reception staff upon arrival,
one member of staff, she wasnt helpful when we made two complaints, infact she went out her way to be very helpful when it came to getting us out the hotel the day we were leaving. i am 4 months pregnant and woke up two morning with insect bites all up my arm, the girl we complained to didnt take notes to pass on to manager, wasnt concerned at all about a pregnant women haveing insect bites or her 8 year old daughter who also had a bite. used a taxi driver within the hotel who over charged us and didnt put on his meter whilst we were in the taxi, he charged us £10 from the hotel to the metro radio arena and we discovered on the way back in a diffrent taxi that the real cost was only £6 ! again the girl at the reception called us a liar and said it is £10 from the hotel to the metro radio arena , the next day we called our own taxi to newcastle town which he conformed it is infact £6 to the metro radio arena. matress on the bed was very hard and uncomfortable!, no hot water to have a bath, paid for 24 hrs wi-fi and only receviecd an hour before it cut off.
The staff were very helpful, they went the extra mile, We would recommend this Premier Inn to all friends and family. We have never been to Newcastle before and they ordered taxis for us to the City Centre and the taxi driver was very good, the restaurant was value for money and all staff were nice.
Hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them
the shower+bath the price colour of purple
small tv.not a lot of coffee or tea bag no biscuits in the room
Room good, location great.
Breakfast was disgusting! Raw eggs, hair in food
The comfort location and the staff very helpfull
Breakfast selection was good Relatively quiet room
Bed not upgraded yet - had much better ones in other Premier Inn hotels Nightmare to get to without a car, ended up spending a lot on taxis Very expensive for Great North Run weekend
The front of desk staff where abit abrupt ! The bathroom was not clean at all ! The bed was as comfy as a bed of nails so bad I still have back ache 2 days later !!!!
The location of the hotel worked well for us as it was close to shopping centers as well as links to other parts of the city. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was value for money.
The accommodation could have been little more cleaner specially the bathroom - ventilation is poor and therefore it smells. The designated smoking area is right outside the front entrance of the hotel, you would have to walk through the smoke/smokers as you enter or leave the hotel. I strongly recommend relocating this area elsewhere.
the price and quality of the food at the ajoining resturant
Easy access from hotel to metro and to visit family welcoming staff helpful restaurant staff especially with children
Friendly staff. Clean. Great breakfast.
Took a while to find it! Room doesn't have air conditioning but a large fan was provided although it was a little noisy.
Location, close to shopping centre/restaurants. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was great. Clean. Friendly Staff, very helpful.
Room was very hot, needed air conditioning
Staff super friendly breakfast was lovely close to metro centre
room could do with a coat of paint very warm but its august I guess
The beds are comfy, rooms are big enough for families & buffet restaurant next door was fantastic & great value for money
Room was too hot even with fan on air con would have been good
bed was uncomfortable
no path outside to walk to metro
The standard is always reasonable. You know what to expect. No surprises!
The dreadful Taybarns food place is noisy and very unrefined!
Fan in room when weather was hot outside. Room was cooled for our arrival. Option for soft or hard pillows. We knew what we were booking with consistent good standards
lift was a bit slow. Taybarns restaurant would not have been our first choice next door - it would have been nice to be served at end of a long day - Brewers Fayre or other would have been good.
Prompt check in & out, Friendly staff.
Rom was hot & stuffy in spite of fan.
Location to Metro centre was excellent
lack of air conditioning other than the fan that had been placed in the room. This made for a restless sleep for all of us
Clean and spacious family room
Beds were too firm, especially the fold out spare bed. We arrived at 10pm and there was no food available. Was hoping soup or sandwiches were available after a busy day.
Very dated Very hot in room Expensive for the facilities provided
Front reception staff very welcoming and helpful.
Smell of urine in the bathroom.
the staff were lovely and very helpful, the variety of breakfast was excellent and really tasty.
i felt the hardness of the mattresses let the accommodation down. did not feel comfortable at all, even the kids complained to us about their sleep.
