Small room, dirty bathroom - being asked for extra money for breakfast. Over £8 considered expensive for what was on offer
Convenient for Tring.
Arrived on the evening of the 26th December. On-site restaurant and bar closed! "Didn't you realise it's a public holiday?", we were asked. Er.... yes. So? Luckily we had brought some biscuits.
Staff - could not have been more cheerful and helpful. Free Wifi a bonus
Reception staff friendly. Bed comfortable. Shower and bath clean with good water pressure.
Crow's Nest 'restaurant' - terrible service, unfriendly staff.
On arrival we were greeted by a smiling face at reception, having checked in we were escorted to our room. The whole place has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The bed was a delight to sleep in, but the booze at the family birthday could have something to do with that. Breakfast in the Crows Nest was plentyful and well cooked. Not the cheepest place to stay but well worth the little extra.
It is a little out of the way and means a taxi is needed to go anywhere.
On Google map, the Hotel was listed a "budget hotel", so both my wife and I were not sure what to expect. The room was clean, very comfortable and although we did not arrive until quite late were able to just rest and relax. There was plenty of hot water, so we both had a lovely bath and were pleasantly surprised to find towels were provided and spare pillows were available if needed. In the morning the breakfast was superb. I am gluten intolerant and the staff were very helpful. I had brought my own bread with me which was toasted in the kitchen to avoid contamination and when deciding what I could eat the waitress brought me the breakfast data sheets listing the ingredients of each item.
To be honest I do not think there was anything not too like. Perhaps another chair in the room would be helpful, as one or both of us lay on the bed watching TV and it would have been more comfortable if we both had a chair available.
The bed an how clean an well presented the room was.
It took me ages to figure out how to turn lights on as u have to put in in a slot someone could of said on arrival how key cards work
Friendly reception location overlooking Vale of Aylesbury
Cleaning trolleys in the hallway when we arrived at 1.30pm and 7.30 am. Back car park not covered by CCTV and broken windscreen glass in car park. Small room.
Room was Clean and comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The Beefeater restaurant next door was ideal and I would highly recommend the breakfast.
Staff were pleasant and room refurbishment was nice, interconnecting rooms were useful with kids. Only downside is we were travelling with more luggage having come from overseas and the staircase was small with no lift.
Pleasant staff on reception
everything is brand new bed is superb
beefeater is tired and dated
We found the whole experience a pleasure. My husband was unwell and had to stay in his room and the staff were extremely helpful in arranging for me to take food up to our room. Many thanks to all the staff. And a great view from the window too!
Loved it all
1. Whilst I appreciare that re-decoration is a necessary part of maintaining a hotel, the strong smell of paint in the room, especially at night was quite horrible. The noisy road meant the windows had to stay shut. 2. I was staying at the hotel with my daughter - there is no option to tick above, so I've ticked family with young children (not strictly true).
Very quiet. Well located for Tring and Aylesbury
the room was a bit cold and the heating wasn't very effective
The bed was very comfortable
I didn't get any sleep as the toilet was dripping and making a high pitched screech all night long. I couldn't stand it any longer so got up at 4am and left !!
Really comfy bed, great location, friendly and attentive staff. Fab breakfast next door, easy parking.
A little tired around the edges but that's being addressed.
Comfort and breakfast.
Chaotic breakfast time.
good beds and blackout curtains
food at Beefeater is quite poor, décor is extremely dated, adjoining rooms are like having no wall between you and next door - you can hear next door breathe! Wifi is a lot slower than 4G-waste of money
Helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Provision of fan.
Very noisy bathroom fan
Excellent large car park. Convenient restaurant on site. Warm, clean room with superb hot water and a bath tub (rather than just a shower). Kettle in the room, convenient for tea making on arrival.
Room small compared to other premier inn stayed at needs tlc
Staff always friendly and very good with local knowledge
Not much to dislike
Staff were friendly and helpful, 24hr check in useful too
Bed not great, bathroom quite dirty, tv didn't work properly, heating had unpleasant smell.
Very comfortable bed, good size room, very clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast great choice.
No phone in room to ring Reception if you need them. TV did not have any operating instructions - took 20mins to find out how to turn it on.
