The cold bedroom.
I could not get the heating to work properly and should have asked for more help from the staff. My main reason to mention this is to highlight the lack of information in the room to set the heating. As I only stayed one night I did not seek enough help.
Proximity to M6. Friendly, helpful staff, cleanliness, good value food in adjacent pub, good cooked breakfasts. Overall very good value.
Three stories, but no lift in accommodation block.
Ambiance of the inn
Inferior toilet paper No coffee biscuits
The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful in every way.
The room was very very cold. Despite being given a space heater, we were still to cold to sleep.
friendly staff clean room
enjoyed every minute
it was convenient to the venue we were attending. one of the desk staff was very helpful.
Being woken up and being evacuated from the building due to a fire alarm at 3.30 am on New Years day. We were evacuated for 45 minutes in the freezing cold whilst the fire brigade attended. We found out on check out that it was a false alarm as a resident had been smoking in their room. This could have been avoided by ensuring everyone is made fully aware of the no smoking policy on check in. This totally disrupted us and prevented our good nights sleep which the premier inn guarantees.....I feel very strongly that we should be compensated for this inconvenience - the price of the room was £76, so not exactly value for money.
Great location pleasant staff comfortable bed.
Brown stained bedsheets. Disturbed sleep due to fire alarm at 330am due to someone smoking in their room. Got a full refund back for stained bed sheets.
Check-in speedy. Very helpful with booking taxis etc. Ideal location.
Good beds Clean Convenient
Heating insufficient Wifi should be free at all times No on-site facilities
Staff very friendly throughout this hotel place to eat opposite the inn was the same polite & very efficient towards the customer I would use this inn again without hesitation np
The staff were so kind and helpful, I will definitely recommend you to my friends. My partner was in Wrightington Hospital for a hip replacement, and as we live in Cumbria I wanted somewhere to stay near to the Hospital,it was great, thank you so much.
Location Staff Room decor Cleanliness
No tissues No hair conditioner No face cloth Not enough tea/coffee/milk in room No biscuits
excellent customer service, both evening and night staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room was clean and tidy with fresh towels and Fully stocked T & coffee facilities.
The heating in the room didn't seem to be working and the tv had very poor reception making other than bbc programmes impossible to watch
The location to the motorway was good.
The check-in process was slow and I was not impressed that the member of staff took an internal call during the check-in which further delayed the process. With no lift we had to carry our child and luggage up stairs. The bed or pillows were not of the usual standard and the additional bed was incredibly uncomfortable and resulted in our daughter sharing the main bed as she was unable to sleep in it.
Excellent facilities - booked a double room and a family room for our stay. Excellent standard of cleanliness, towels very white, soft and fluffy - appeared brand new. Breakfast was of a very high standard and the hot items were cooked to order.
Lots of space in the room for the children, and the huge bed for us.
The room was lovely and warm. Very spacious and clean. Quiet and peaceful nights sleep.
Shouldn't have to pay for Wifi lots of stairs no lift
Closeness to the motorway and the fuel station's proximity. I also like the disabled features that the room provided.
Bed was comfy
Noise was not acceptable and I didn't have a good nights sleep and neither did my partner. The receptionist made no attempt to justify or discuss the bad nights sleep! Not really a good nights sleep guaranteed is it?!?!
Parking right at the front door. Staff where extremely welcoming, they went above and beyond. On arrival they made us feel at home, offered to find directions to where we where going the day after, and directed us to the 'fair and square' that again is right outside the front door. Had tea there without having to get in car again and menu was great for family dining, bonus was kids play area ideal for burning off steam after long car journey. On return to premier inn staff kindly took our breakfast order as we had a very early start the next morning. Which although couldnt be full monty was the best continental I've had (cereal, gronola, fruit salad, berries, yoghurt, croissants, bread, jam and fruit juice). All delivered to the room for us first thing. Had a quad room which was very clean, comfy and quiet. Had a really good nights sleep and would happily stay again. Thank you
No complaints at all
lack of food facility....expensive voucher for breakfast
Friendly staff, quality of the rooms, close enough to M6 for easy access and yet far enough away not to be bothered by road noise and good food,
Just a minor point for us were the rooms tended to be hot during night. Used the fans provided to cool the rooms before going to sleep but often woke during the night with being too hot.
Staff were very friendly and informative. Will be back.
The hotel was reasonable in general but nothing exceptional
£80 a room for one person - and then want more for wifi? I have stayed many times at other less expensive hotels which have free wifi - no registration or "30 mins restricted wifi free". I was kept awake half the night by a screaming child (not baby) across the corridor and when I tried to complain in the morning could find no one on reception despite ringing the bell. The bed was OK but rather hard for my taste although I prefer a firm bed normally. No alternative to a heavy duvet on a warmish night. Not happy.
