The accommodation and receptions staff were excellent with regards to customer service and cleanliness of the room. Staff were friendly and helpful in all respects. Unfortunately the Breakfast room was poor despite the fact that the food was probably okay. However, the cleanliness of the room and the shabbiness of the furniture and fittings leaves a lot to be desired. We therefore only used the room once and this was a big disappointment. This room needs a thorough upgrade including re painting and new furniture and carpeting. This aspect of the total accommodation package needs urgent attention.

Large bed, clean sheets, extra pillows, adjacent to pub for breakfast, lovely helpful receptionist. Receptionist was able to help with setting up room as we had booked it while we ate. Booking.com had booked wrong type of room different from my confirmation (no kids beds made up).If we had arrived late with tired kids this would not have been a good scenario. towels were completely thread bare - holes in all large towels.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet room. Good location just off m62. The pub next door - The Swan - is the only dining option within walking distance, including for the hotel breakfast. It isn't that great for service or quality of food.

A really good location for liverpool and manchester. have stayed here 3 times. The staff are first class and the hotel was lovely and clean and comfortable.

Staff very helpful and courteous - I was impressed. Hotel was fine for what we wanted - a convenient stopping point to break up our journey up north. No frills but clean and convenient For a family room, our room was very small. I wouldn't have worked for more than a one night stopping point.
