This historic building was once visited by Charles Dickens for his public readings. It offers a Dickens-themed restaurant, light, modern rooms with private bathrooms, and a themed bar.

Only 15 minutes’ walk from Reading’s town centre, this charming Victorian house offers individually styled rooms with free Wi-Fi. It also has free parking, and is a 5-minute drive from the M4...

Clean, modern contemporary & comfortable. VERY helpful and friendly staff. Alice - Trainee on front desk genuinely welcoming and provided excellent service. Excellent breakfast bar selection. Attention to detail throughout hotel. Scrupulously clean guest rooms, hallways, reception area, lifts, restrooms & restaurant BRILLIANT ambiance throughout.
Hotel located extremely next to flyover bridge. Allocated room overlooking traffic so that sirens, car horns and road noise audible. Probably this would not be a problem if hotel window was double glazed.
Staff are friendly.
Propose to change bed sheets everyday.
Staff 5* Hotel clean and smart Central to shops, restaurants, etc Breakfast lovely
Pillows much to soft Hotel room was far to hot Because we shared our room with our 2 children I did not want to wake them up to sort out the heating
Very helpful receptionist. Hotel very accommodating with finding storage for our bikes.
Only one large towel.
Liked the very clean and comfatable room and the breakfast was delicious! Couldn't fault any of it :)
Upon arrival there was no spaces In the car park so we got told by reception staff to park over in the Oracle Car Park across the road which cost us £16.00! Was not very happy about that :(
Staff were lovely. Very comfy beds, would stay again
Wifi have to keep logging back in every time. Not bad for money, but maybe a little expensive.
Room comfortable and functional
Staff very helpful, courteous and sociable. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good location for Reading town centre. Will definitely be returning to this Premier Inn.
Unfortunately we were only in Reading for one night . Large rooms , comfy beds. Very clean . Staff very friendly. Great price
The staff always had a smile on their faces. Very approachable.
Breakfast was too dear.
Many TV channels
Not much control over the heater.
Convenient for Reading night out
Checkout time seemed early for New Years Day when everyone was hungover
The room layout could be better ie the bed could be central to the tv
free wi-ifi useless
Comfortable bed and large screen TV.
-Room closest to the Lift on the 5th floor. Every time somebody opens the door that separates the Lift and quiet area there's a sticky scrapping sound that can be annoying. -The free wifi tends to cut off after several minutes when using with a smartphone.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay. The hotel is close to the Oracle shopping centre, restaurants and a cinema, and there are plenty of buses close by.
My room overlooked a busy road so there was some traffic noise.
Staff were super helpful, friendly and knowledgable about local area and transport.
excellent staff found Mathew at reception particularly helpful to my elderly aunt... well done!
overseas tourist:good hotel but a bit pricey 90pounds per night plus breakfast payment extra bit expensive ( over 400 pounds for 2 nights with my aunt as second room. so will probably try a cheaper alternative next trip
Clean comfortable big room Great location
Maids knocked the door every 20mins from 9am. Even after asked to stop!
I've been on business and leisure. The friendliest staff you could meet. Best premier inn I've stayed in.
Very quiet even though it was on a busy street. The beds were fantastic.
Everything was fine
Comfortable room and pleasant staff.
To reach the hotel on foot one must cross via traffic lights a very complex junction. There is no car parking at the hotel and no obvious dropping off point, so not goof for a guest who cannot walk far or who has heavy luggage.
Friendly staff and close to all amenities
Having to pay for parking
