Staff went out if their way to assist us. We had cakes for a wedding bake off & they helped make sure we got them in a fridge for safe keeping. Very much appreciated. & my cake won a prize!!
We had a power cut sat am. Fortunately power was back in time to get ready for our friends wedding. We missed bacon & sausage at breakfast due to power cut!
good sized room the pub in connection with the hotel was good
We were given a room in the lower groundfloor facing a slope. Result: lack of daylight and a feeling of dampness. Nothing dried. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom (sour, unwashed smell)
Staff super helpful and friendly :)
No fridge in the room and the breakfast is to expensive for what it is
Excellent staff, very good customer service. Breakfast was fantastic! Good value for money and would definitely stay again.
Could have been a little cleaner.
Fantastic sized room. Very unusual and quaint. Wish I had more time to enjoy it.
Location and value + friendly and helpful staff..
Would have liked free wi-fi. Discovered toilet leaking underneath - had no overflow pipe fitted inside. Was fixed soon after reporting this - but original fittings not right.
The hotel was very welcoming. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The family atmosphere was great as was the food!
The stairs! We are getting a bit older now and the cases seem to be getting heavier when I know they are smaller!
Good size room
The greeting from the reception was friendly and engaging. Having confirmed arrangements for my stay and taken some details of the person who was sharing the room, I was assured that everything would be tickety boo. Nice clean sheets and no fuss. A good choice for a self-service breakfast.
I was offered a double when I had booked a twin. The eating aspect of the hotel (a Brewer's Fayre outlet) provided almost zero accommodation for anyone at the hotel wanting to have a drink without eating (six seats out of a couple of hundred?). The breakfast cooking was poor and the cooked food was not served hot. The plate warmer was also not operative (or at least effective). (Why can't breakfast chefs fry an egg with a soft yolk option?)
Great position opposite Sratford park
Staff were very helpful and my room was very comfortable.
Far too warm in the hotel.Only 1 towel and room not very clean
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Inn was not signposted from the way we came into Stroud. The Brewers Fayre signs were the only ones we noticed.
Perfect location, good food, large comfy bed, friendly helpful staff & fair prices. Loved the fantastic park which was directly opposite the hotel. Very relaxing environment. The large but out of site Tesco Xtra next door was a real bonus!
Can't think of anything we didn't like.
Very friendly staff
As we are quite old we found carrying our luggage up several flights of stairs very exhausting.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful - can't fault them, and our room spotlessly clean.
The area (with adjoining Tesco car park and main road is a magnet for boy racers and on the first night of our stay the terrible screaming exhausts went on until the early hours.......as did the buzzer on reception to admit late guests and the subsequent banging of entrance doors. It was hot when we stayed and the choice was to leave the tiny "un-openable" windows open two inches or endure the noise of the portable fan as well as the boy racers. We found the "toiletries" mean and as neither of us has a degree in mechanical engineering, the shower was almost impossible to operate. We did get refunded on one nights stay according to Premier Inn's policy, but doubt we'll stay again.
the food and a quiet room
, poor bed lights a second armchair would be better
Room was very spacious, bed extremely comfortable and overall stay was very good. We ate in the pub the previous evening and the food was very good.
Everything was excellent apart from the scrambled eggs at breakfast! Other breakfast items were perfect!
the staff were first class really friendly and help full
noise and bad language in adjacent car park in the early hours of the morning each night.
staff extremely helpful. room clean. good choice of breakfast. good parking facilities.
bed very hard-had to sleep on duvet. very mean with coffee and tea in room. no water or tissues. room next to bar so had noise in corridor after midnight. road also noisy.
The receptionist was amazing best customer service ever. Great breakfast.
Did not have a good night sleep due to a banging door and noisy people .from the pub.
Location excellent, all staff deserve full credit for outstanding attitude and service at all times. Liked that kids under 16 eat free at breakfast.
It's a listed building so no lifts, plus no air conditioning which meant the room was stifling. You can only open the windows a crack which was an issue in the heat. Needs an upgrade if the interior decor but overall good value for money. The jewel in the crown here is the staff.
Large double beds. reception staff were friendly and pleasant. Good breakfast
Extra beds in family rooms too small, especially as we said it was for four adults and they were not made up as requested by email and phone. My sisters lock was broken and they could not get out of the room, there were no maintenance staff to help and after an hour (the room was stifling) and (with hotel staff giving permission my partner had to kick in the door, this is a health an safety problem as hotel knew the lock was broken I will be writing to premier inn head office about this situation. It took an hour to get them out of there, had there been a fire this would have been very dangerous, also it was lucky that there was other family in the hotel as there is no phone in the room to call reception and no member of staff strong enough to get into the room. My booking references are AJYR 56782/56513/57853. We had 6 x rooms booked.
there was nothing to not like
just one thing a couple came down just after breakfast had finished all they wanted was coffee they were told they would have to wait till bar opened at 11.as a resident I would have asked for the manager and made a complaint.
