The staff were very pleasant and the room was comfortable and large, the bathroom was spacious and the shower was powerful.
Everything about the premier inn was fab and the rooms are modern and clean
The attitude and service of the staff in the neighbouring beefeater left a lot of room for improvement. They seemed to put the customer second shall we say !
Nice comfortable room with a nice bed as always.
Breakfast not really great.
Beds and quiet always good that's why I pick premier inn. Value for money. Good location for my needs
No hair dryer in room & No phone & No mobile signal. So had to walk from far end of hotel to ask reception for a hair dryer! Because no phone signal and no room phone couldn't call home. Major inconvenience. Brewers Fayre food not good. No buffet breakfast was disappointing (helps me be on time when working away ).
Bed was very comfy pleasant friendly staff
no hairdryer in room
Staff and room
Foam filled pillows
Convenient for my need.
Heating is inadequate for a large room; one small electric convector heater; control turns it off too often and resets it to low temp default at night and when you are out, so room is cold in the morning. Bed is not so comfortable as 'Lenny Henry' would have us believe. Told additional heaters available when complained - so they recognise the problem - why not sort it? Would not return at this time of year. Only one chair in a double room; sofa bed with no back rest for sitting.
stayed 2 nights the room was clean and big the bed was very good staff were friendly and helpful and wifi was good would be happy to stay there again
The hotel is very well situated, clean, and very comfortable. Staff were always cheerful.
Price of breakfast.
Toilet roll holder need relocating - you cant sit on the toilet without catching your hip on it
Will not use again Turned away from nearly empty restaurant because they had two large tables in. No way to treat solo travellers
Reception staff were friendly. The room was clean and quiet. parking was never a problem. Value for money - you pay for what you get. We stayed at Holiday Inn previously, a better chain hotel but at a proportionately higher price.
The Beefeater menu was poorer than the Brewer's Fayre menu, and there is a Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre option available closer to the town centre. The cook breakfast was largely microwaved, the grill obviously given the morning off! Result - a tasteless breakfast.
Friendly staff especially at Beefeater
Night noise with banging doors at 1.00am!
The location was very convenient for access to tour around, as we had a 4 night stay. The sleep quality was very good, the room was also very quiet, and a good size.
Excessive noise from the fan which was sited in the bedroom, but was activated by the light being on in the bathroom, so you tried to use the bathroom without turning the light on. The television volume is set at 15 as top volume, so the noise of the fan made it very difficult to hear the TV.
Excellent staff - professional, very helpful, friendly. Room clean and well equipped.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Long wait for cooked breakfast, hash browns and tomatoes only just cooked.
Good welcome. All staff very good.
nothing not to like.
Friendly staff. Excellent bed. Great shower.
Nothing: the décor in the room was slightly dark (probably because of the dark brown finish) but this didn't detract from the enjoyment of the visit.
The bed was comfy
It was to hot and couldn't turn it down and the shower was really hot and couldn't get it to the right temperature and there was dust under the bed and there was a toenail on the floor and dirt on the rim of the toilet
Friendly receptionist gave me a ground floor room when she saw I was on crutches. Even though the hotel is on a busy road I didn't really notice ant traffic noise. The meals at the attached Beefeater Grill were good.
There is no lift. The bathroom is a bit cramped and the toilet roll holder was rather in the way of my right arm.
The excellent staff, good service, very comfortable bed, lots of parking, all round excellent.
Nothing to dislike.
The Premier Inn was incredibly clean and tidy. The staff very friendly, cheerful and polite. Overall very good value for money and no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Fabulous refurbishment but just one major problem. The bathroom extractor fans are incredibly loud. These really need to be looked into because sleep is disturbed not only by your own fan but by neighbouring bathrooms !!
the mattress the fan
shower in the bath was hard to get into no air con in the bathroom was way to hot in there no hair dryer room upstairs at the very far end of the building...very long walk to get to the bed was to high i had to jump to get on it
