Staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Rooms spacious and clean. Restaurant lovely. Only fault wifi should be free for whole stay other than that would highly recommend this hotel.

Paying for wifi. Pillow still to soft.

    Staff very good without exception.

No shaver point (room 216). Noise insulation from floor above poor. Both my mum (room 212) and I (216) were woken by the people above who were only walking about.

The fact that you could walk into the Racecourse without the "getting in and getting out" trauma makes this an ideal venue if you don't want cossetting. It is sparse but you get what you pay for and at least the bed was Queen size. Only liquid soap available.

Having to cross the bridge to the Beefeater for brreakfast

this was our first experience of premier inn and we would def do it again, great value for money, super friendly staff, lovely breakfast, really clean, perfect location, our little girl said its the best hotel she ever stayed in :-)

our only discomfort was the matress, you could feel the springs which made for not a great sleep, if it hadnt been for that then our stay would have been faultless.

The beds. The location. The Hotel was generally very nice, modern, and had a walkway across to the Beefeater Grill, where we had breakfast and one dinner (the food was great and brilliant service from Lizzy).

Very comfy clean rooms. Beefeater closeby was convenient. Reception staff v friendly. Brought an iron to our room, very helpful.

Lacks charm/character throughout, but then you know what you're getting when you book a Premier Inn.

Well maintained, clean hotel with friendly staff and a Beefeater restaurant over looking Newton Abbot racecourse. Great base to explore Torquay, Dartmoor, Exeter etc

Surrounded by industrial park and a big Tesco on one side...but we were only on a short break so not an issue, plenty of countryside not far away...

Ideal for a visit to the races - we had traveled from Humberside, had a horse running, it won at 8/1 - say no more! One of the waiters, forgotten his name -excellent chap (14th July) joined in the 'high spirits' and did a great job, - he was well rewarded! Car parking excellent.

Long journey home under the weather - but all worth it and as arnie said, "I'LL be BACK!"

    Location and friendliness of staff

Eating/Drinking facilities in Beefeater were appalling. One person only serving in the Bar on a Saturday Night - average wait for a drink 20 minutes plus!!! As for the dining experience booked Gluten Free Breakfasts - no opportunity to toast the Bread unless use of general toaster - a serious NO. Waited an hour plus for cooked breakfast on the Monday - before it arrived a. Incorrect order when it arrived b.when corrected it was cold but still incorrect in that some ordered items missing c. NO Gluten Free bread available d. Had to call waitress FOUR times before order taken.

Very pleasant staff, and location was also very handy, we dont drive but buses were always running past every few mins. Food was good, room was lovely and staff very helpful.

As a smoker I would like an appropriate place to have one, with seating, and not feel like I'm doing something wrong, it is still legal you know, apart from that everything was great.

staff and facilities very good. Welcoming and helpful at all times. Our first experience of a PI which was good in virtually every respect and good value too.We intend to visit again and it will be first choice in that area.

    Nothing of significance to say

The comfort of the bed, the quietness of the room and the closeness to both Newton Abbot centre and the area generally. Would return again.

The hotel shares its access with the racecourse which in turn opens off a very busy roundabout opposite a superstore and close to commercial buildings/ out of town shoppng area. Leaving can require extreme patience. Tip: Lobby for traffic lights!!
