we arrived about 4 hours early for check inn but asked if they could look after our case till 2pm.very pleasant friendly receptionist that dealt with our request asap.also change over at 3pm was also another lovely friendly, helpful, cheerful receptionist.made all the diference.1st impressions count.
had one evening meal & one breakfast.2 of the young lads could of been abit more better at seeing to tables quicker as it was quiet & more approachable to ask a question(ie: no bowls or waiting on more hot breakfast arriving in hot plate).one young chap very good & polite & helpful
Location & staff.
1. 2 extra beds which we did not need meant access to window & one side of main bed was impossible - never experienced such a poor arrangement before. 2. Unable to cater for the number of guests at breakfast.
Very peaceful comfortable night
Can't fault it!
The staff where really friendly even tho my 3 young boys were playing up , the staff help you out a lot and the breakfast was lovely and the kids eat free is brilliant
The family room should be bigger
The view of the river easy free parking
Signage into hotel parking from both directions could have been more promininent
Everything. The staff were particularly polite and helpful. The cooked breakfasts excellent, freshly cooked and not at all greasy as can happen. We will come again.
The hotel could have better drop off facilities for cars. There is "disabled parking" which you may to use drop off cases but it is usually full (we have been four times). Many modern city hotels have an area out front to drive in, drop off cases and then drive off to parking.
Comfortable,location and staff.
Parking problems on arrival and over our stay. Not enough parking available. Not enough staff at breakfast time.
the staff, the rooms were clean
Very convenient for folk festival, should have extra staff on to deal with the breakfast rush! One person to oversee as Maitre D would have been an idea. Super quorn sausages for veggies.
Though the folk festival never ran out off loo roll the premier inn did, also no handsoap in ladies loos. Staff should not have to be told, also bread for breakfast frozen.
Centre of town location. Yet very quiet and no outside noise. Ease of parking right outside hotel. Helpful, friendly staff. Excellent security. Large spacious (family) room. Big comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. Modern bathroom - spotless!!
Noisy, stompy neighbours in room above and loud banging came right through the floor all weekend - surprising. Staff said they would have dealt with it if I had complained. Don't really see how they could have done anything though.
Hard mattrass central lights did not work reception did not answer phone no free car park
Location and very friendly receptionist .
Was woken up by the fire alarm which is acceptable but it was silenced then activated again this continued for approx 5 minutes.
Room n breakfast v nice
Alarms during d nite
no services re food coffee etc available during day parking expensive and confined
Amy - the efficient and very helpful receptionist. Clean and tidy PI. Close to the places to visit including the Castle, Abbey and Museum. Also it's a very short walk from the rail station
The noise made by people in the room above mine - it sounded like children running riot. Also there appeared to be water running down from the room above in my bathroom. The mind boggles!!! But not really the fault of PI
I like a soft pillow, next time will bring my own. Not a problem
Comfortable rooms and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was very good quality and plenty to choose from.
Not enough tea/coffee in rooms. Staff seemed a little stressed at breakfast - probably due to the flower show making it full to capacity but young front of house staff managed very well.
Standard of room was faultless. Staff friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Lack of parking a major issue
Comfortable beds. Pleasant Staff. Food in restaurant very nice and service excellent too. Would stay again no problem.
Would have liked to opened the windows sometimes. Maybe a box of Tissues in room.
cleanliness inside hotel big towels
No place to set down / pickup. Ridiculously large building garret set between car park and main road. Poorly lit smelly car park back entrance Staff pleasant when around - had to keep waiting for them Staff pleasantly multitasking but failing to provide immediate service Realise this chain is only interested in the bottom line and will be wary of booking again with them. Paid an outrageous £97 - just not worth half of that
Such wonderful young helpful staff. Extremely helpful and pleasant. I was so proud of them I wanted to be young again. A credit to themselves and their mentors.
Charge for the carpark is something I am not used to, it is normally free. But given the town centre location accepted it as an inconvenient compromise.
Reception staff are useless , took half an hour to check in because they have a self booking computer that does not work, not one of them had a clue ,
It was my first time in a Premier Inn and I have to say I was very impressed with the hotel. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast including Costa Coffee. Considering this is a city centre location I had a great night's sleep as the hotel was very quiet. The staff were exceptional. I think Premier Inns are great for short term stays.
The parking facilities are limited and it is difficult to locate the Premier Inn car park and others close by - better directions would help. I felt the reception area could be a little more welcoming in design.
Reception staff very helpful.
Restaurant service as above. Long waits for food, which arrived luke warm in evening. At breaakfast, having to wait for refilled cooked food trays.
friendly staff comfortable rooms breakfasts
car park not easy to find, narrow bays and expensive, £8 per day
