Score from 347 reviews Very good
The location is excellent, quite close to the city centre and the various cafés and restaurants on oxford road. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. My room was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was really good as well.
Internet access is a bit pricy. The hotel should also consider decreasing the cost of breakfast to encourage visitors to include breakfast with their stay-in package. All in all however, I would definitely go back.
The cleanliness of the room and comfort of the bed and the staff were very friendly
Full breakfast Comfortable beds 24 hr reception (not needed but nice to know it's there) Location to theatres
Couldn't get air con to put out slightly cool air. Seemed hot or cold Just our preference to have opening window
Ideal location, the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. We had a large screen flat tv and tea/coffee facilities. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the towels replaced daily also!
Had to pay for Wifi, only bad point!
The front desk staff (Tom?) was fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Booked hotel for central location, but when I saw it 'in the flesh' I thought it was going to be quite noisy. Not so! I had a very peaceful evening and good night's sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they could not have done more for you. The room was newly decorated and both room and bathroom looked inviting, clean and professional. Made use of their Meal Deal and must say that meals were of very good standard! I would definitely use them again.
Very clean and comfortable.
As with all Premier Inn's the facilities in the room were new, clean and dependable. For a basic business stay, it was ideal. Staff straightforward and helpful. minimum fuss all round.
Room was so newly re-decorated you could smell the paint and I couldn't open the window to let some air in.
The Premier Inn concept is very straight forward - you simply get what you pay for. I was happy to get a refurbished room at the back of the hotel and enjoyed a comfortable and peaceful stay considering it's in a city centre location. The staff were friendly and we felt that, if we'd needed assistance, they'd be keen to help.
There's something a bit slick about the pricing of a Premier Inn breakfast. If you go round three times it represents terrific value however most people won't as it's just a bit ordinary and gets 'tired' after it's been out on display for the whole service. On reflection I'd also pick a hotel away from the casino and bars next time I travel with the family. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and entirely inefficient and the shower was pretty feeble ... but hey, it's a budget hotel and all of the above is offset by convenience and their excellent mattresses.
The lady in reception on arrival was very helpful and polite.
On arrival there was a large party of men in reception who were all drunk, swearing and loud. The reception area was dirty. They were smoking in the men's toilet. A man was sleeping near to entrance he'd been sick all over the pavement. It was frightening for the children to see. It wasn't a nice place to be.
Hotel is 20 min train trip from Manchester Airport and 5 min walk from Oxford Rd station. All staff were extremely friendly and could not have been more helpful. Room was comfortable, air con & heating.
The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We went out for breakfast for which there are many options. Staff in the hotel assert their breakfast is very good.
The noise outside the (double-glazed) window, due to buses, coaches and people through much of the night. We were given a room on the first floor overlooking Portland Street. The bathroom fan was noisy, and the pump on the drains was disconcerting.
Staff very positive - not just a "be nice to people" routine. Excellent quality of breakfast foods - and as much as you like! Spacious room with good-sized bathroom.
Several colleagues for meeting stayed here. One booked a good earlier than others (me) and got much better value - so, plan early.
Our room was of a much higher standard than I expected for the price we paid. I was very happy with our stay and would definitely stay at a premier inn hotel again based on our experience
Being in a new place, I was a little uncomfortable letting my 13 year old son sleep in a separate room from us. The manager was very kind to let me, my husband and three children in one large quad room. All hotels provided for four ppl only. I was stuck with my third child. It was comfortable the staff were very friendly and defenately worth the money.
I had to wait for a long time for my cooked breakfast. Only had breakfast for one day out of three nights stay
location, staff, rooms , everything
As a veggie it was great that they did quorn sausages they also did omelette and poach eggs fresh to order the hotel room was like a five star it was very nice and comfortable and the staff was so friendly I had a electric shock with one of there irons and the staff dealt with it great so apologetic could not fault them if you go away stay at a premier inn you will not waste your money staying there
Nothing everything was fab
Excellent staff... georgeous refurbished rooms... great value for money
The location and space in the room.
Too warm - heating at 23c excessive for summer. Couldn't control the temperature from inside the room. That made it difficult to sleep.
Very close to bars and restaurants. Good clean comfortable bedroom.
By far the best hotel I've stayed in for a while... Staff were really nice and food was brilliant.. Anything we needed they had.. Definitely recommend it to anyone plus its in the center to everything.
Hotels situation. Cleanliness, comfortable beds. Quietness
The hotel in the picture is'nt premier inn.
location room comfort facilities
temperature fan was too noisy
The comfortable bed. The choice of pillows. Friendly staff. The fantastic, wonderful, amazing breakfast.
Finding a dirty looking pair of false eyelashes that looked like hairy caterpillars stuck inside the breakfast menu in our room. Just finding them put me off food, glad my husband talked me into trying the breakfast as it was superb.
Room Temperature control was nice to have a cold room to return to. Beds were super comfy too
Bath tub was difficult getting in to have a shower and was slippy
