

As a business traveller I found the bathroom contents sparce for the price paid (£82) and for a double is at the top end and I expected more for my money .unfortunatley I didn't sleep well at all due to the noise from above and to the side of me .not what I would call a refreshing stay .to summerise the room was overpriced.

no lift service. breakfast dining area was too small-we had to wait for a table to become available and have never had to do this at a premier inn before. we were not allowed to have our pram in the breakfast area because of the space which made it difficult as we had a newborn with us.

Location

the location was what i wanted. the price was reasonable for that area. the best deal is if you book for 2 nights and give one weeks notice but i was unable to do that

the noise throughout the night was unbearable...kids screaming and shouting

I've stayed here before and that speaks for itself - I also used to work nearby so I'm familiar with the local tube network etc. But as usual I got a large, clean bedroom and bathroom. The staff were friendly and efficent - they seem to understand a smile and hello brightens up a stay in a place where you don't know anybody. The hotyel has a nice relaxed atmosphere even on a weekend. Buckhurst Hill itself is a pleasent location which is close to London but far enough out to avoid all the busy noise. The hotel allowed me to take a short tube trip to Epping Forest for a meal which was lovely. But later I went to watch Sunderland play a footie match versus West Ham United at their East end ground Upton Park. The hotel was ideally situated to do all these things.

There was nothing really I didn't like.

The staff were excellent. The little things like a note on the pillow saying if it did not suit they would change it for you.

Easy to find, and is near to family with whom we were spending a couple of days before moving on to another hotel in another area.

We thought that the room was a little too small.

Lovely clean hotel, quiet location close to convenient pub-restaurant. Staff very friendly, could not fault it for a weekend break.
