Score from 405 reviews Very good
The Inn was good however I feel we should have been told prior to booking that there were extensive renovations going on, abit of a building site in parts.
The attached Beefeater was lovely inside, breakfast great, the paid for meals off the menu were poor however, waste of money! service was great.
A very warm welcome on arrival and a very quiet, comfortable and peaceful night. What more can you ask? Beefeater breakfast very good. There was a problem with the paid wifi so we had free wifi access which was brilliant - it would great if free wifi was part of the Premier Inn offer.
Have been staying at Premier Inn for two nights. My first time to stay at a Premier Inn and it was a positive experience. Check in/out were handled efficiently. I was pleasantly surprised at the spacious room. The bed was very comfy with a choice of pillows. I also had a chaise longue to relax on while reading/watching TV. No issues with en suite either. I used the bar in the adjacent Beefeater once and was surprised when none of the bar staff had any idea how to use a corkscrew. I ended up opening the bottle myself. Do they not receive even the most basic training? Breakfast, also served in Beefeater, was good though with all the usual hot and cold offerings. I would recommend, and would gladly return.
All good....no complaints!
The overall facilities and the can do attitude of all staff
Overal good, but wifi should be free during the all stay as most of the other hotel do
Very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and polite. Would stay again.
All round great
Why is it more expensive than Torquay

The room and staff.
Having to eat at the beefeater because there were no other options (the hotel isn't located in the best place).
Staff were lovely both in the hotel and the restaurant.
As a business traveller I was told they'd put me in a quieter area but I was right by the door that led to the stairs so was woken both mornings, Sat at 5 and Sunday at 6 by the door opening and closing. As a mother, getting a good nights sleep in priceless and as I was looking forward to a lay in until 7 to be woken both mornings was very disappointing. The service in the restaurant in the evening wasn't very good. I had to ask to be moved as I was sat right in a draught from the main door and was almost forgotten as had to ask for my drink and few bits of things that had been forgotten with my meal. Shame as the food wasn't too bad.
Customer service, cleanliness, location close to town
Air con noise in room, it was cold in the room
The staff were so attentive , polite and very chirpy which was nice to hear . I will defiantly be staying here again .
As always the beds in Premier Inn are really good
A bit out of the centre of town
Reception Staff were very friendly and informative.
Walkway from Hotel to Restaurant is very wet and slippery in the Rain, causing reception area to be wet and slippy - could do with covered walkway especially in Winter,
All in all, it was a good hotel, Beefeater is just next door and the hotel is easily accessible from the main roads.
Having asked to borrow an iron on the evening of my stay, I was provided with one which on use left rust marks over a clean white short. This led to having to visit the Tesco opposite to buy stain remover and for my shirt then to be washed and the stain marks removed. On complaining to the lady on the desk, I was advised that a note would be left for the manager for the morning. In the morning having spoken to the manager, the attitude was a case of "oh well". No offer was made to compensate me for the incovnience or the fact that I had to purchase stain remover to fix an issue which was theres. This was most disppointing.
Why charge for wifi? Too far from anywhere
Height of the bed
If it rained the open bridge was not good
Breakfast was cold and Waitress got our order wrong.
Size of room , good house keepin g and very helpful staff.
Noise at night from fresh air system very loud at times.
We found the Inn very comfort and easy to find.Staff were very friendly and helpful on our arrival, and are room was ready even though we did not need it till 20.30hrs.
Found the enterance to the hotel abit confusing and differcult to get to with a husband who could not manage stairs well, and was a long walk for him.
