Staff were very professional and friendly. Good food and overall a great value stay. Went with party of 7 and none of us could criticise any part of our stay
Staff very helpful and friendly
value for money, decent bar, decent location (walking distance to teh city centre)
Easy location. Free parking.
The free parking and welcome were both excellent. The staff offered very useful information about what was available in the hotel and nearby without any prompting whatsoever. We also appreciated the free wifi and large comfortable bed and room.
Large clean rooms and lovely staff
Slight issues with tap in the bathroom. Not a big problem
Free parking Polite efficient staff Great breakfast Big beds Location good, not as central as most hotels but still walkable to city centre
The room, the food, the decor and all the staff were very helpful
Been on the top floor as my companion was slightly disabled and having to go through 3 fire doors
How kind and friendly the staff were Cleanliness of the hotel Comfort of the bed Facilities were good
I didn't like the view opposite my hotel window it was a disused multi storey car park with graffiti all over it, it didn't look nice at all.
Access Bar Comfort Area Car parking
Clean & comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful.
A bit out of the center but still in walking distance.
I liked everything about the hotel especially the free parking which is a bonus in Manchester City Centre.
The hotel was really quite until the early hours when we were woken up by a disturbance in the corridor. The police had been called to deal with unruly customers which I know is not the fault of the hotel. A bit later on a group arrived back at the hotel and carried on a loud conversation whilst walking to their rooms. It would be a good idea if the receptionist on duty in the evening could give a verbal reminder to people returning late in the evening to be quiet in the corridors. When we left the staff did apologise for the disturbance.
Very friendly and helpful staff
It was a bit over-priced - I assume the rate was inflated because of the Labour Party conference
The hotel is situated in a brilliant location near the locks with good access to all parts of the city. The hotel is just out of the city enough to enjoy the peace and and quietness at night that you may not get in the centre. The free parking with plenty of spaces is a big bonus! Finally the big comfy beds are amazing! I will definiteley stay here again!
We drove to Manchester so free parking is an absolute advantage. City centre is about 20min's walk. Few pubs nearby which is quite convenient. A new shopping mall will open in 2015 spring which might mean more shops and restaurants soon. Meanwhile, buffet breakfast at the hotel seems the only choice.
The WiFi was weak.
Anything that might have been good has been tainted with the bad memory of the appalling customer service.
Awful customer service. My colleague was staying in this hotel whilst on a business trip. It was authorised that his stay would be charged to our company card however when he came to check out they refused to charge the company card (they already had the details for it!) and said he had to pay himself, on his own card. The absolutely stupid thing is that they would have charged the card in the event he had not shown up....so why on earth they refused to charge it when he did stay, to me, is just ridiculous and shoddy customer service. The hotel might have been alright but anywhere that falls on down on basic customer service gets an overall bad review because there is simply no excuse for it. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, ever and will not be staying there ever again.
Staff very friendly
helpful, friendly reception staff good location for Bridgewater Hall good food comfortable bed with a/c in room
noisy group of young men hanging around in dining room when some had obviously finished their meal
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was terrific.
No incoming or outgoing phone calls to the rooms. This is terribly inconvenient if you are traveling without a UK compatible phone. Location is fine if you are driving into Manchester, but since the hotel is ringed with elevated, high volume roads, it is very difficult to walk in any direction except north. Amenities are pretty dismal - only wall mounted soaps in shower and sink, no facial tissue.
The two receptionists (forgot their names)who were working when we arrived on Sunday 14th September at approx. 3.30pm were very helpful and friendly and a true credit to your company. Went out of their way to find out some info for us also told us about the free bus which is great and made out visit so easy. Also Diane at breakfast was lovely and also very helpful. What a good bunch of staff you have. The girls when we left were nice too asking if our stay was good and any concerns. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend without doubt to all and would stay again if I was travelling up to Manchester.
All the staff were very pleasant, but the reception staff went out of there way to help us. Comfy rooms with plenty of pillows(very unusual). Highly recommended.
Staff was very polite
The room is not good it's needing ripped out Two single beds was more or less a pull out bed. Far from good
Best sleep ever Sarah on reception free car parking
too hot at times
