Score from 1366 reviews Very good
This Premier Inn offers modern, spacious rooms in Southampton’s lively city centre. The on-site restaurant serves all-you-can-eat breakfasts, and the West Quay Shopping Centre is 0.6 miles away.
Score from 705 reviews Good
Just off junction 2 of the M27, only half a mile (800 m) from Paultons Park family theme park, the hotel offers great value, with free parking and spacious, modern en suite rooms.

location and cleanliness,comfortable beds.
Very clean comfortable bed and friendly staff.
doors closing woke me up as they are difficult to close quietly.
Clean spacious room. Secure main door entry. Handy for port 10 mins away, and cheaper than port side premier inn.
No room phone to call reception staff and zero mobile network reception so unable to book table for breakfast or even text husband in room next door! Banging from upstairs in morning but thankfully awake by then. Expensive to stay with 3 children, as always have to book 2 rooms
Good location for visiting Pepa Pig World
Was well placed for my needs North and cheaper than the dock side places. also free parking.
Paying for Wi-fi these days is crazy. was free in the beefeater which it is on the same site.Is it to keep me in the pub? No shaving point in bathroom. A real negative as I needed to charge razor and toothbrush during a 4 day stay, never thought i would have to take to a hotel with a full charge, it was not a camping trip!
Friendly staff, check in was quick and easy. Lovely lady gave our little one a colouring book and crayons. Spacious room. Tea and coffee facilities. Great television. Good lighting. Ground floor which was ideal with a toddler. Breakfast was very good. Also we had an evening meal which was also good. Very friendly staff in restaurant. All staff that we met at this hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Ideally situated to visit Paultons Park/Peppa Pig world. Lovely local pub nearby (Four Horseshoes). Can definitely recommend this hotel.
Stains on bedroom ceiling, looked like something had been splashed. Looked very dried on. A fridge in the room would have been ideal but that's just being picky. The room was very hot but there was a fan.
Friendly staff Modern clean room
Staff was very helpful in all ways
bit far out from town
spacious room, lovely breakfast next door
Being asked to go to our own room because we were being too noisy. To be fair, he had a point. We had been to a family get together....the first in 20 years.
A very family friendly hotel, helpful and happy staff. At the Beefeater next door, staff very welcoming and child friendly. Great choices of food and good value for money. Children enjoyed choosing from their Owen menu. Would stay agin.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful
My room was too hot so the thick duvet was too much.
Staff were excellent and service great
Location, Premier Inn was very easy to find, even after a long journey from Wales. Also enjoyed meals in the Balmoral. Staff there were friendly and helpful. A ground floor room in the annex was ideal for us. Car park was right next to annex, not too far to carry luggage.
Only 1 hand towel supplied for 2 people! had to ask for a second. No hair dryer in room, had to collect one from reception. Only 1 person on reception at 2pm when most people checking in, so had to stand in queue to check in. No air conditioning. Over priced for a budget hotel.
Room very clean. Bed very very comfortable and excellent staff who greeted us. Also Restuarant The Balmoral was excellent ...
Excellent restaurant and food
The room was new with comfortable beds. Would suggest ask for downstairs room as it should be cooler
No phone to reception which was on a separate building. Room was too hot, no aircon. Fan supplied as after thought. Only one key issued when I asked for a 2nd key first one was cancelled. Partner a smoker, going outside for cigarette meant I stayed in the dark or had to go downstairs to let him back in. Room too hot for duvet provided. Top sheet was provided after going across to reception. Only one staff on duty in the evening. Long wait for service.
Liked the location, also the food was veery good at the Balmoral Beefeater, David the breakfast manager was particularly helpful.
I did not sleep. The bed was too hard and the room was too hot, unable to get any fresh air in the window which was restricted too much.
The bed, it is quiet.
Air conditioning would have been great
Good value for money was a lot better than expected, ended up having breakfast aswell which was really good & kids eat free!
The door lock to the room was easily unlocked and opened by both my children (aged 1 year and 3 years old) from the inside so I wasn't able to leave them alone to even have a shower. Also my 3 year old was able to open the window which although it was not able to be opened fully was still a safety risk and could not turn my back on them for a second. Therefore I was not able to rest nor sleep well as I feared they would wake in the middle of the night and leave the room or try and get out the window. Also on arriving to the hotel we booked in but was advised to go straight to the restaurant if we wanted to eat as they were busy that evening and with the two kids wanted to make sure they had some food. We did not get into the room until 8pm when I noticed that the single bed for my eldest had not been made up. This was so frustrating as I just wanted to get them settled and in bed. I had to phone reception who came up and made the bed. When I made the booking I did state on booking.com that there was one adult and two children aged 1 and 3. It had been a long day and on my own with two children I just wanted to get to bed. I strongly suggest you look into the safety aspect of the family rooms as a toddler could easily escape if parents/carers are unaware of how easy it is for them to open the door - my one year old could open it!!!
Easy to get to from M27, room was very clean tidy and warm had a good nights sleep, breakfast was good and plenty to eat. Had dinner in the Beefeater next door and it was excellent, lots to choose from the meanue and prices were very good.Would stay in this Premier inn again
The price of the room is higher when there are things on in the area, Boat show, the Beaulieu autojumble, motor cycle autojumble Morton mash
Comfortable, quiet room, away from the city, lovely area. excellent pub attached.
Room far too hot.!
