Premier Inn Milton Keynes South  

Staff were friendly and professional. The location is great - minutes from the MK Dons stadium and close to the big shopping malls. The grounds by the lake are really nice. My daughter really enjoyed the playground as well. Parking was also really good.

The bathroom had mould. The restaurant (Fayre & Square) has a standard of food which is below that of a Harvester/Brewers Fayre chain pub. At breakfast was good quality but there were only 2 people serving on a busy bank holiday (morning of the MK Marathon). The staff were great and did their best but couldn't keep up with the needs of everyone. There was a lack of cups glasses bowls and spoons. This is very basic stuff for a breakfast service.

The location was fantastic and very child friendly. Grace was our receptionist and she couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The rooms were comfy and perfect for what we needed

The breakfast was very disappointing we were told to help ourselves to continental but hd to ask for juice,glasses, plates and bread. It took 30mins to order hot food and another 30 mins to arrive, bored children and adults. We are late for our day out. There were only two staff serving the whole restaurant. They did their best and were apologetic. We did receive a refund

The rooms were tidy and the view over the lake was fantastic. It was very easy to find and the location was lovely. The kids playpark was also another great addition.

The breakfast was not until 8am and so as we had to leave at 7.30 we had to get a refund on the breakfasts we had ordered although the staff had promised that they would provide something for our children, this did not materialise and we are still waiting for the refund to come through. The room was very cold as the window did not close properly. The pub although well fitted out had a silly system where you had to order drinks with the food so you had to join the massive queue every time you wanted another drink. This made our stay in the pub shorter than it would have been due to how busy it was. The staff were also rather unfriendly behind the bar,

Stained toilet bowl and sink plug hole. Only 1 vending machine which was broken and no one had bothered to put a sign on it. A measly 2 tea bags for a 24hr stay. Only 2 towels provided. A television from back in the day! Queues to order a drink from the bar which took ages because most people were ordering food too!

The room was a good size, the bed very comfy and the staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were good as well.

The decor is a bit dated but I wouldn't hold it against the hotel and the bathroom fan was a bit noisy. I came back to my room one day at 1.45pm and it hadn't been cleaned so I had to go without that day. This is not the end of the world but I was suprised as this is not a big hotel and I had been out of my room since before 9am/

Good price, clean and tidy, good location, excellent food in the pub next door.

Staff very polite and extremely helpful.

Hotel seemed dated, use of traditional metal key to enter room as opposed to plastic card wasn't cool. Toilet wasn't sparkling white as should be and bathroom/toilet in general was dated and required modernisation, flooring was awful, a wall tile or two were cracked even. Being greeted by chunky grey portable outdated TV instantly killed the mood having entered the room using an outdated metal key. Finally pillows did not allow a good nights sleep.

Difficulty with online booking with booking.com [unusual] compounded by the american woman whose customer service consisted of following a script instead of listening to what the problem was.

Location next to lake with attractive grounds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was extremely clean. Plentiful parking.

The family room was cramped with two short single beds just fitting either side of the double. This would have been less of an issue if the two single beds had been comfortable. Unfortunately, they were hard and lumpy and, in fact, the first of our three nights neither of my children (14 and 12) could sleep because of it. In the middle of the night we had to put the quilts under the bottom sheet which improved it slightly. Reception organised spare quilts for us the next day and that's how we got around the problem. Sadly, the poor beds and bad sleep for three nights is the one thing the children keep commenting on when Premier Inn is mentioned. How different to the USP of 'good nights sleep guaranteed' and certainly no offer of partial 'money back' was forthcoming. No other complaints with this stay but 'the sleep promise' was not delivered.

Breakfasts could be extended a little longer. 9AM is a bit early when you're on holiday. Cadecotte Arms VERY draughty! Food excellent, though.

Nothing wrong with hotel, but Booking.com had not told Premier Inn that I had booked my children as well as myself - so had to sort out additional bedding on arrival. Better to book direct.

Large bedroom with good equipment. Very quiet. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Good breakfast. Nice location by the lake, convenient with the restaurant. Car recommended. I recommend this hotel.

Nothing really, rather an advice: I booked the room on line with breakfast included and it was more expensive than if I had paid for it at the hotel.

Loved the building, felt like a little something special with the windmill. Breakfast was great and both restaurant staff and hotel staff were friendly and very efficient. If in that area I will def stay there again.

The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was actually quite nice. The room we stayed in was overlooking the lake and had a sloping ceiling, which gave it a little charm. The shower was possibly the best I've used. I will definitely use it again next time I have to travel to mk.

The noisy people going back to their room at midnight, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. I thought the room as a little cold (my husband didn't), but the receptionist nit only found me extra bedding, but a heater too (it was the weekend with the snow). So both my negatives aren't really negatives.

Asked the staff to look at the windows as it sounded as if they were open (traffic noise was quite loud) they moved us to another room which was perfect and were very accommodating. Breakfast staff also very friendly and welcoming.

Hotel is a bit dated although comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety but fried eggs were hard and had obviously been kept warm under a heat lamp.

The bathroom extractor fans! They are VERY noisey. As a result I was woken 3 times during the night when other guests went into the bathrooms and swithced on the light/fan. I am not a light sleeper but it was noisey and spoilt my stay because I didn't sleep well. Such a shame because apart from that the hotel was excellent.

We were attending a night out and the location of the hotel was great, the room was clean and a good size and the bathroom was good. For this kind of trip where you are not using the room alot a clean and comfortable bed plus a good shower is what is required and the hotel passed with flying colours.
