Premier Inn Manchester City Centre (Portland Street)  

this was the first time we had stayed in a premier inn but it won't be the last , from beginning to end the staff where brilliant and very friendly , the rooms where spot less and i can understand why lenny henry stays here it was the best nights sleep i've had for a long time , we do travel around the uk alot mainly staying in travelodges and last week the hilton in leeds but this premier inn was better than them all , i mean this when i say cu again very soon

Very clean, comfortable rooms in a great central location. The reception staff (Kim and Nadia) were so kind when I got taken ill at the Manchester marathon. I often stay at Premier Inns as I find them reliable, this one did not disappoint.

The room we stayed in, 283 was huge and was lovely as we had lots of room.

Lots of people running past the door during the night shouting and making noises. (We realise this sometimes can't be helped)

Cant prasie the bar and restaurant enough. Vicki and james were so helpful. Food was great and we were well looked after

Did not like the way kerri the girl on reception looked for the exact money we had to borrow change. We were a few pence short and we made us come back down to her with it because her money would be short. Then she was not sure about the 50 pound notes we were using to pay here because they looked strange. She kept examining them. We were very embarrased as there were other guest arriving in behind her. Really did not appreciate it after a days travelling.

They allowed us to book in early as we had an appointment to get to.

Very convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The whole building was clean and a pleasure to stay in. It would have been nice for a one night stay to have some basic toiletries provided such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, to save our carriage for a one night stay.

The location was perfect for our visit to the gay Village, which was our main reason for staying at the Premier Inn Portland St. On arrival we were greeted with a really friendly warm welcome by Kerry,one of the reception staff. Kerry checked us in- in the new fast track check in service, and explained the times for breakfast etc. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast each morning, the breakfast was £7.99 buffet eat as much as you like. Which was fantastic value as the choice of food was so over welming. Basically you would really struggle to find anything they had'nt included in the selection of breakfast. Throughout our stay we were met by friendly staff who were intrested to know how our stay at Manchester and the premier Inn was and if there was anything we needed. I willl definatly book to stay again soon and would have no problem recomending this hotel to anyone wanting to come and stay in Manchester.

Very handy for the Palace Theatre

Hotel is in a great location. A nice walk into the city centre takes 20 minutes. Shops are there and so is the public transport. The rooms are nice and clean and have a very decent bathroom space too. Breakfast is a buffet and you have a good choice too. TV list is decent too. Staff is very helpful and attend to any of your questions in a most professional manner. Even when I had a problem with regards to the room keeping, the duty manager sorted out the problem to my satisfaction. Good Job !!

It is only the bathroom extractor fan that let out an annoying sound when it was on. Otherwise, nothing to complaint about.
