This historic hotel, built in 1779, has free parking and an excellent location about 650 ft from Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth Harbour Train Station, Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower.
Score from 981 reviews Good
The Seacrest Hotel is situated on Southsea's seafront, looking out over award-winning gardens to the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
Score from 237 reviews Very good
This 4-star hotel is just off highway A27, with easy access to Portsmouth, and highways M27 and A3(M). It has luxury rooms, affordable on-site parking and a modern gym, refurbished in July 2009.
Score from 410 reviews Good
This modern hotel is in the middle of Portsmouth, just 1700 ft from Portsmouth and Southsea Train Station. The Ibis Hotel Portsmouth has a 24-hour snack menu, on-site parking and a stylish restaurant....
Score from 1400 reviews Good
free car parking, clean rooms, cleaning staff very helpfull, nice location
i told booking staff i had a fractured ancle and our room was at the very far end of the corridor away from the entrance. Our grandaughter waited half an hour the first night for her starter and the same for her soft egg next morning so we ate out after that all the time
Friendly staff, good breakfast, right on the beach
Great place to stay of you are visiting the Naval Base and Old Portsmouth. Some good quality bistro restaurants close by. Free parking at hotel, but get there early to guarantee a space. Large pay car park next door. Hotel a bit pricey for a Premier Inn but considering the location we were not dissapointed. Also very close to the hovercraft to IOW.
On the sea front so easy access to walks and sea views during breakfasts
Noise from revving engines and squealing brakes during the evenings on two of the days.
now there is air con this makes it a perfect place to stay - so much going on - perfect for walking or just watching the sips go by
Hotel was within easy walking distance of shipyard and Gun wharf Quay shopping centre. Parking was free and easy - we walked everywhere. Rooms were surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to a funfair.
The attached Brewers Fayre restaurant didn't look very inviting but there were plenty of alternatives within easy reach
Guarantee a goods night sleep....no way we thought but oh yes! We ALL did! Spacious, room, good facilities. Lovely breakfast. Lovely smilely staff!
More, coffee sachets please but really everything was great.
Good size room. Very comfortable bed. Clean, good sized bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff. Location of hotel.
The view from our room wasn't great this time. Could be better choice for Continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast was not self service on Sunday until later which was a bit annoying.
Just on pier and hover craft jetty.
The hotel reception staff very kind, helpful and obliging.
The brewers fair was very poor, food and plates were cold and they kept running out of items (food etc) you couldn't even enjoy the food or drink (if you found anything) with all the noise from screaming children running all over the place we would recommend the hotel but definately not the restaurant it was also very understaffed. They even ran out of hot chocolate powder my grandson was most upset.
Staff, rooms, food.
No lights above/by single bed so unable to read in bed.
Premier Inns are Premier Inns and you know what you are going to get. This is no different only the bar has a lot of childrem in it and feels like butlins.
covered car park, friendly staff, god breakfast.
The staff were excellent, very close to everywhere
Hearing people above you walking about the room like its a dance floor ! Not good at 3am!,
Easy to find and parking at premier inn. Clean and spacious room. Brewers pub next door?..good menu and reasonably priced
Nothing this premier inn ticked all the boxes for a three night stay to explore Portsmouth. Basic but al facilities close by.
everyone was happy to see us we felt like the only guests there
Location Easy parking
Friendly welcome, great room as normal.
The restaurant and staff need a wakeup call, poor service and poor quality and presentation of the food in the restaurant.
Hotel was within easy walking distance to all events at Portsmouth, hovercraft to IoW and other ferries. The staff at the Premier Inn and in the Brewers Fayre were brilliant.
A bit noisy from the funfair but it did stop at about 2100hrs.
Great for Portsmouth historic harbour, very friendly staff. Rooms very comfortable
everything was of a very high standard. The Receptionist was very helpfull and friendly, which added to make our break, special .Thankyou
Comfortable bed. Knowledgeable and welcoming staff at desk. Free parking.
Property feels cramped and dated. Other Premier Inns feel fresher and newer. Restaurant floor and carpet is dirty, which makes wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen.
Reception was very friendly and helpful with parking hints and organising a baby bed for us and even a phone recharger! Most comfortable bed of our month long trip and we enjoyed the playground in the restaurant at breakfast. The first time I got to drink a coffee in peace in months.
The fun park near by was a bit shabby but the kids still had fun and the people who came from there to the bar in the evening were a bit dodgy.
Hotel was right near the sea front which meant we didn't have far to walk to enjoy the sights of Southsea. I had never been to that area before and was very pleased with my choice. Staff were very helpful when we asked about local amenities. The town was a short walk away. The locals we spoke to in and around the area were really friendly. Would definitely go again.
We really enjoyed out stay here close to the seafront and central to everything good to have brewers fayre so close to
