Unlike many airport hotels, Etrop Grange is a historically listed mansion house. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and a fine-dining restaurant with an AA Rosette.
Score from 651 reviews Very good
Enjoy fresh food, traditional ales, comfortable rooms and friendly service at this lodge/pub in the centre of Wilmslow, 10 minutes from Manchester Airport.

WE ARRVED AROUND 6PM, THE ROOM WAS VERY COLD, NO HEATER WORKING, WE COMPLAINED AND WAS GIVEN A LITTLE FAN HEATER, WITH LITTLE POWER, AFTER CAHNGING WE WENT TO THE PUB BUILT ON FOR DINNER, AND WAS TOLD FOOD AVAIABLE THEY STOP FOOD AT 8PM, WE WERE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM.
We arrived after travelling from Scotland to find there was no food available in the restaurant after being told by the receptionist in the premier inn it was available until 9pm. Fortunately the restaurant allowed us to order a takeaway and eat it there.
Receptionist 6pm very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Last stayed about 2004 facilities beginning to show age. Good value and price. Not a complaint just an observation. It's a competing market.
Quick check in
Breakfast a little slow, had to wait for eggs then juices and some items had ran out.
Hotel check was good and a peaceful nights sleep.
No food available after 8pm just carvery before. No toast available for breakfast. We have tried this hotel lots over the last ten years. It always fails on the food front. Last straw this time. We will be staying in the wilmslow lodge in future.
near airport but not too close very friendly and helpful staff pub with good food next door still uses proper keys instead of swipe cards that never work
needs better heating in rooms
The night staff were just amazing so helpful never came across it before in all my travels
Location is fine if you have a car. If not it's not easy to get around
Handy for Manchester and Wilmslow .
Food at restaurant was so so
Price highly inflated over Xmas period and no breakfasts available
Sanjay on reception when we arrived - welcoming and informative Good shower, clean and tidy
bed size although slightly firm for me. Free 30 mins of wi fi, may have been longer but not charged for.
Small television. Old style 4:3 flat screen unwatchable on some channels due to dark picture. No adjustments available on remote. Limited selection for hot drinks. Bath very small, should just have a decent walk in shower instead. Safer than scrabbling in and out of a bath for a shower. Feeling that costs were being cut to the bone. Didn't try the breakfasts.
As usual perfect.
The helpfulness of staff, and their making you feel at home. Cleanliness of room The quietness of room
The bed and pillows were not at all comfortable. You had to telephone the reception desk - no phone in room One chair in room could be more comfortable.
The reception staff where excellant. Couldnt be more helpful. The breakfast was also first class in the ajoining pub.
The beds. I booked a twin room for me and my friend. The single beds where on casters /wheels and moved with the slightest of touch. Sleeping was awful , everytime I moved/rolled over the bed moved. I had to hold onto the edges of the matteress every time I moved. So didnt get much sleep at all. So a thumbs down for the twin/single beds. So if you're planning a visit....Book a double !!!!!
The staff were excellent, really helpful when we arrived with 2 small children and very friendly
I generally LOVE premier inns and actually choose to stay in them over more expensive hotels. The bed you climb into is one of the most comfortable in the world. But NOT at the Wilmslow branch. Tired, grotty, old, and depressing with a faint smell of mildew. Makes you long for morning.
Good location. Clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced.
TV was a bit small.
Great location. Easy to get around manchester from it was a great base. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast
Room a bit small.
Everything was very good.Staff were very nice.
Food next door was a bit hit or miss, great carvery in the evening but a appalling breakfast, poor quality deep fried sausages, deep fried mushrooms and deep fried hash browns...disgusting to be fair. It was however hot and cooked fresh to order but in my opinion totally inedible .
Stayed for night before flight as early start. Good spot, ten minute drive to the airport. Room clean and comfy bed. Staff really polite and friendly, would stay again.
Plenty of free car parking, clean room/bathroom, nice hot powerful shower, large comfortable bed, pub had a decent atmosphere and the food was ok and reasonably priced, close to Manchester airport (15mins max) I asked for a quiet room and that is what I got and had an uninterrupted nights sleep.
Breakfast starting at 7.00am was too late for me on this occasion but this is only a minor thing.
The hotel its self was gud clean
There was absolutely nothing for the kids to do
