We didn't have time to explore the local area as we decided to leave the Britannia Hotel after 2hrs!
First impressions around the vicinity of the hotel were poor. Area appeared dilapidated, untidy and overgrown with weeds.
Wouldn't want to return!

Very poor in appearance. Running tap that don't turn off.
Very poor in appearance. Running tap that don't turn off. Rooms not very clean. Towel only for one person and not even a bath mat. Food bad and staff not really interested about the guest.. a plus side was we had a great meal in the premier inn across the road. Friendly. Come on Brittania up your game.
Dog friendly room very good. Staff made us feel very welcome. Lovely pub and food. Room comfortable and clean. Walking distance to Standish which presented several pubs, cafes and shops.
Bed, carpets, sink and toilet clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car park easy to access and well lit. Hotel was very reasonable in price but could easily improve in a few areas.
