With a restaurant and garden, this family-owned hotel is in the northwest of England, only a half-hour drive from Manchester International Airport. It offers live entertainment on Friday evenings.
Score from 66 reviews Excellent
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed. Very clean.
I am just over 5ft tall, I struggled to step into the HIGH bath to shower. Disappointed with the length of time we had to wait for breakfast to be served. there were no Quorn (vegetarian) sausages available.
poor water pressure meant the shower was little more than a trickle
Clean, spacious, great food next door & staff in hotel and Pub brilliant.
Room size, cleanliness, staff helpfulness, food, general ambience.Location was good for onward travelling and for Peak District access.
Poor control of heat in the room. No aircon so had to use fans as night was warm. Not a good night's sleep because of this.
The hotel rooms were excellent and the staff proved to be friendly helpful and efficient.
The staff in the restaurant bar did not achieve the same level of efficiency and service as the hotel staff.
Certainly good value for money, location was quiet, rooms clean and comfortable and the location suited our needs for visiting relatives in Macclesfield. Good food at the restaurant attached
Nothing to add
Quality of bed and pillows, breakfast on offer and all staff made an effort
All of it
Friendly staff, who are happy to help with anything. Rooms are a good standard for the price. Great pub next door.
Rooms slightly small. No shops/ amenities within walking distance.
Staff very friendly, breakfast well worth the price,
There was a lack of wardrobe space and no drawers or telephone.
Paying for internet
Stayed here whilst attending a wedding at a near by venue. Great location. Super comfy bed. It looks like the room had recently been re-furbished. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the nearby area.
Excellent reception staff, extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms nice and clean, with comfy double bed (although it was two singles clamped together which didn't impact on sleep).
Only 30 minutes free internet - would be nice if this was complementary for the price of the room.
Convenient location for overnight stay to attend wedding at Hilltop Country House. Very good breakfast served, with hot dishes cooked to order. Good rate for budget accommodation.
Would be nice if Premier Inn actually had "family" size rooms, rather than trying to squeeze 4 of us into a triple room, with extra bed (mattress) on the floor between the double and single beds.
Friendly and helpful staff both in the premier inn itself and in the table table restaurant, was staying alone and they made me feel welcomed and at ease, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this premier inn to others.
no dislikes at all
The cleanliness was excellent. The friendliness of the staff was very good. There isnt anything negative I could say, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay apart from the rooms being to hot. Will definitely stay there again.
The temperature in the rooms was far to hot.
We were on the ground floor and didn't sleep for 2 nights due to the noise above. Very disappointing.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Rooms remained incredibly hot all night with no A/C available - very difficult to sleep
Rooms are spacious, clean and of an excellent standard. The rooms have no air conditioning but did have a fan which made the room comfortable to sleep in as long as you don't mind it on all night. Good breakfast is served.
On arrival we asked reception to order a taxi as we were attending a wedding 10 minutes later we went to see how long the taxi would be to be told it hadn't been ordered as she "hadn't got round to it yet", we would have called ourselves but were told they would do this for us!! The same staff member informed us that breakfast was 10 - 11am this was in fact the busiest time of the day and is normally served from 7 - 11am, we were compensated for this and they did hurry the breakfast along but it caused much stress as we had an appointment in Manchester at 11.30am.
Comfortable rooms Great night's sleep
Some of the staff were very rude including the manager.
Good size bed. Large room. Friendly staff.
Table table restaurant wasn't up to their usual standard. Not happy at all their evrning meal.
It had everything that was needed and wasn't budget at all
Liked the easy convenience of a Premier Inn. Staff were very pleasant and helpful with directions to other places. Hotel clean, fresh and welcoming.
Position not all that easy to find. Think a few signs on the main road would be helpful as location rather tucked away.
The hotel & restaurant are visable from the main Silk Road in Macclesfield so easy to find if you don't know the exact location. The pub/restaurant is convenient, the food is good, well cooked & tasty. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and the lighting can be either bright enough for working in or low enough for a more romantic, or just relaxing, setting. The strip light above the headboard is a great feature. Our room overlooked the business park car park and was very quiet all night, even with the window open...
I do feel that the price of £71 for one night, room only, is a little too much and, as yet, I have never once been able to book a room at the starting price advertised by this chain of hotels...
