We only stayed for 2 nights however found Weymouth to be a fairly nice seaside town that feels like it's 'on the up' with lots of boutique shops and cafes as well as some lovely places to eat. It's also a great place to base yourself for exploring Dorset with Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Ringstead bay to the East and the Jurassic coast to the West.

Lovely place, the harbour has been pedestrianised with really nice fish restaurants with views of the harbour while you dine outside. More fishing boats here now to service them. A great place to watch people & boats go by while you drink or eat
Beach is mostly sandy & great for dogs to exercise

Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors.
Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors. A lovely wide and sandy main beach, where you can walk all the way along to Bowleaze cove, another nice spot (pebble beach) but quieter.
Brewers Quay is great to wander around, plenty of cafes and restaurants and again you can walk to North Fort which looks out to Portland.
Sandsfoot Castle and beach is a nice place to visit in the summer.

My partner & I have always loved weymouth.we did get rain & wind but we expected it being in February but ,lovely beach even @ night listening to the waves & in the spring & summer it's even better as can enjoy the beach / shops & views ect much more x.the only thing I did worry about though was lots of police presence on the road where we stayed, just a few doors up & cordoned off with police tape & 2 police vans & cars parked outside & never left for the 24 hours we were there .nice places to eat ,we found are the old rooms in pub/ restaurant & the marlboro chip shop/ restaurant which is green outside & has a little bridge over the water near to it where the boats are .

I just love Weymouth I go with my granddaughters often and just stay in whichever is cheapest at the time of booking
This place is our favourite so far the pool sauna jacuzzi steam room and breakfast where brilliant
The room (Rm 101) was spacious, overlooked the seafront and extremely well equipped. The large shower was excellent. The room itself was [almost] perfect. Of particular note were the specialist reading lights beside the bed (often missing in the best hotels). The picture shows view from our window.
The serve yourself continental breakfast was fine but not exciting.
We stayed on a Friday night and on returning to our hotel after dinner out found a superb jazz party going on in the bar led by a lady who performs there every Friday evening.
The room is exactly as seen in the pictures. It is quite tastefully done with the decor and the furniture. The room was perfect for our family of four. Lynne and Andy helped us get comfortable and also provided information about places to eat and see in Weymouth. The breakfast was good and well planned. We were in the Romsey suite and the vibe of the hotel/room was extremely welcoming. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Thank you Lynne and Andy for making our stay perfect!!
Everything is that bit nicer than it needs to be, we felt so well cared for. The refreshments tray has Fairtrade hot chocolate, speciality coffees and nice biscuits, with fresh milk in a fridge. The breakfast basket was superb and beautifully presented; a special mention to the fruit salad, what an amazing range of fruits! The location is perfect, just across from the quieter end of Weymouth beach. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you so much.
The location of the Riviera is second to none...but most of the reviews were bad...so we booked it to see what it was like..and it wasn't that bad..
The hotel needs a lot of work doing to it... but the room were clean and tidy but there was a slight odour...the breakfast was ok.
We would book this hotel again..
Location amazing, just ran out of the sea and across the road into hot shower. Brilliant. Staff fabulous and very helpful. Some rooms a little tired. But hotel is refurbishing. Better breakfast elsewhere in town. Limited parking for disabled outside. Weymouth is so historic. Would recommend a visit.
Great location, within walking distance to beach & all main Weymouth attractions. Just next to the harbour so lots of restaurants and bars close by. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook/cater for a family. Very clean. Had a great stay.
The location of the hotel was great, right in front of the beach, very central, 4 minutes walling distance to train station. Staff in the front bar was very kind to my dog, the cafe / lobby area is nice with sea view but could be more comfy.
Location was very good and the Breakfast staff was very attentive and friendly other than that we thought it was overpriced for what it was. Everything in this hotel is dated and perhaps the standards was more akin to a Motel than a Hotel.
First time staying at this hotel, couldn't fault anything,we took our 4 month old puppy, very dog friendly, she enjoyed it as much as us.very clean ,our room was nicely done, staff very friendly, and right on seafront, definitely go back.
We loved everything about the Cornubia !! The breakfast was amazing and the room was nice and the location was perfect for us...the owners we're so helpful 😄
The next time we're in Weymouth were definitely book again ...
Friendly hosts, excellent breakfast the Owners could not have been more accommodating. Close to the seafront and all that Weymouth has to offer, would totally recommend the Rosefield and would definitely return.
The rooms were well equipped and very comfortable ,The hosts very friendly and welcoming ,the hotel is a stones throw from the beach ,10mins walk from the centre of Weymouth.
The hotel is dreadful there is simply nothing to like about it. I would say the location is fine we wanted to be in Weymouth but that's all I can say is positive about it
It was a fabulous location. Great view of the Beach and Seafront. The sand looks great for families. Weymouth did not disappoint. Top marks to the Hotel.
