that the room was near a fire door and every time someone went through it you could hear it bang. it needs to be open and magnets fitted to release if firearms go off.also we had disturbed sleep as the occupants above were walking about in the night and their floor boards creaked .

Excellent location. Food (breakfast) very good.

Weather!!

I was extremely busy during the evenings and the staff from the restaurant brought my evening meal order up to my room. The lady on reception was extremely helpful also

room was absoloutely freezing cold that was with extra duvets provided. noisy room.

room was excellent all we wanted comfort for a brillant price, staff were polite helpful couldn't do enough always had a smile on there faces!

Sunday carvery at 5pm, only turkey and beef available (gammon finished). Beef tasted awful. Quality of carvery not great. I guess would be better at lunchtime.

The convenience of the location

It was very noisy at night lots of banging from the room above, the bed was not very comfortable, and the quilt was like sleeping under an unyielding mattress.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. one of the ladies even provided us with a map when we asked her where a certain place we were looking for was

Outside decor was in need of painting. It did not look inviting at all.

Not enough tea and coffee in the room. Had to make our own tea at breakfast. Most places bring you a pot to the table. The queue at lunch time at the partner restaraunt was far too long with only two staff on the bar/meal order section. This was a busy Bank Holiday weekend ans spoilt our lunch having to queue so long.

Its convenience to Old Portsmouth/dockyard and Gun Wharf Quays for the shops Evening meal very good and well priced.

Music base noise from the funfare which when windows need to be open in the summer must be horrendous.Would not want to stay here in the summer because of this. Continuous low hum from hallway wall heater/s which affected both of us when trying to get to sleep.

The lovely position of Hotel, the good food, kind staff and overall ambience of the Premier.

Location is excellent, right next to Clarence Pier on sea front. Also easy access to buses and within walking distance of Old Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays. Rooms are spacious, having everything you need as in general with premier travel inns, but see noise problem in dislikes. If breakfasts are a bit too pricey for guests, you can always get a good reasonable full breakfast or bacon sarny from the cafe on the other side of the carpark. Friendly service too - even though he was a Portsmouth supporter who gave us Bury supporters some stick.

Room 1a was directly beneath the second floor laundry room. For a period of about 1hour each morning - approx 9am till 10am, the noise of large trollies being wheeled about and what sounded like driers from above was unbearable. Also, although there was an indoor car park which had closed circuit tv I presume, it no longer had barriers on and so was not as secure in my opinion as on previous stays. The drinks menu for doubling up on shorts at £1.25 was confusing and I ended up paying through the nose for mixers.

Staff were excellent, food was good. They honour their promise, if you don't get a good nights sleep you get a refund.

The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Both rolled to the middle, had to put the pillows between us to keep us apart. New mattresses had been fitted to all beds, just weren't quality mattresses. Was in reception at 4am to complain, staff were great though.

Cramped car park Second child bed reported to be uncomfortable. Broken soap dispenser in bathroom.

The hotel was very clean and located centrally for what we wanted. An enjoyable stay.

I used the special instructions box to as for a room that overlooked the sea for the kids. We were given such a room but it was first floor and all they could see was the roof of the downstairs and the building next door. The next floor up would of been better and I did specify this in the instructions. When you have kids its important to keep them happy, especially on a leisure break.

The staff were fantastic particularly the receptionist she could not do enough to help. I was lost she talked me in, delivered an iron and board promptly and a printed out e mail that was urgent. Waiter very attentive.
