Reception Staff Quietness

The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly, every member of staff we interacted with made us feel like our happiness was their only goal. The location is spectacular, close to the city centre but set in the middle of beautiful parkland to really give that "getaway" feel. The adjoining restaurant, in a converted Georgian mansion, was as fabulous as ever - The food was top-notch, staff pleasant and helpful, the prices reasonable, everything completely spick and span. This restaurant is a favourite of ours, but this was the first time we had stayed in the hotel - We were not disappointed. Our room was clean, fresh- smelling and well-equipped, the bed was unbelievably comfortable and everything worked perfectly. A fabulous location, worth a visit for business or for pleasure - I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely nothing - We loved every single minute of our stay!

You said 10mins walk from there to the town on the internet well thats not true we tried it and its too far away

You allowed people to book to live there but never explained to them that there will be a noise from partys out side with loud music until 12pm at night

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in an excellent, green location but close to city centre amenities.

it was in a lovely part of Wakefield right in Thornes Park so a very tranquil and quiet position and it was a really good hotel.when you were in the Breakfast and Dining Area in the pub attached it felt like you were in a country house hotel as the pub used to be an old house the food is good too the staff at the pub and hotel were very friendly and could not do enough for you the decor is lovely too.on my first night I was roomsharing with a friend and as she was only staying one night the hotel managed to transfer my booking so that for my second night I could keep the same room thus avoiding a room change which was excellant service.me and my friends would highly reccomend this hotel if you are visiting Wakefield myself and one of my friends said it was one of the best Premier inns we have stayed in. April in Stoke on trent.

It was perfectly placed to visit The Hepworth Wakefield, a gallery that was a short walk from the Premier Inn. The staff were very friendly, the rooms clean and quiet, and the dinner next door at the restaurant was good in delightful surroundings. Everything was good apart from the breakfast. I would recommend the place but advise people not to have breakfast.

The breakfast was average. Small room off the kitchens, with staff going in and out of the kitchens with parcels and general stuff. The cleaning fluid bottle left out on the sideboard, obviously ready for use but very unsightly. Only three squashed in small tables. Coffee was kept hot in a thermos type jug, nasty stuff. Is it too difficult to have a coffee machine for the customers? No marmalade, they were waiting for a delivery. All in all it spoilt the stay and I would be reluctant to return because of the breakfast.

We both enjoyed the location as it is away from busy roads and is ideally situated for walks in the park.The staff are always friendly and helpful.During our stay we thought the food was excellent;not only breakfast but the evening meals too.There are plenty of places to sit and relax.We shall definitely return.

My husband and myself stayed at the Premier on the evening of our sons wedding. We had an absolutley brilliant day,food was excellent,service excellent. And a very clean and comfortable room.

The location was good with convenient access to Wakefield & Leeds city centres.

I was utterly disappointed with my stay as we hardly got any sleep at all over our two night stay. We even had to move rooms for the second night. The first night we were given room no. 7, but next door in room no.8 we were kept awake all night long, as it was clear that there was a man next door who had a very bad hooping cough and was not well, also during the night, both my partner and I were kept awake itching all over, only to discover that we had been infested with ants and bitten all over both our bodies (took pictures as evidence). We reported this immediately. The next morning we went to the receptionist to complain about the room, the man coughing (which the receptionist agreed he looked very unwell when he left), and showed off some off the large bites on our legs and backs. The second night we spent the scratching our irritating bites and listening to people coming back to their rooms at the early hours of the morning (there must have been a function as they all knew each other and were chatting outside our door). I had to ask them to be quiet which was met with some minor friction, I wasn't comfortable about it. I asked for a refund on the two nights and was only disappointedly given one nights refund. I am thinking of taking this higher, especially regarding the infestation of ants. Unfortunately not a happy camper this time! Which is unusual as my stay is normally very pleasant in the hotels I've stayed in the past. Once again I have pictures & video of both the ants and the bites they caused. I look forward to a response at your earliest convenience.

value for money, and excellent food in the restaurant

It was clean and the staff very friendly. the inn next door was also good value and convenient.

It is in a pleasant setting. The hotel is in an attractive buiding. The restaurant and bar gave good service.
