The friendliness of the staff
The rooms were on the chilly side and the radiator wasn't working properly
Great location, and close (literally over the road) from Giorgio's Italian - great restaurant! Bar at hotel was open for drinks until 1am - bonus after a meal out :)
A bit of street noise, but in the centre of Manchester you would expect some, and was a lot less than in other hotels I've stayed in.
Premier as usual - good nights sleep
Couldn't open my window and the cleaners didn't clean my bathroom properly in my 3 nights stay. Shame - good otherwise.
Good location, nice room, pleasant staff and good breakfast.
Thermostat in first room was not working so I was moved, but the room temperature wasn't any better. I was told by staff that the thermostat shuts off when the room reaches the set temperature, but I suspect that something is amiss with the system. I have never had such a problem getting warm in a room and it really had a negative impact on my stay because I couldn't get comfortable unless I was bundled up.
Great staff and location
The internet service was the worst we have found. No service in the room with the exception of windows of minimum strength if you sat beside the entrance door, we spent our time sitting in the hall down from our room to get weak service that kept dropping out. Sorry to the other guests for having to make their way past us.
Staff were very helpfull, very friendly. Bedroom was a good size, such a comfortable bed !!!!!
Checkin is quite late, and we couldn't check in any earlier. Also i paid for WIFI, but it was free the days we were there as there was a 'technical problem'
Bed Breakfast Location Price
Restaurant too hot Card terminal out of order so difficulty making payment Reception staff inexperienced
Perfect choice in hotel from the friendly staff at check in, to the lovely rooms & comfy bed. I've stayed in Premier Inns before but this one was far superior than some of the others. Would definitely stay again and suggest to others. Thanks
Staff very friendly and helpful, room comfortable and clean. Will come again.
So easy to check in. Very clean room and friendly staff.
Quick check in processand staff were helpful at all times. The food was very good at the restaurant, the staff work well under pressure especially Billy who was left on his own with one chef down and kept his calm throughout, brilliant job!
We stayed for 5 nights in December and although the cleaners came everyday the bed linens were not changed for the duration of our stay. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms which we discovered had no telephone and wouldn't be able to have one in the room. The room temperature in could not be controlled and therefor was very hot and window did not open.
The best Hotel brand in all UK
Wifi should at least be free like many other hotels
Good value for money little lad loved it
Room was too cold couldn't seem to get warm
Location staff were lovely :-)
Bins were collected very early in am and woke us up :-)
Location excellant - close to everything in city centre. Everything up to Premier Inn high standard
No faults at all
just modernised clean tidy very warm comfy great friendly staff the lady behind the bar was so polite and friendly all other staff was brilliant as well will be definitely going again only 10 walk into main shopping town
there was nothing I didn't like about it
The rooms were beautifully done out.
The noise from out side because you can't lock the window meant the window was open all night so you could hear the noise.
The hotel is central to everything, close to all public transport and of course the arndale shopping center which is about seven minutes walk, fab restaurants in the area also, but you could not beat the breakfast in the premier inn,we did not have dinner there but I heard great reports, hotel staff are excellent for helping you and its also very safe for children, they have a luggage room where you can keep your luggage before check in or when leaving this is very well ran and you can leave your stuff with peace of mind, when travelling with kids its also good to know across the road from the hotel you have Mc donnalds,
The only downfall I had would be getting a room to the front of the hotel ad the noise from the street is extreme at times making it hard to get a nights sleep, we did not complain as we were two nights there but I am sure had we looked for a change of room they would have done their best to help us.
6 of us Called in at the bar at 00.40 and were told they had cashed up and stopped serving despite the bar being open until 01.00am. It should be open as advertised not until the staff member decides he wants to go home
Excellent location. Helpful, friendly staff.
Could not check in until 2pm.
Breakfast was tasty, although expensive at almost £18 for 2 people. Convenient being a few seconds from the room though. Comfortable bed. Good price. Good location - 5 min walk to The Ritz. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Reception were friendly.
Had to pay for WiFi so didn't bother, but signal wasn't great. This isn't the hotels fault, but we got woken up in the middle of the night by moronic guests screaming for 20+ mins straight, although this did stop shortly after a phone call to reception. Breakfast starts at 6:30AM so people (other guests) were loud with no consideration around this time - again, not the hotels fault, but annoying nonetheless.
breakfast was lovely all staff really friendly and helpful very comfy room and bed
noisy extractor fan in bathroom - minor irritation
I found when we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting with booking in. We found the restaurant and bar staff were very good made you very welcome. The food was very good and the staff worked very hard. Our stay with Premier Inn Portland Street was enjoyed by all.
Excellent location, very clean and extremely comfy room.
Could have done with a bit more tea & coffee in the room and a box of tissues.
The room was clean and most comfortable. Decor looked new. Staff very well informed.
