Premier Inn Sheffield MeadowhallSheffield Road, S9 2YL Sheffield (Show map) Fabulous, Score from 91 reviews“The hotel was in a good position for both trips to Meadowhall and the Town Centre. Although the hotel was by a busy main road, my room at the back was very quiet.”
Dave,
High Wycombe
Just off junction 34 of the M1, opposite Meadowhall Shopping Centre, this modern hotel offers great value, with free parking, a restaurant, a bar, and clean, comfortable en suite rooms. The Premier Inn Sheffield Meadowhall is just a short walk from Meadowhall Railway Station and there is a tram stop even closer, with trams running regularly to the heart of Sheffield. The hotel has a 24-hour reception desk and some rooms can take 2 adults and up to 2 children (under 16 years). The 2 children also get a free full breakfast when accompanied by an adult eating a full breakfast. An all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast is available each morning and includes the expected cooked items such as scrambled, fried, poached or boiled eggs, and pork or vegetarian sausages. There is also a wide continental selection. The on-site restaurant and bar offer good food and drink at a reasonable prices, as well as Costa Coffee. Hotel Rooms: 103, Hotel Chain: Premier Inn.

Staff great, welcoming and helpful. Very clean. Easy on-site parking. Felt safe. Nothing really, it was Premier Inn and they are very reliable. Would just say that it was a very cold day/night, and the room took a LONG time to warm up after I set the heating, so long that I was too cold to get to sleep and then by the time the room was warmer I was past sleeping, just too uncomfortable and miserable. It's a shame they hadn't put the heating on in the room at mid-day, knowing it was going to be in use that night. Also, I hadn't noticed that I had ticked a full English breakfast when I made the reservation on Booking.com, which I never eat, but the hotel said I could only change it through Booking.com, which seemed a bit un-user-friendly.

Excellent location and great value. Situated 5 minutes walk from Meadowhall Shopping Centre and 10 minutes walk from the Motorpoint Sheffield Arena, where we were seeing Def Leppard and Motley Crue, the Premier Inn was great. Comfortable rooms, huge bed and a decent breakfast. The front of house staff especially Shakila were fabulous !

This hotel is excellent value for money and the staff were friendly and efficient, we had a lovely comfortable room with all the facilities you would expect from a budget hotel. My only problem was the previous people that had stayed in our room... They were quite obviously heavy smokers and had used the bathroom as the smoking den whilst obviously using the extractor fan to take away the smoke, therefore every time the extractor came on and this was every time the bathroom was used the hotel room filled with the awful smell of stale tabacco... Highly unpleasant for non smokers such as ourselves!! I went to see reception and unfortunately as the hotel was full we could not be moved but even though I has not expected it we were given a full refund for the cost of the room for the night, I was highly impressed with the customer service skills of the staff and there positive attitude towards the residents of the hotel, all in all this hotel was a lovely place to stay and I will defiantly be using it again. Also we ate a pub platter in the attached restaurant and it was fresh and delicious 10/10.....

We were very happy with our recent 10 night stay. We were in England to watch our grandson play hockey and it was very convenient to the rinks and to the mall and to the train station. Great staff!! They were very good to us. we were in England to watch our grtandson play hockey and we were very happy with our stay at the premier inn, sheffield;. It was very convenient to the rinks, the mall and the train station. The staff was very good to us- if we ever get back over to England we would for sure, stay there again and we will recommend to other family members who are coming over.Excellent maid service too.

I stayed here for the European Figure Skating Chanps between 24-30th Jan & this proved to be a good base for the Motorpoint Arena (about 15 mins walk away) & for the Meadowhall shopping (across the road). Rooms were of a good size (I booked a double for sole use) & cleaned thoroughly each day. Reception staff were professional but friendly & I would recommend this hotel for both business & pleasure. This is just me being picky - would have liked breakfast extended to 10 am as the restaurant was congested with people trying to make the 9am cutoff. Would also have liked room service as a solo traveller.

My daughter and I went to do our xmas shopping at meadowhall and the premier inn was conviently opposite the main entrance so we could go back and forth with bags. The room was perfect for what we wanted and although there was a gale outside all night we never heard it.

Check in was easy and staff friendly. Room very clean and comfy. Shower gel and soap provided, also hairdryer provided. Tea and Coffee making facilities in room. Room was cold and unable to turn up heating above 17.5 degrees. No biscuits provided which we have had when staying at Premier Inn previously in Manchester.

Location In the end we did not stop all night. The purpose of our visit was to see a concert at the motorpoint arena. We came back from the concert & had a drink In the bar. We went to bed & the noise in the room was bad enough that we couldn't sleep. Room 1 was next to the hotels plant room & there was a constant drone. We spoke to reception but we were unable to move as the hotel was fully booked so we got a refund & left at 12.30am & drove home. There was no way we would have got to sleep. I'd recommend stopping here due to location of arena, the plesent staff & Meadowhall but not in room 1.

I had seen a lot of positive comments on the web when I booked. The staff were excellent.......friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were located at the back of the hotel and this was quiet. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. We had breakfast and that was very nice.I Came with my sister to see Will Young at Sheffield City Hall (Taxi £8.50) and the following day we left the car at the hotel and walked across to Meadowhall which took a few minutes.Thankyou for an enjoyable stay,i would highly recommend it to others. I am very fussy about things being spotless. If I had to find a fault it was one tiny thing.......the net curtain looked like it had been left in the spinner too long and was very creased but no complaints.

It is convenient to the m1, Meadowhall, the City Centre etc. It is clean and comfortable and all basic amenities are there. Staff are friendly. I asked for a wake up call at 8am, it didn't happen and my disabled colleague missed his appointment with a consultant. I was refunded one room for one night but I felt it should have been for both rooms for one night.

Pleasant clean room with good quality fixtures and fittings at reasonable price. The hotel's location, although convenient for the city, is close to traffic routes, therefore sleeping with the window open would not have been an option.

We had not used Premier Inns before - all aspects of the stay were very good. The staff were very friendly and displayed good customer care skills at all times. It was a very good service and we enjoyed our stay in Sheffield. Please keep me informed of any promotions - looking forward to our next stay kind regards John Conroy
