Very good,
Score from 332 reviews
“ A gang of us were over for the Stone Roses opening gig in Heaton Park and the staff were great from the start, they got us cabs as we needed them and served in the bar until we had enough. My mates stayed in the Hilton and for the money the standard in the Premier was higher. I'd def recommend it for a group a of mates having a weekend in Madchester ;) ”

The room was clean, tidy and with a comfortable large bed. The on site parking was very good, I had piece of mind my car was safe and secure. We were on the third floor (319), people above us came in at 02:00 hours and for two hours were very noisy, banging on the floor and loud voices/ shouting. Disrupted my sleep. Very disappointed. :(

The lady that checked us in was more than helful, and very friendly. the free parking was a bonus. There was a free shuttle bus into the centre. The bar was nice. Slightly noisy when people were coming in at night, as we were right above the front doors, but that is to be expected and it can't be helped.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There's a free shuttle bus on a Saturday which runs into town (Deansgate/Oxford Road/Arnsdale Shopping Centre), the bus stop is right outside this hotel. Bonus! This hotel is a 5 minute taxi ride to Manchester Apollo.

We stayed at a large twin room. Breakfasts were good. The staff was friendly. The hotel is very good for business trips. There was a bath in the room. There is a stop of free buses to the town’s centre near the hotel. The wireless Internet access in the room was not free (though it is cheap).

It was clean and spacious. Would appreciate some toiletries, in case any are forgotten. Didn't appreciate loud guests early in the morning and someone in a room near to us swearing loudly at someone to shut up.

Free parking is always a bonus in a city centre. Premier Inns always look quite smart and stylish. The food in the restaurant was good. On arriving in our room at the hotel, we noted the level of the toilet was higher than usual and full of shredded tissue. On flushing the toilet we found the level crept up almost to the rim. Very obviously when the room had been cleaned the cleaner could not have failed to have noticed the problem! We telephoned down to Reception and were told that it would be fixed asap. We went down to have a meal but a couple of hours later the problem still had not been fixed so we mentioned it again on our way out for the evening. When we returned about 11pm we asked at Reception if the problem had been sorted and were assured it had. However, on reaching the room the level in the toilet still seemed a little high and on first flush once again threatened to overflow. We luckily had used the facilities in the bar before retiring for the night but it made us reluctant to use the toilet during the night! On complaining to Reception next morning, they offered us our money back (which hopefully will appear in our account soon) but it really did spoil our evening and our sleep to know that we could not use vital facilites overnight! Usually we do not have any problems with this hotel group; hopefully the problem is just a one-off.

The staff were excellent, quick smooth check in. We were going out and had a limited amount of time, went to eat in restaurant and good selection of food reasonably priced. A taxi was organised swiftly despite a big demand and we were picked up from door. Nice big room and comfy bed and pillows. Extra milk tea and coffee given when we got back from our night out. Good breakfast selection, good quality food. Just a couple of things, people directly above were very noisy and there was noise in the hallway in middle of the night. Also hair dryer positioned where there is not a mirror so difficult to dry hair.

It is relatively pricey, but OK for central Manchester. The hotel looks like brand-new, has spacious rooms, and free and very secure parking (count this in, when you compare). The bar and breakfast is very much OK. It is ca. 20 minutes walk to city centre and universities. My main criticism is the heating. The AC has a maximum of 23 degrees but falls below before it goes up again. Moreover, the radiator is very small and simply unable to heat a big room. I caught a terrible cold the first night and was shaking for a day. As soon as I informed Reception, a mechanic came and manually fixed the AC to 23 degrees, i.e. it would never fall below. Also, I was given a portable heater which was very efficient. Yet, by then the damage is done in cold winter nights. - Other than that very little to critique. I had a room opposite two busy highways, but, while some noise could be heard, it was OKish. The hotel does not provide toiletries, except for o soap dispenser (though mine was empty). Also, full English breakfast is good, but the continental side is nothing but marmelade. For this price, some cheese and ham should also be provided. Not everybody can or wants to eat sweet. The kind lady at the desk provided me withe what I needed; the guy on the last day was less forthcoming.
