Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre (St. Mary s Gate)  

I loved the room up in one of the top floors.

I did not like all the questions asked at the check-in. I thought the hotel wanted too much information about my guest who was already paid for when I booked the room. This happened to me at another Premier Inn hotel too, so I will not be using this chain again later. At other hotels they only deal with the person booking and paying for the room.

Room excellent-very clean-staff were very helpful and extremely friendly.

The location suited the business trip. Staff in the hotel were very helpful and polite. Rooms were clean. Had all the facilities needed.

The only reason I didn't rate a 10 was because I had to wait 45 minutes for my dinner order. They had made me aware that they were understaffed but I felt that was far too long to wait and told them so. When the food arrived it was delicious and I got a very sincere apology and was compensated with a rather lovely glass of wine so that helped! Wouldn't put me off staying again.

Everything was organized and met my expectations. The comfort and service was also great.

I didn't like the internet service, I had many problems to log in and manage to pay for the service. Apart from that everything was fine.

Our keys stopped working. Repeatedly. Every one of them. One more than once. This on a two night stay!

Staff were very helpful, could not fault them. Nice to visit hotel where staff are clearly happy in their jobs and go out of their way to assist you. Hotel is very tidy, modern with free wifi, self check in, car parking, bar restaurant - with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel.

Would be nice to have a mini bar in room, shampoo/biscuits with tea facilities?

The location was superb, just a few minutes walk into the city centre. I mistakenly booked a disabled room - my own fault - thinking nothing of it. The only issue was that it was a disabled access bathroom, which meant a low sink and a sit down shower! However my stay there was perfectly fine. The staff there were all local and friendly and was shown how to use the automated check in system, which was very easy. Perfect!
