Restaurant attached. Access to major roads.

The room was constantly cold and despite repeatedly complaining it did not improve. The door keys continuously stopped working. The tea/coffee supplies were not automatically replenished. Only bath towels, and one hand towel

Staff were great

The room was clean, fresh, nicely decorated and quiet at night (on the car park side). Tea and coffee facilities and TV in the room. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful giving us extra tea and milk when we asked and generally making us feel welcome.

The room was chilly when we arrived and took a while to warm up, and we only had one large and one small towel for 2 people. Small quibbles in an otherwise excellent stay.

It was very clean with a good sized room. The bathroom was spotless. The food next door at the restaurant was good value for money and the premier breakfast choice was good.

One of the two teaspoons provided was not clean. Only one towel provided for two of us. No phone in the room so had to walk back to reception to get another towel. Coincidentally, our room was as far as possible from reception too.

Reasonably priced, friendly welcome at reception. Room very comfortable with recently updated modern fascilities. Placed close to The Stadium of Light for the football match.

Best Premier inn ive stayed in. Staff in restaurant next door were friendly, chatty, helpful and cudnt do enough to make stay as good as possible. I was very impressed.

I got food poisoning on the first night, due to pate which was off. We were turned out of the hotel on the second evening due to a fire alarm, which proved false. Apparently this is not uncommon at this hotel, and it seems the smoke detectors are over-sensitive.

The staff where extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you!

The cost was driven up due to it being the great north run.

Friendliness of staff at reception , Lovely clean rooms wittj everything you need , the brewers fare pub connected to next door was excellent , good atmosphere , friendly staff and good value for money meals .

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Easy to get to and close to bird reserve and country park. Very quiet at night.

Views from bedrooms are of carpark or walls of buildings. Reception not very obvious from outside.

A very warm welcome on arrival from the the staff member at reception. Free Car parking just fine and no bother to find a place except after 6.00pm. Directions to the room and facilities well explained and easy to find. Room beautifully airy clean and spotless bedding etc. Bathroom immaculate with towels etc. Double Bed raised higher than the usual beds you find in hotels. Ideal for the mature couple when climbing in and out. The adjacent facility of the Brewes Farye for your meals is easy access and not expensive,.i.e. Breakfast at £8.25 per person and as much as you can eat.Evening meal with a wide choice of veggie and meat/fish dishes at reasonable prices. A good base to have whilst visiting Sunderland for the Football and city centre attractions. A return visit is a must to a comfortable hotel with very helpful staff..

Just a little bit difficult late at night to park, however its a good sign for the hotel of a good place when the car park is full.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, from the friendliness and welcome of the staff. I stomgly recommend this hotel

My room was at the side of the main road passing south of the hotel and that was very noisy.

Super friendly staff.Room was large with a huge TV.Spottlessly clean.Even had a woman who was leaving the Brewers Fayre with her baby daughter offer us a lift to a bar which happened to be close to where she was going.She kindly dropped us off.Special thanks to you if your reading this.Great weekend had watching the RHCP!!Thanks Phil and Shelley

It was alittle out of the way from the city centre and cost us roughly £10 in a taxi to and from town.The other Premier Inn that was closer but was fully booked up along with every hotel in town due to the rhcp gig at the Stadium of Light.

Staff were very friendly. This was our first time in Sunderland and they were very helpful when we were arranging for us (both disabled) to get to the stadium for the gig.

Staff were very friendly unlike the other Premier Inn at the next roundabout who I found terribly sour faced when we dropped in there by mistake! Rooms were quiet, well kitted out and very comfortable. Nothing too much trouble for staff! Only downside for me was it 's a bit out of Sunderland and costs about £8 - £12 for taxi trip one way........also it's attached to a Brewers Fayre where breakfast was just terrible.....soggy, fatty and cold although I was told it was made fresh for me! £8.95 for all you can eat breakfast.....must make a huge profit from that ! Would stay again but only for the hotel side........not the Brewers Fayre!

Since my last visit, the rooms have all been renovated and the standard is very good. Staff, as always, were exceptional.
