Desk to work from in room. Wifi. Friendly helpful staff. Great location, only 5 minutes walk from town center, railway station and the training center I was based at for the week. I asked for and got a quiet room away from lift / staircase. Not applicable. Met all my requirements

On arrival the female member of staff was excellent, welcoming, knowledgeable but not gushing.Breakfast was cooked to order not buffet style which is often less than hot- The only fault with breakfast was the vacuum flasks with hot water for tea.I like tea with boiling water. We struggled to find the place as the sat nav insisted we went down a tow path to a dead end by the river which we later found out was at the back of the hotel. The only small thing for me in the room was the bed was a little firm for my liking but then you rightly cater for everyone not just me

we were booked on the 4th floor, elevator had not been working for weeks. finally got moved to 1st floor, kept awake by students, all other rooms on 1st floor were allotted to students. Hot water tank broke on our arrival, not fixed by morning, we left and got other accommodation, got a full refund. I had flown in from Canada the same day as going to this hotel, met with my wife, not romantic at all !!!!!

Its location (only 10 minutes walk from Bank Quay station via Arpley Street over the rail lines, then left through an unnamed "buses only" street to Centre Park - and not much further to Warrington centre). The breakfasts provided next store at the pub-restaurant were ok. The bathroom had one of the most user-unfriendly showers I have ever encountered - when turned on, it shoots out a strong spray of ice-cold water, and you have to reach through the water to turn the temperature up. Best to turn the water on before you get in the showerbox, and then adjust the temperature before getting in. Good luck on shutting it off at the end without getting hit by frozen water! The wooden floors are very creaky, and we had the misfortune to have guests staying in the room above us who arrived back both nights at 1 am, sounding like a herd of elephants. The digital tv did not have access to the "red button" (for detailed weather info, etc). Our room window had a crack in it, and the window handles did not feel secure. The small lobby had no casual internet and few services. The whole place had a feeling of not being looked-after sufficiently. Not a premier experience, by any means.

Quiet, nice room, friendly staff. Advertised price for rooms was misleading-- a definite 'come on'-- we paid more than twice as much. It was an inconvenience to walk (in the pouring rain) to the restaurant next door for breakfast (not included). But I highly recommend the restaurant in every way.
