A short south of Twickenham High Street, The Alexander Pope Hotel is a modern, fully air-conditioned hotel with a traditional pub, overlooking the River Thames.
Score from 282 reviews Very good
|Offering a restaurant, Rose of York is located in the leafy suburban town of Richmond upon Thames.||
This Premier Inn is by the Thames, across the river from Kew Gardens. The M4 highway and 2 train stations are within one mile of the property, and it has a terrace and restaurant.
Score from 432 reviews Good

Why no free wifi in this day and age !!
Everything was perfect, excellent, in the Premier Inn.
I was not impressed with the breakfast facilities. The cleanliness of the dishes, cups and generally was poor. The service was basic. It really lets the Premier sleeping accommodation down. A real shame.
The Staff were all very helpful & friendly. I must stress, this disaster was not their fault but acted on orders recieved from some Manager...who obviously had no idea how to treat guests. Ok, policies are one thing but can be altered according to situations. I have worked with the public all my life so know this.... "Alexandra",fantastic! So helpful, warm & friendly...A pleasure to meet her!
When our card would not work, we offered to pay 1,2,3 nights in advance, until next morn. when we could go to bank..had just arrived, tired from Portugal! were sent running to the bank for the rest of the money in the rain..for all of it, We had booked in advance for 10 days! Our third long stay at this Premier Inn.. bank closed..so had to have a new invoice..extra £85! Appalling rip off. Will not use a Premier Inn again. No! I did not have a good nights rest after such a miserable hassle!
- Cleanliness - Large and comfortable room (incl bathroom) - Quality of bed - Excellent location - Availability of competent and friendly staff - Coffee + kettle in the room - Price
Food was poor, service in the pub was very poor, seems that if a rugby match is on the standards of food and bar service fall to below acceptable standards
Staff were excellent and friendly.
As always comfortable bed and room, great tv in the room.
Why can't premier include free wifi for the stay. would rather have a few quid included on the bill and have free wifi - it is the 21st century.
Premier Inn was OK and comfortable but hot and stuffy
Pub next door for full English (cold) breakfast No choice of toast (awaiting delivery) Felt sorry for helpful staff
Rooms were recently refurnished.Very clean and comfortable. Staff was really kind and friendly. Train station only 5 min walking.
Breakfast is served in the Pub beside the hotel, which offered bad service. Only one person attending the tables, in a dirty environment. Poor quality of meal. It doesn't worth the money you pay.
Thought the rooms were really good and clean staff very curtiouse and happy
Thought if was a little exspesive £150 for two nights ummm
car park location for transit
Pub and nightclub next door. Clean and comfortable. Loads of hot water.
Alexandra from the hotel was very helpful
Very pleasant service from front staff ( woman) Poor understanding of chef of what had been written as breakfast order .
Environment grubby . Cheap , ancient toaster unacceptable for self service . Whole breakfast room needs a refurbishment Very average breakfast for £8.75 ..
it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Parking was excellent and it was so easy to get to. staff were very helpful and friendly.
We both had bad nights sleep because of the noise from other residents including someone knocking on the door at 1 in the morning - not the fault of the hotel..... no opportunity for an early breakfast before one of us needed to leave and the other breakfast was not particularly good - it arrived as i ate fruit and was spaced out on the plate so was cold when i started.... the fruit was still frozen and it was all a bit rushed.... i ordered two bits of bacon and only had one. I had paid extra for this! Wi-fi should be automatically included -
Everything about this stay was great .
Just one thing there were no coat hangers in the room
Most things were good for what we needed.
The food next door was awful
The location was great for me as I was visiting friends in Twickenham and could walk from the hotel, but it would be a bit far out of central London. The room was comfortable, large, and clean. Despite being near to Heathrow, it was suprisingly quiet.
I arrived late at night after a 7 hour journey, the lady on reception was incredibly helpful and offered to bring my food to my room If I ordered in the attached restaurant. She also brought me a hairdryer. Very happy to arrange taxis for me as soon as I asked both mornings too. The fixtures and furnishings in the hotel rooms were excellent. very modern and clean.
For a single women travelling alone and needing to eat later on in the evening, the "restaurant" didn't feel inviting or safe. It was a pub really, and the breakfast was poor. The was not a great menu, very much deep fried burgers, chips etc.
Great location, friendly front desk staff. Also had a fan in the room as it had been so warm which was great!
Pub next door was a little noisy, and as so hit had window open. Not unbearable though!
Plug sockets difficult to limited , bed very soft and uncomfortable, too low for access etc regarding disability
Staff really nice and helpful.
Room was boiling hot with no ventilation, and on a flight path so couldn't open any windows to cool the room, at 1 point the digital thermostat on the wall displayed 37 degrees in the middle of the night, got about 1 hours sleep all night
breakfast poor value
The staff - the only person working was the receptionist and she spoke to us abruptly, she was not at all friendly and she was very unhelpful.
Good car parking , good location for our needs , clean and tidy staff very pleasant
the Pub adjoining the inn was not very clean and was in need of re decoration
