Wish I had known about the refurbishment as would have asked to be on a floor where no painting was being done.
Comfortable beds, large room size(room 6), great shower facilities. Nice bar area to relax in, reasonably priced drinks. Restaurant looked and smelt good. Great location for Trentham Gardens and Stoke area. Stones throw from TGIs and other food places etc.
I wasn't overly keen on the sink being in the main bedroom, however we were in a disabled room so I understand it may be due to that.
The waiting staff were particularly helpful
It is difficult to find a comfortable position to watch TV. The TV is too high up and there is no easy chair, only the straight-backed desk chair.
Room was a bit hot, with no alternative to full duvet
I liked the way we were received staff showing good manners. Also found that members of staff were pleased to help us over any minor matters
Lovely sized room clean & comfortable. Good quality bedding.
Kettle did not work, not noticed untill morning.
As always the beds in Premier Inn were very comfortable. Breakfasts were good and appetising.
Having to pay after 1/2 hour for wifi
clean comfortable good service friendly staff
It's a WYSIWYG experience - standards of service are good and usually achieved.
Temperature in the room was too high and altering the thermostat had no effect - so didn't get a good night's sleep. Most places provide free Wi-Fi now, so it's time Premier did too - or get left behind.
My check in was handled efficiently and well. The staff were excellent in every way.My room was spacious and quiet. If you have to visit a patient at Stoke hospital then it's an easy 10 min drive away.Highly recommended.
Free wifi would be good.
Even though the fire alarm went off for everyone at 2am due to another guest's fault (shower steam), Premier Inn refunded our night's stay immediately. Also, the night worker dealing with the situation remained calm and smiley, and got people in from the cold when it was realised that there was no actual fire.
Everything except below
Wi if is free in every retail outlet in the country why do you charge even small cafés and pubs do not charge. Why was your bar shut at 11.30? Even for residents staff too lazy? Ridiculous a lovely bar in a good hotel shut!
Excellent, if somewhat pricey breakfast. Helpful friendly staff Comfortable public areas
Hairdryer removed awaiting replacement Needs a hook/rail by sink to hang hand towel WiFi access restricted to 30 mins free and this time is not paused when you disconnect so all is used even if only 5 mins spent on line once connected.
This hotel was perfect for a weekend wind down prior to Christmas. Shopping village. Ice-skating. Restaurants and a walk around Trentham gardens.
Only one little thing. The wind blew through a gap in the window seal. Shame as everything else was great.
Loved the meal deal great great food.Great nights sleep well pleased :)
Problem with flushing the loo in room 138 . several lights not working
The poor quality of food presented. On arrival we were offered the evening meal & breakfast offer at 22.99. I ordered the 'hunters chicken' which was served chicken Breast burnt on both sides and quite inedible. In the morning I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and grilled tomatoes. A tablespoon of cold scrambled eggs, a rubbery rasher of bacon with tomatoes grilled on top and cold below was not very appetising. Needless to say we didn't dine in for the rest of our stay. lift
the helpful receptionist who arranged for flowers to be delivered to my room as a surprise for my daughter
the glass bathroom door .. my teenage niece was staying in a room with her uncle and cousin, the doors are NOT opaque! it was not acceptable for her to stay in the room as this glass gave NO privacy, therefore she had to bed down on the floor in my room .. which already housed two adults and my 11yr old daughter. We then had to use two clothes carriers to obscure the view. Ridiculous design!!
The hotel was comfortable, the staff were very helpful and the food was great.
Noisy heater in room.
Staff help and evening meal excellent.
No phones in room, so had to go to reception to seek help with TV. No 'hook'to hang hand towel near sink area. Room with disabled access at very far end of ground floor corridor.
busy rd on one side of hotel (like all Premier inns)
Friendly staff , comfy bed , clean and good value. Breakfast is very good .
No hairdryer in room .
I liked the room size, the comfy bed, the black-out curtains, the choice of pillows, the way they really try hard to please.
The fan in the bathroom which didn't have an off button (unlike the AC); hearing water gurgling in the pipes from other customers, which woke me at 4.45am. I'm a light sleeper and there's nothing they can do about plumbing I suppose.
Size of room, comfort of bed. Cleanliness, tv.
Elec sockets :need more of them and they need to be near to the bed not on the other side of the room. Really inconvenient. Charging for wi-fi? A Real deal breaker in terms of future bookings.
Breakfast staff helpful. Staff ofdfered to put bed on blocks. Didn't accept as not worth it for one night.
Smell. Had to open window and leave it open for some time to get rid of it. Also discovered that I could have paid a good deal less for the room if \I had left booking until the last minute.
