Staff, comfort of rooms and cleanliness
Food quality not great but frankly acceptable given the price paid
No phone reception in room or hotel
Comfortable bed. Very pleasant helpful staff.
Very great difficulty finding entrance to hotel parking. Council carpark limited to 10 hours so not possible. Had to drive all round town twice!! Lack of any signage to give even a clue as to where the entrance was and nowhere outside the hotel to pull in and ask. No advice about this in hotel details other than "limited parking". Extremely irritating. Wrong room allocated. Welcome pack not complete in 201. 2nd room no toilet paper. Only 2 tea bags provided for 2 people on an overnight stay. But more available when we asked. Began to wish we hadn't gone!
Location and the bed.
The toilet leaked and was not fixed although reported on Saturday morning. The guest in the room above us was inconsiderate
Good breakfasts. Convenient parking.
Massive mix up with our bookings meant our keys were cancelled 3 times over 4 days. We were a party of 15 in Shrewsbury for a wedding and such a large party seemed to confuse the reception staff.
Close to shops .
Drunks in foya.
Loved the staff: Frankie, Stephen, Jim, John - almost all the staff were superb! I also loved the full breakfast!
Location for town and theatre visit was perfect. All very clean and new, good restaurant, lovely breakfast. Pleasant staff.
Finding the car park and the arrangements for payment were difficult for strangers to take in. The check in staff were not very clear in their instructions, we didn't realise there was a back door from the car park so we had to take our cases right round the bus station to the side of the hotel. Better signs and a little map free in reception would be of great help.
Please could staff at the desk check whether customers have seen the pay and display sign in the car park!
The staff were friendly, the security was great. It was central for the town centre. It was clean and spacious, so can't really complain.
There wasn't enough milk for the tea or coffee, you usually need two small pots to make a tea and more to make coffee, hence we only had one cup. Just a minor complaint really.
Exceptionally charming and helpful staff. Decent sized room. Pleasant, no-nonsense decor and comfy bed, with a chaise-longue under the window: loads of space to relax. Superb breakfast. Most impressive of all was the sound proofing - we were unaware of any other guests except at breakfast, and though our room fronted onto the inner ring road, it was virtually inaudible from our fourth floor room.
No shaver point; wi-fi sign-up too complex for us to be bothered for a single night; crucial information (e.g. how to contact reception) was missing from our room.
Parking onsite. The Bar restaurant was very good value and selection good, service was OK but needs to be more orientated to the customer as opposed to the employees. Customers are a secondary consideration, employees come first.
Parking was expensive.
The front of house staff were exceptionally helpful, efficient, true to their word, nice with everyone. The breakfast was well worth the money, cooked to perfection and not too much ready at a time so was very fresh. Parking was no problem at all. Everywhere was spotless. Mentioned about the mattress too hard for our liking, was sorted by the time we got back thanks to the receptionist. Would highly recommended.
The only complaint we have is that on the second day of our stay the housekeeper knocked the door 3 times even though we had the 'do not disturb' sign outside...she even opened the door on the second occasion. This was mentioned to receptionist and we were assured that it would be addressed.
Location, ease of checking in
Free wifi limited to 30 mins
I liked the size of our room although I had booked a disabled room by mistake but this didn,t matter. I liked the restaurant ,excellent breakfasts, friendly staff and comfortable seating. The small lounge area was very nice also and not forgetting our favourite coffee Costa.
I would have liked more tea bags and coffees as just 2 of each is a little bit tight maybe 3 would be better
The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff very friendly and helpful.
Not being able to open a window.
There was nothing to like about my stay at the premier inn
Selection of Beverages in the Bar is Poor. No Parking facilities if you arrive later in the day. The bed was uncomfortable. The desk staff made check inn and payment awkward to say the least. The list goes on ...................
All away from home comforts and needs were met.
Couldn't open windows which I understand from h&s point of view but I prefer fresh air.
Good location and handy restaurant.
Left stood waiting to ask the reception for a taxi number for almost 10 minutes whilst they chatted to the couple in front even after they had checked in. Parking isn't obvious and we had to navigate the one way system several times after driving past the car park.
The room was very good, we did ask for a ground floor room but we were put on the first floor, no problem.
Limited parking is very limited. We stayed two nights and parking was £16. Drink prices a bit steep but there's a Weathspoons near.
Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. Nothing was too much trouble for the young friendly staff. I was sorry to have to leave.
The hotel is new and the service is good.
The wifi costs GBP 3 but is extremely slow.
Room was clean and comfortable. Receptionist when I arrive was friendly and welcoming
They had run out of sachets of milk for the bedrooms and people had to go down to the bar to get fresh milk [although free of charge].Breakfast could have been better organised. I had to wait 10 minutes after being seated to place my order for a cooked breakfast and I was working and needed to be quick. They ran out of bread and did not replenish until someone asked them to and the same for the sachets of jam and marmalade. There did not seem enough staff to ensure it ran efficiently. When I left, the receptionist did not ask whether I'd had a good stay or how it had been - she appeared uninterested and unfriendly.
