Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre (St. Mary s Gate)  

We loved the ample space in our room and the people working there were extremely friendly, much better than many other hotels we've stayed in. The amenities were excellent and overall we felt that our stay was among the best we've had in the past.

There was no mini-fridge in our room.

Some staff were very friendly. Location was good. Cleanliness very good.

Some staff were not helpful at all. When wanting a glass of water from the bar we were told that the bar didn't stock water and that glasses couldn't be taken up to the room. When we asked later in the night we were given a glass of water to take to the room! Mattress uncomfortable, loud noise in the night from people running up and down outside the room and loud noises from the pipes.

On arrival the staff were more than helpful and very friendly. The room was modern, clean and cosy. During our stay we got the impression that premier inn' and all it's staff really care about the little important details that make a hotel great. A very pleasant experience all round and the breakfast was superb!!!

We found the restaurant/bar relaxing and friendly helpful staff, food good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. Room facilities really good. Close to were we needed to be. underground parking.

Very comfortable beds and pillows. When I saw the price of breakfast I thought what a rip off at £8 but it was worth it. Well cooked, choice of eggs and wonder of wonders porridge. Very handy for Eccleshall Road and the Colliegiate Campus.

We were on the top floor and could still hear a bit of traffic and the aircon noise. But it is a city hotel on the ring road. No direct phone number only a premium line which was annoying.

The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly and the stay in the Premier was very comfortable

The fact that the sink was seperate from the bathroom was the only thing we saw as a dislike

I particularly liked the high level of security in the hotel. Needing room keys to access floors in the lift and the doors as you come out of the lift, I felt very safe, and satisfied my belongings would be when I was out. The shower was very relaxing.

For some reason my husband and I did not sleep very well at all. My husband can usually sleep anywhere at anytime.

Helpful staff, comfy room, new, modern hotel.

Very clean and modern hotel, easily accessed from the underground car park via the lift. Reassuring level of security throughout the hotel. Openplan Reception on the 4th floor was a bit strange but perfectly acceptable. Special mention to the wonderfully friendly and entertaining staff in the restaurant for breakfast.

Perhaps a little too far from the actual city centre but made up for it by easy access being just off the a61 arterial road around the centre

This must be the flagship hotel in the Premier Inn chain...I Understand it has been open for around four years yet it looked as thought it had opened yesterday. The staff were all amazingly helpfull, nothing was too much trouble for them. I almost always stay in Premier Inns however the quality does vary considerably and I always leave feedback in the hope they will use my comments to improve those hotels that are not up to the mark. This hotel is brilliant and I could not fault anything!! It was a pleasure to stay there.
