good location for shos & theatre. clean
The room was very good and had what it said it would. We had our 4 year old grandson with us and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. Hotel very family friendly, my grandson loved the free kiddie bags with crayons etc in.
Difficult to find parking spaces which became an issue each time we went out in the car.
The location was excellent , close to the shops and beach within easy walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Parking was available easily on site. The rooms were very large clean and very comfortable. We were also lucky enough to have a sea view. Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Overall a very enjoyable stay would definitely recommend it . It was excellent value for money. Well worth paying for the breakfast too! That was excellent quality food.
The only downside was having to queue for a short time for breakfast to wait to be seated.
Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast good apart from toast machine constantly tripping out.
Insufficient parking spaces, we didn't use the car whilst there for fear of not being able to find a space on return. Dining and breakfast facilities were overloaded resulting in some delays, however we were there at one of the busiest weeks of the year.
Staff were helpful,,the hot. l is ideally located near the sea and local amenities. I would recommend this hotel.
The room wasn't cleaned one day!
Room, staff, dining area's, breakfast. Position on the seafront.
The rooms are comfortable and quiet the bar is chilled and relaxing remembering it's also can be a family bar, the restaurant is very nice high quality food cooked how you like it. I found all staff in all of these areas very friendly and welcoming. Tip of the day is , if you want breakfast book it on arrival it just makes so much easier. I will definetly return with the family.
Right near the beach, 10 min walk to centre of town/ boat port.
Noise between floors, noisy people above us.
We enjoyed a particularly large family ground floor room in a new extension to the site and were lucky to have a sea view. The whole place was clean the in good condition with friendly staff. Through a rar door, the beach was only 2 minutes walk away with a pedestrian crossing and bridge right by the hotel.
There was a construction site next door but the booking system warned us of this and it was not very noisy anyway. Main gripe is the limited parking on site which was often full. There is a large (and mostly empty) pay and display car park next door accessible from the hotel so we were always able to park but it would have been nice to be warned to bring change as the hotel details simply say that parking is available on site.
room breakfast reception staff location
Lovely rooms with view Great breakfast Nice bar n restaurant
Needed to keep on top of litter in garden no straws for drinks all week.. !
The hotel was in a great location and easy to get to. The breakfast was good value for money with plenty of choice.
I was horrified to get a parking ticket for pulling into a disabled bay in a very busy car park due to their being no other spaces. As a first time visitor i didn't know the area so pulled in and went to ask staff on reception about parking. I was informed that due to there being no spaces there was a pay and display behind the hotel. I was advised to book in, take my luggage and then move my car. This i did and was parked in the spot less than 20 minutes and during this time incurred a parking ticket. Another family at reception had done the same thing as me and were not ticketed. I noted a lot of visitors during my stay having a similar problem, parking up and being ticketed. I was really annoyed when i over heard a car park attendant allowing a member of staff to park on double yellow lines within the car park to go and check her rota. Over zealous parking attendants in such a location can spoil peoples stay and make them think twice about visiting an otherwise good hotel.
The hotel is very well located on the front. Lives up to the Premier Inn standard with really comfortable beds. Our family room was on the front so had sea view but beer garden is below - fears of noisy nights didn't really materialise. Breakfast is great and good value - waiting staff very helpful
Car parking is at a premium. Arrived back late afternoon second day and had to leave car in adjoining public car park - no biggy really as not too expensive.
Excellent staff and a superb breakfast.
Room service poor, could do with a new vacuum cleaner.
Location was great, within walking distance of the beach. Clean , everything expected from a premier inn.
Parking was a nightmare. Told on booking that didn't need to get a permit and that it was free. when arrived there were no spaces to park as it was a small car park and were told we would have to pay to park in the pay and display next to their car park, can work out quite expensive. We felt being on a budget we had to rush back just to get space on main car park without charge!!
The wet room was good and the facilities generally. Restaurant excellent. Disabled parking filled with food outlets - shame on you!
the bed was too short! My husband is only 5' 9" but it was too short for him. The sliding door on the bathroom was impossible to close. Why so stingy on the Tea and Coffee in the room, 2 of each not enough! Accessible bedroom at the back of the hotel? Not very accessible!
Bed fabulous; bathroom very clean; breakfast very good
Room 30 where my daughter stayed smelt musty. No windows would open and room could have been cleaner. General smell along the corridor like wet carpetting.
The parking facilities are poor. We got a parking ticket as we were told to park on the double yellow lines by the staff. My partner struggles to walk and I am pregnant so not being able to park close to the hotel was an issue. There was no priority fur people staying at the hotel over those eating in the pub.
We booked a week before our trip, and I have to say from the minute we got there the staff were very helpful and polite. Our hotel was just across the road from the beach and we could see the beach from our room. The room was very well laid out and very spacious. We will be coming back next year.
We enjoyed all aspects of this premier in . The location the food the beer the staff . We love coming back each year or near as as this hotel is just right for us
Liked it all
wasn't clean. had to pay for parking. wot I paid shouldn't have to pay. newton abbot a lot cleaner and friendlier
Staff were great!,and very helpful. I love the beer garden.
I didn't really get a good nite sleep!,motor bikes tearing up shedden hill
location and cimfortable bed
open shelves in bedroom. As it was very hot and the windows were locked, we didn't realise until the 2nd day that there was a fan. It was more comfortable heat after that. Breakfast - the fact that I had to order porridge and soya sausage from the waiter/waitress which took quite a long time to appear.
