The Staff & Food
21 April 2015
The room and the corridors smelled strongly of fried food. It was hot and even opening the window did not help as the smell came in from the kitchen outside. It was noisy- the walls are paper thin as we could hear everything in the next door rooms. In the morning, we were woken up at 5.30am by the sound of cups, plates and cutlery being put out in the pub below. We could hear staff preparing food and talking. By the time the noise died down in the evening and started again in the morning we had next to no sleep.

A visitor who is a regular ie several times a week and disabled smoked right outside reception/entrance doors. He took delight in notice saying "no smoking on these premises" and took that to mean in the restaurant etc. I am a legal secretary and premises are usually the entire curtilage of a property not just a small bit. Just because the gentleman was disabled does not give him authority or rights to smoke so close to reception, His friends took delight in closing the reception/entrance doors which were open as it was a very warm day thus cutting off the fresh air for the receptionists. I said I would mention this as just because the gentleman is a regular does not give him rights to ignore the Company requests/mandates. Please pass this on to the Area Manager for this site as I know the receptionists were somewhat frustrated by this gentleman and his friends' attitudes.
Location of restaurant, very handy indeed though restaurant toilets were a disgrace and did notify the manager of this

Helpful staff very relaxed atmosphere.

The evening meal deep fried prawns were fatty, the pie was all pastry. The breakfast choice was poor and there were no healthy options. The floor was dirty.
The bed was comfortable, beclothes were clean and water was hot. The disabled alarm mis-functioned in the night.

The Breakfast was poorly-cooked and rather artificial; the room was gloomy
Location was very handy and also quite pretty; staff were very pleasant, by and large

Warm and friendly welcome from Reception. Nice room overlooking the park, clean and to the standard of Premier Inn/Travelodge. Enjoyed breakfast on both days in the Brewers Fayre next door. Have to give a special mention to the lady on duty both mornings when we went for breakfast as she was very good. The food was hot and re-stocked constantly. Thank you.

lack of cubes, the ice available suitable for children.lack of relaxation area when waiting for guests, or just having a quiet drink.
the friendliness of the staff.

The shower was over the bath so inaccessible to my less able wife without risk of falling. The bathroom fan was noisy. For nighttime use it is a good idea to fit very dim low level LED lights so one can visit the toilet without disturbing ones's partner. Breakfast was patchy with stale croisants and rather elderly fruit salad. The evening menu looked dire. Walking into the town centre was unpleasant involving a rather nasty bridge, not the hotel's fault but menas the location is less suitable. The hotel reception screen was very difficult for the receptionist to use making check-in rather tedious.
The bedoom was good with a good bed and enough chairs. The car-park was hidden away and covered by security cameras. The cooked breakfast was made to order.

Comfy room, nice shower, good "all you can eat" breakfast, very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed for 5 nights and have nothing negative to say about the place.

Nothing - everything was just right
The greeting when I arrived was really lovely - I felt welcome. The breakfast staff were willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I had exactly what I wanted. The food was very nice indeed. The morning receptionist was very helpful, printing a map to help me find where I was going.

The staff was excellent, the location was great and the room was nice and spacious!

We had trouble with the wifi, and the staff were very helpful. Also, on a personal note, I don't like muzak, which is throughout the hotel. I am a musician, and whilst I love music, I don't enjoy background easy listening stuff. Background classical music playing quietly would be much more calming for me.
We liked the helpfulness of the staff and the fact that we could get refreshments until quite late at night. The continental breakfast was wonderful...lots of fresh fruit salad and plain yogurts, etc.

Loss of electrical power to the hotel for about 90 minutes in the evening.
Location-near to Stroud centre. Staff-very friendly and knowledgeable.

Beds too hard for an old timer like me.
Such friendly staff, very helpful, very smiley, very efficient.
14 October 2014
An over-bath shower in a 'disabled access' room in a very narrow bath. A very low bed for a 'disabled access' room - if leg muscles are poor it is very difficult to get out of it. Lighting poor for reading purposes away from the desk
Clean and simple. Friendly and efficient staff. Easy parking and good access to room. Quiet night.

cheerfulness of staff.always ready to give advice especially as we have never stayed in aPremier inn before.Plenty of notices reminding people to keep noise down to a minimum in the sleeping area.
