The staff in reception were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating when we arrived. We'd booked 3 rooms at different times and they were trying to arrange us so that we were close together and not spread out. Helpful with directions, as well. The bar/restaurant and cleaning staff were all also very friendly and helpful. Very close to the city centre, lovely views of the waterfront and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very well priced for what you can have. Parking overnight is £5.50 which isn't bad! There is also a Tesco express right next door. Couldn't fault it in any way.
Location. Room was comfortable and clean enough.
Having to pay for wifi...most hotels these days have it included in the price of your stay. Car parking was £5.50 a day! Not impressed with the Beefeater restaurant...dirty plates, breakfast yoghurts out of date, short of staff over the Xmas period...waited 80 mins for an evening meal and we had a child with us.
Convector heater very poor took ages to heat the room up. Parking was an extra £5.50 !
Visited Swansea during the Christmas time. Beautiful view in front of hotel. Close to the town center. And lots of parking space next to the hotel with reasonable fees (coins only). Breakfast was very good.
All staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Parking in the dark and then walking in the rain. And being charged £5.50 for 12 hours, which meant you couldn't have a boxing day sleep in.
Location was excellent for us, quiet but easy walking distance to bars and restaurants, marina etc.
Bed a bit hard
The view is very nice, and the room was clean and sunny. Very nice design - non aggresive and cosy. Nutrious breakfast with sufficient dish veriety.
The reception number - couldn't find it anywhere in the room or on or near the telephone. Had to come down to reception myself - pls make this small improvement :)
Shop next door was handy .
Decorators began work early morning of departure .
Ease of booking in. Very Friendly Staff Clean rooms
The place was to hot could not open window I didn't get much sleep because I was to hot
breakfasts good choice of food
The shower was amazing
No mirror infront of desk/dressing table sat on the floor to make up and stood up to dry hair would of preferred a nicer view
Location Comfort of room Housekeeping
Paying for wifi Bathroom fixtures tired Poor experience in Beefeater restaurant- dirty plates at breakfast, understaffed, yoghurts out of date, poor cleanliness particularly in toilets, waited 90 mins for an evening meal! Very disappointed with the whole eating experience. This should be a matter of concern for Premier Inn.
Location was lovely overlooking the marina. Perfectly quiet and only a short walk into Swansea Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful when we needed them, even at 1.30am! Good selection of food at breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable for the four of us.
Beds were disappointing. The double felt lumpy and was not as comfortable as other Premier Inns we've stayed in. The put you up single bed was just about passable for my 4 year old but I wouldn't put my 12 year old or an adult in it. Far too uncomfortable. Parking is ok but it's a pain that you have to put more money in the pay and display machine at 7.30am. Be warned though, the attendent is there at 7.30am so don't be late!
Good location Bed Comfy Hotel new and modern No Complaints very happy I would stay again
Location close to city centre without being right in it, so more quiet. Clean, comfortable bed, good food. Very helpfull and friendly staff.
Hotel was clean and quiet in a very nice location.
It is unacceptable not to have free wifi in 2014.
I've been to swansea with my boyfriend to visit some friends. The waterfront view was fantastic! In spite of the cold weather, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean with big windows. We had a hairdryer, which we did not ask from reception. Receptionist was helpful.
The front desk being on the first floor rather than the main entrance, which is strange for a hotel and which I do not usually see in other hotels.
Location and restaurant
Premier continues to try to charge for wifi so I always choose hotels that offer free wifi. 30 minutes is pathetic
Good sized room and comfortable bed. Good shower.
After driving for 8 hours - to walk in to a reception with no people and only self-service booking-in was unwelcome. Worse, the user interface is poor, screen after screen of input before it would complete. The TV in the room was washed out .. the colour was shot. The wi-fi is very poor, kept dropping out which is unacceptable if you've paid for it. The beefeater next door, which is part of the same Whitbread company - aaaggghh - a burger and chips served on a rectangle of wood - just stupid - give me a plate so I can move the food around. So, I won't be using Premier Inn again - And I don't believe Lenny Henry actually stays in them :-)
Lovely location just by waterfront.
We weren't aware when booking that the premier inn was undergoing interior maintenance work (although was stated on website but we missed it!) The maintenance had started on the 5th floor. We were given a room on the 5th floor and the smell of paint was unbearable. We asked to be moved as we both suffered headaches due to the paint fumes. We understand that to maintain standards that maintenance needed to be done. But they should have closed the 5th floor whilst the paint settled, it all comes down to greed! We also booked a room for two and were only given 1 towel and had to ask for more. All rather a pain when you just want to relax on a nights stay that cost £79!!
Cleanliness and modern style
Parking payable, and only with coins
This is a nice quiet location with a tesco's next to it so very convenient. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff are helpful.
The parking is a little difficult to understand. It would be helpful if parking costs were explained by the Premier Inn. We had a problem with our heating which meant the room was cold, but we have stayed here before with no problems at all.
Ease of check in outstandingly helpful night staff with excellent local knowledge. A great comfort as I had just left my husbands hospital bed and was very tired. Sometimes its the small things that make a difference...kind words and the offer of assistance above and beyond their duty made my stay so comfortable.
