Met by a very pleasant lady who ensured everything regarding my stay was ok
Friendly staff who's knowledge and helpful manner were a god send a breath of fresh air.
Leaving it was that good.
Very friendly staff, makesu feel at home
The staff were extremely helpful. We were staying because of a funeral the following day. I'd dropped my partners's white shirt and got some marks on it. The lady who checked us in offered to wash it for us. Happily this wasn't necessary. Also the lady in the breakfast bar was great, helping me with the toaster. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. I had a better night's sleep than I do at home!
Wifi only worked in the reception area. Harvester meal in adjacent restaurant average.
Staff s genuine friendliness, Flexibility allowing me my breakfast in 2 parts; porridge at 6.30 and cooked and toast at 9.30 Excellent bed, Restful decor, East location for travelling . Twinings tea, Morn flake oats . Variety of breakfast. Easy online booking. That premier belongs to a British company
Slight low noise of some lights in my room Harvester next door evening meal .
Welcoming friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Breakfast cooked to order.
Nothing to dislike
I liked the uniformity of the hotel - you usually get what you are expecting
The fact that a door right outside of my room constantly banged throughout the night, waking me up several times. When mentioned to the staff in the morning they said they would get it fixed but I thought they might have offered me my money back as I DIDN'T get a good night's sleep!
Great room where everything worked to a high standard and breakfast superb.
Tried to get evening meal at the nearby Harvester to no avail without a one hour wait.
friendly staff clean room comfy bed exellent breakfast terrific choice again very good serving staff
why no loo rolls the dispensers for natural functions are poor i take my own shower gel because i find the soap dispensers poor. otherwise the bathroom is v clean with a exellent shower i
Very nice hotel, clean and very quiet. Staff were very helpful with our travel arrangements.
It is worth knowing that it is impossible to walk from Pontypool railway station to the Premier Inn without dicing with death on a dual-carriageway with no footpath - you will need to get a taxi. A better bet would be the Premier Inn at Cwmbran (one stop down the line), which is accessible on foot from the station there (and the station has more trains/facilities and a taxi rank)
The new mattresses are wonderful. The cooked to order breakfast was worthy of a 5 star hotel. I don't give praise easily but this was really perfect..
Bed was a little low... Would have been perfect to have a mirror above the desk/dressing table. Nothing else!
In total we booked 5 rooms, not all through Booking.com. This leads to a complex payment at the desk, with staggered arrivals, especially as there were changes in the number of nights booked. Couldn't have been more helpful!. Restaurant staff excelled- as we can be a difficult lot- and our little peculiaries were seen as 'quite normal'. Staff could not be faulted and we feel that we got value for money- but we could have nipped around the roundabout the hotel is situated on to a Macdonalds or the nearby Harvester
Busy roundabout and our entrance to it the least important - so had to wait longer than usual for a break in the traffic. Biggest gripe was that, unlike the Best Western opposite, there is no real lounge area and no attempt, even in the summer, to establish a seating area outside on the lawns
Everything specially the lovely en suite
Staff were wonderful
The breakfast was the best we've had, freshly prepared unlike Manchester Airport Premier where it's all sitting under glass and the bacon and eggs were inedible. The reception staff were excellent Manchester hit and miss. The bed very comfy and clean.
Pity there were no dining facilities for evening meal. If the breakfast was anything to judge by it would have been good. As it was we ate at The Harvester next door. Waited over an hour for meal of crispy skin potatoes which were a soggy mess. The chips were dry and inedible and the scampi the breadcrumb coating was soggy and had fallen off. Failed to eat. Also had a meal at Premier Llandudno which was good. They don't appear to be all the same high standard
Plenty of parking and attractive outside space. Warm friendly welcome on Reception from Lynne where nothing was too much trouble plus received additional information on local area. Spacious room well equipped with extra pillows and very comfortable bed with crisp fresh linen. Clean modern bathroom with good sized towels and plenty of hot water.
The busy roundabout - although I didn't hear any traffic noise. Only 30 minutes free wi-fi then it automatically cuts off without notice. No biscuits/hot chocolate on the hospitality tray
The staff were professional and helpful. The rooms & hotel very clean and fresh. The hotel had a pleasant small restaurant serving breakfast. We had an evening meal at the Harvester restaurant next door; we had to wait as it was Saturday night, but it was excellant value.(There was a also Macdonalds and a KFC nearby)
The breakfast seemed overpriced. I could have had a cheaper breakfast at the Harvester nearby. The location is not brilliant as it is on a trading estate . We were woken up just after midnight by youths playing football on the car park of a factory unit opposite our room.
Convenient stopping spot, comfortable, good value
Reading (quickly) the hotel description before booking, I saw "Free WiFI", but this turned out to be only for 30 minutes, after which a charge was payable. When "Free WiFi" is offered, it should be for the entire stay!
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean and comfy room. Lovely breakfast. Quiet and peaceful area.
Nowhere to go for a walk as surrounded by busy roads, no underground or foot paths.
Fantastic staff, really friendly and helpfull. Good food.
Location meant having to drive or book local taxi well in advance and pay alot. Also shower being fixed not ideal.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and when reAlly busy during breakfast maintained their friendly and polite manner .
Location on a busy traffic Island made foot travel difficult but staff helped my son to access alternative quick route on foot to the station.
This Premier Inn has wonderful staff who are extremely helpful and cheerful. They made our stay a real pleasure. The Inn is clean and the beds are really comfy. The breakfasts include everything you could wish for and the Harvester next door is a handy place for a reasonably priced meal at other times.
The lady on front desk with purple hair was most helpful, professional and lovely.
I've stayed at a good many Premier Inns and this one is my favourite. Has a really nice feel to it + you dont have to go to a pub accross the car park for breakfast.
